Agent Zako

Personally the fanservice doesn't really detract from the experience for me. As far as Ryouko goes, its not any worse than Yoko fanservice from Gurren Lagann. In addition, Ryouko and Satsuki and basically everyone else's characters are far above such things. I don't watch Satsuki look down on everyone and think "man Satsuki is such a dumb fanservice character ugh." I think something more like "I would follow Lady Satsuki to the ends of the earth".
 
Basically you shouldn't interpret this show as nothing but an excuse to have a girl in a revealing outfit, because that clearly isn't the case. There is one particular line of the show I particularly like:

I was recently contacted by my Elementary school seems they are tossing out old student records and wondered if I was interested in having them. I drove to my old home town and picked them up. 
 
Amongst the papers was a questionnaire I filled out as a kid which asked "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Apparently I wrote "I want to be a police man" and under the "why" column I answered "Because they can shoot people". This caused quite a concern to my teacher and she wrote a note voicing concern.
 
I called my mother and asked her if my teacher ever mentioned that and she said yes and promised that it meant nothing. I completely forgot about that and I find it funny that I now work in security with of all things a gun.

I witnessed these Morning Rescue shenanigans firsthand, and can vouch for how great it was. My mornings will never be the same.

For anyone who hasn't watched Madoka, or watched Madoka but didn't watch gg subs' version, or looked up a synopsis because you are the lamest imouto ever, gg inserted a silly commercial into every episode they subbed, even though it only officially aired during the first episode, because the commercial was so silly, and Madoka was so despair, creating a surprising juxtaposition almost akin to rickrolling. It's somewhat of a meme amongst the Madoka fanbase.
 

 
I, being the showing director at our anime club, inserted this commercial somewhere in nearly every one of our meetings for kicks, since persistence and dedication to the gag was what made gg subs' move so hilarious. During one meeting when we watched the first Dragonball episode, I perfectly edited the commercial right into where an actual commercial would have gone. It was great. The president tends to hit me or glare at me when I do this. Unfortunately, Morning Rescue is discontinued in real life, so I was never able to do something silly like bring some to club.
 
So our treasurer is the president's boyfriend, and he came to me proposing that we play a prank on the anime club on the last meeting we have. I was uncomfortable because I didn't want to spend a lot of money. But he paid for suits, hats, and gloves. And he gave them to me to give them... special treatment.
 

 

 
I made a stencil with paper, then transferred that stencil to a collapsed cereal box so that it was all in one piece and sturdy enough for multiple uses. I used spray primer from Wal-Mart because it's cheap and usable on clothing. I originally tried to just replicate the logo with a pencil and a ruler, onto craft foam.
 

 
I actually bought rubber rain boots from Wal-Mart for 14 dollars. They were cheaper than I expected, and I'm actually using them regularly now because I think I look pretty good in boots, and they're really good for traveling around on bike or on foot through snow. After three spray cans and some hot glue to keep the collar the right shape,

The treasurer had bought water bottles, which were filled with orange Tang because I offhandedly mentioned that it would be more anime-appropriate than orange soda. They didn't get the reference to Evangelion though. This is what I looked like underneath the clothes.
 

 
Admittedly, the bottle looks really ghetto. Anyway, in our club room, I use the teacher's desk while everyone sits at student desks. So no one can see my legs. We were watching the first Eden of the East movie, and during it, I took off my pants discreetly in the darkness. When the time came, the treasurer and the other guy that was in on it left the room saying they had to get something from the car or something. Before the raffle we were holding, I quickly played the Morning Rescue commercial and hid underneath the desk to quickly strip my jackets and put on my hat. Everyone thought I was hiding from the president, including the president herself, but then I surfaced in the middle of the commercial with a box full of fake Morning Rescue in full Morning Rescue attire (minus rappelling gear), and dropped it on one of the student desks. Like, by some stretch of the imagination, they may have expected me to pull something like this alone, but then the other two guys burst into the room in their Morning Rescue gear. Everyone was stunned and some of them were laughing really really hard. The president just had this incredulous look on her face. It was hilarious. We then all three took a firm stance and popped open a bottle to take a drink simultaneously. It took our club like ten minutes to settle down. It was totally worth all the money and effort.
 
Unfortunately, because of our lack of rehearsals, we kind of screwed up when communicating to the people that were supposed to record, so only one guy got footage on his cell phone, that doesn't record sound. The other guy didn't know when he was supposed to record. I've been waiting for the guy with a recording to send the footage, but it's been a couple weeks. I also didn't fullscreen the commercial when I played it 'cause I don't do very well under pressure, and the volume was too low so I had to turn up the dial under the desk before the other guys charged into the room. Also, it was actually really really nice outside, like 60 degrees, so I was really hot in my layers all day. But it was still great. Definitely the most fun I've had at this college.

Something that reminded me to update this thread and others on my recent activity; I was practicing mixing [music] and I eventually threw on a dubstep track I have, just in case someone requests something like that, and for my amusement I tried to mash it up with Michael Jackson. I told one of my music-friends about how I practiced mixing for like six hours straight, and offhandedly told him that I did this, and he got really excited and wanted to hear what Michael Jackson set to dubstep sounds like. So I was like okay lol, I'll try and put something together, but don't expect anything super pro or anything.
 
So I formulated a little routine in like twenty minutes and then took like four takes. This is all with live inputs and mixing by sight and memory, because my equipment is ghetto, and when I sent it to him, I decided to just make it public because yolo.

I'm actually caught up on Kill la Kill sooner than expected. Let me also declare that I have hopped on the hype-train for episode 12. Spoils for 11 ahead.

That picture is of a ground-type Dom and mine is of a Zaku II, neither of which are technically Gundams, just mobile suits, which is what they call mecha in every gundam setting, but I don't expect most people to know that so it's cool. I've been at SWIC since I graduated high school, same as some other dudes here. I've been there for two and a half years now. And yes, you can see some more recent stuff here's one that's a few weeks more recent than the last, but still from spring of 2012 :3 I'll get to the present as soon as I build up the courage.

But none of that matters right now. No, what matters is how gay we all are, and how I am obviously the least gay one here.

Like Pheo, I also happen to be an art major who's been taking classes these past couple years. I haven't been able to take many classes at a time so far because of money, but hopefully I take advantage of my good grades and get some scholarship money so I can just finish with community college and move on to whatever's next. 
 
In the meantime I think it'd be a good idea to get some of my work out there. I have a deviantart but I mostly use it to track artists than post stuff. I'll start with my class stuff and them maybe that'll inspire me to draw and paint more on my own time. Here's a huge, blurry photograph of a graphite and charcoal picture of a Zaku II looking badass from a couple years ago. I apologize for the image quality, I'm not good with an iphone  >.> Looking back on it there's a lot I would do differently had I made this recently, but for the time I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out.

Or, you could watch/play what I'm about to recommend to Agent Zako, which is Asura's Wrath. I recommend it on the basis that he likes intense violence put to well known classical music, and Asura's Wrath has an entire "episode" completely devoted to literally and exactly that, verbatim.
