  1. Teto liked a post in a topic by Chase in Who is Link really?
My specific personalty for Link, in most of the games, is a kid with convictions that doesn't quite fit in. Like, he usually starts from a very humble place (Only kid without a fairy, Grandma's house, small house on outskirts of town) and is thrust into something much bigger. I think he is definitely humble.

He's obviously courageous. He has the triforce of Courage in most of the games.

He's helpful and patient. He listens to what people tell him and helps people when he can.

He's the ideal man, in my opinion. Strong, humble, courageous, helpful, patient, friendly, innocent.

I think what I like most about Link, specifically MM Link, is that he refuses to give up, even though everything is against him. The world constantly resets after 3 days and all his hard work is undone. Yet he still presses on and gives it his all. Even in the darkest of times, he remains innocent and courageous.

You know we've reached true equality when left handed is an option when making an mmo character.

  7. Iargely Iegendry liked a post in a topic by Chase in The Political Compass
The cultural questions I knew I would be in the middle, because I'm always in the middle in every single political test I take. I was libertarian as well in my politics class.

I've been telling people for years I'm not a conservative. People always seem to think I am, but no. I have some conservative views, sure, but I also have liberal ones. I'm more conservative when it comes to the family, respect, rank, etc. My family is very conservative. They always talk bad about black people and poor people (they often think blacks are the poor). It makes me angry.

I honestly just get tired of people (especially in my home town) saying that the poor are worthless and we shouldn't help them. "My tax dollars shouldn't go to their drugs!" Well, okay, that's a real Christian viewpoint you have there, man. So I'm pretty liberal on issues of the poor and standards of living. Everyone, gay, straight, black, white, man, woman, etc. should have abundant access to necessary things, such as food, clothing, shelter, etc. And, yes, those of us with more money should have to give more. A higher tax on the rich would help everyone but the only people who don't need economical help. The rich.

I think social issues such as abortion and gay marriage are not nearly as important as everyone seems to think. I think much more important issues are dealing with our national debt, dealing with the balance of powers between the president, congress, and the court, and giving everyone a decent standard of living.

I think minimum wage should be enough to live comfortably on, and I think businesses should be restricted from raising prices and the government should be restricted from raising taxes in response. If your business loses a bit of money to go toward making your employees' quality of lives better, good.

I can type with my left hand but saluting with the left hand would be disrespectful, while jacking off is not disrespectful at all.

Lol I don't have a party to go to. The whole day is a party for me! I'm going to dinner tonight with my parents and then later on maybe to a bar/club with my friends.

I can't seem to draw myself away from this website. I've tried for the last, what, 8 years now and have failed every time lol.

Stereotypes hurt us all. It's easy to see a loose opinion and assume a stereotypical view of a person, but that's unfair on the individual, in this case you. You're a good dude with your own opinions. Me telling you my opinion is just hitting against a brick wall, because you already have a good and reasonable idea of what you want and how to act. Discussion helps us understand each other. Debate is useless when neither person is a bad person who should be changed. Your way of thinking has a place in society, and so you're not an undesirable person, and so you don't really need to be combated. This discussion has been a good enriching experience for me. Are you going to your party yet.

Trying to purify your point of view to be extremely liberal is like saying a floor isn't clean because it's still got some dust or marks. It's clean enough, and trying to make people keep their floors as obsessively clean as I keep mine is unreasonable and unfair. You don't need to follow other peoples' standards because your own are good enough, and so you shouldn't be made to feel like you should.

I say 'I' and 'mine' just for the sake of the writing. I think I'm pretty level headed about my opinions and their importance. At least I'm getting there.

    Just to be completely clear,

I would never hurt a woman, let alone a wife. Mistreatment and abuse are things I despise. And if she ever wanted to leave, she's more than welcome to. I just want to provide for and protect my family. I want trust, and I want to feel needed. I don't think these things are too much to ask for, really.

I'm not a dictator. I like control, but I hate abuse of power. If I ever did marry, my wife would be at the forefront of my mind. Her happiness is just as important to me as my own. And if anyone thinks I would be the father/husband that sits on the couch with a beer while his wife does all the work, well, you don't know me very well.

    The short answer:
    I don't know, probably.

    The shortish answer:
It appears, based on scripture, that we are born into the same bodies we have now, just enhanced/perfected, if you take Jesus as our example. He still had the holes where the nails went through his hands and the hole where the spear pierced his side, but he was able to pass through walls and change his appearance. Now, I don't know if we'll be like Jesus in that respect or not, but it's reasonable to assume that we will have a similar body as he had after the resurrection. He could also physically interact with people and eat food.

Given Bioshock Infinite's ending, I don't see why Bioshock 2 wouldn't be considered canon.

I don't think Ken Levine, the creator of Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite, has even mentioned the second game at all. It was made by a different team, so he wasn't really involved. To my knowledge, though, there isn't anything in Bioshock 2 that contradicts either of the other games.

Basically, it's canon if you want it to be canon. Infinite opened up, er, infinite possibilities with sequels. So you won't have to worry about what is "canon" and what isn't. In the Bioshock universe, it's all canon.
