And yeah, going with a running nickname theme makes things more fun, though I tend to go with a tv show or something. though mostly its been characters I liked so far.
 
Also, if anyone can get me a freaking joltik at any point, or tell me where I can see one so I can ask on the GTC or whatever, I will love you forever. I have a team with themed names, and I'm missing one. I need that elec/bug type, and the only one that fits that is jolik.

I was just thinking about the rivals (more like companions) in this game, and I thought it'd be pretty cool if in one game you had some pen pal/internet friend who lived on the other side of the same region, and they keep in touch via text as you both set out, and you meet up in some town or route halfway through the region for a battle you've been anticipating for like half the game. That'd be cool.

I can only think of three girls I've ever been in a "mutually interested potential relationship status" with, and all three of those ended because the girl had to move away somewhere for one reason or another. The farthest I ever got with any of them was two dates. All three of those girls I have heard from since may, and all three of them have said that, if it were a different place and a different time under different circumstances, they would have loved to have dated me. One of them even called the first date I took her on the best date she'd ever been on in her entire life. Which is flattering, considering all we did was buy a pizza and talk. It's good to know that it really was just the fact that unchangeable circumstances kept any of us apart and all, but god dammit WHY DOES EVERYONE KEEP MOVING AWAY. FUCK.

I now know the horrors of a library for a backlog. All of them are downloaded, downloading, or will be downloaded when they come out. Also, everything I had tagged as "rewatch" lol. Also fixed up a few of my ratings by lowering some and taking a point off ones I should rewatch so that it's not too high before I have a better opinion of it because a lot of anime on here I haven't watched in forever.

on topic: i (re?)discovered two pet peeves of mine last night.
1) asking dumb questions about a tv series while its playing, mostly because they skipped episodes or apparently know nothing about how shows and plot works. this would be the equivalent of "why is Harry Potter so special???" or "why can't he just kill voldemort???"
 
id explain most of them briefly, but when it was a well-executed scene with emotional meaning or symbolism or something, i got fed up and resorted to proclamations of "PLOT MAGIC, OKAY". Earthy has expressed her immense frustration with this person before, but I had never felt like physically tossing them out of the room as much as i did last night.
 
2) having a re-showing of a series/stretch of episodes for your sake, then paying much more attention to your computer while claiming that youre totally watching it. like hell youre watching it. its one thing if the show is english, but when it subtitled, its damn impossible to multitask like that. and when several people are rewatching those eps for your sake, you had better get off your computer and enjoy it, not ask us "when will this be over? my friend wants to play MMOs with me". like, goddamn, watch it on your own time then, or just dont watch it.

so sayuri and i were looking up some voice actors without english pages to try to find their other roles, etc, and i saw a series "ping drum wheel ru". Enjoy, everyone, the abomination that is google translate + penguindrum's page.
