Skull Kid in OoT

When you finish the Happy Mask Trading Quest, you get to see Skull Kid playing his flute, right? I try to kill him and I get the first attack in, but I can't seem to get the last few attacks to hit him. Anyone know why?

Also, for people who are wondering about the reward- it is an orange rupee the size of Adult Link which fills up to 500 mesos or 300 mesos I believe.

Why don't you just use random mixes of items and try to kill him.

How do you know you can kill him in the first place?

In many games there are people you can supposedly hurt, but not kill.

Why would you want to kill the innocent flute player anyways? (Well, I guess I would want to kill him since I'm evil but, to the general public...)

Why would you give a person so many rupees just for this, unless you were really desperate.

Might I say more.

I don't have any problems killing him, just use the biggoron sword and sidestep his attacks. Also, the rupee is worth 200 (the same as a gold rupee). By the way, you can only kill him as an adult, since he'll just dissapear if you attack him as a kid.

I think that true. (but I don't quite know)

I guess I was wrong...

I always thought that was the same skull kid from MM because in the game

Anju's Grandmother tells a story of an imp, who was skull kid, and he was bannished from Termina. Thus he found his way to hyrule, and led link down the hole to Termina.

according to my sources Navi disappeared after the end of Oot and then Link went looking for Navi in the lost woods and then eventually he came to Terminia because he went a certain path and then he eventually came across skull kid.

To be fair, the skull kid will attack you first, so you might as well teach him a lesson.

You're sources are almost right, Link goes looking for Navi while on Epona. The skull kid attacks him and steals the ocarina of time and Epona. He then warps him to termina/turns him into a deku scrub. There we go :)
