    I've been expecting them to do some thing where it turns out that Satsuki and Junketsu's relationship is a lot more cold and unforgiving than Ryuuko and Senketsu's, and maybe some weird symbolism about purity, but I can't think of a sensible reason for that kind of interpretation. Or Satsuki being a total softy and being bros with Junketsu like Ryuuko is with Senketsu. Maybe she talks to Junketsu all the time, like Ryuuko does to Senketsu, only we can't see it, kind of like how Senketsu can literally run on his own, but Mako and co. can't see it, with Ryuuko's interactions being visible only so we can see what's going on, unless the director doesn't want us to-- ie, Ryuuko ironing Senketsu and Mako's family being weirded out, and from their perspective, Senketsu's mouth doesn't move. I also have imagined that maybe Junketsu is constantly trying to talk Satsuki out of being a horrible dictator, or trying to plead with her, but Satsuki completely ignores the wishes of her kamui because she "wears" clothes, rather than "being worn by them", and Satsuki will use anything she can with utmost control and pure self-interest. But yeah, Junketsu and Satsuki's relationship will totally be a thing. 300% banking on it.

    More like a total unrelenting motherpuppyer/tactical genius. She's one of the most endearing characters of the show, which is not to say any of the characters aren't endearing. You should really consider watching Kill la Kill.

    Anybody else think maybe Junketsu talks to her in the same way that Senketsu talks to Ryuko? Think there's anything going on there?

    Saw this today. It's getting a lot of hate from the Tumblr community. The scariest part is, I think some of these people are really, truly, honestly offended by this.

    Car companies getting in on the anime crowd is just the weirdest thing. Yet it's simultaneously kinda' awesome.

    So they still just took a song from the OST and put it to clips from the PV for Viva Namida? I don't understand why they're even doing that. D: The actual OP is so amazing; why FUNi why ;;

    Dandy 2

    Not bad. The first half was similar to the second half of the first episode with a bunch of action while the second half was more talky, but this time it was pretty enjoyable with the ramen maker. Gogol Empire streetview was a fantastic joke. Seems like it's going to be a pretty good anime. The OP is still as bad as I remember and can't even compare to the actual OP, but the ED they used wasn't that bad... if you don't compare it to the actual ED.

    Comedy is still as silly as the first episode, which is good. Looking forward to the next rest of the season.

    What a load of 5am-value wank. I actually did still hold some of this to heart when I woke up this morning, but with less grandeur and enthusiasm, with some comic cynicism mixed in to preserve some humility. I joined the gym/swimming pool, looked into piano lessons, and asked around for work at 12 places. Previously, when looking for work, I would linger outside the shop I was going to ask in, too afraid to interact, and 9 times out of 10 I would walk away without even going inside, and if I did manage to ask, it would be flustered. But I managed to keep my cool through all 12 interactions, and I felt like a good ol' proper person, talking well enough and not seeming incredibly nervous. So whatever clicked last night lasted until today, and even if this confidence doesn't last for long I did good today.

    I still kind of feel like there's a sort of strength in being able to band together your body and mind to serve a common purpose. Being able to take conscious thought and put it into action, instead of just thinking "maybe not" while your body lies flat on its' back, waiting for the committee of the mind to decide what it should make the body do. It sounds like a silly metaphor or idea, but it makes some sense.

    Riding the confidence train feels like those magic moments in games where you hit a really good run and you're scoring tons of combos, and you wonder "How is this going on so long!", but when you get too confident in it, and you become aware of it, that can be when it falls flat. I hope it isn't the same case now, since I've just sat down after today, and all of that energy might just dissipate and not come back for days or weeks. But it's like, I feel like if I stop, I'll lose it all. But I'll try not to think so seriously about it and just enjoy it, and hope that it wont go away too soon, and I'll be able to continue doing the things I want to do. That the cooperation between my intentions and my actions wont end.

    Dandy 1

    So, the sub of Dandy is actually pretty comparable to the dub. Several things are different, but in minor ways. The dub definitely has a lot more jokes added in than the Japanese version, but all the voices are p. good in both EXCEPT FOR BLOND GIRL FROM BOOBIES IN THE JAPANESE DUB. Holy goodness, her voice is too high-pitched, it's completely awful. Besides that, it's great, but QT's voice in the English dub is actually more cute than the Japanese version, strangely enough.

    BUT the Japanese version is superior because it has the OP and ED, which are perfect in every way:

    OP
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-eLNPkxD2w

    ED

    Like, the OP is EXACTLY what I expected from Watanabe after Cowbow Bebop and Samurai Champloo. It's perfect and holds its own against the other two. So, sorry, Toonami, but Japanese version comes out ahead until proven otherwise. I hope they play either during one of Toonami's blips, I mean it's just as long as the other music videos they've played recently or shorter.
