No puppying way you can aford that.

All though, with that much money to waste, spend some on a good, HDD. try 1TB.

actually I could, though i do not desire the 730x anymore i want to get something cheaper that will still be pretty good average days. So i've decided to get the XPS 630 here are the specs

Processor: cannot decide either a intel core 2 E8400 at 3.0Ghz or a quad core intel Q9550 at 2.83Ghz, I dont know because there may or may not be applications/games in the future that take advantage of 4 cores so getting a quad may be good/bad

RAM: 4GB 800mhz (later upgrade to 1066-1333mhz)

Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 4870

HDD: 500GB (will upgrade to 1TB if need)

OS: windows vista

total comes to $1,268 not including tax

Did you seriously make a thread to brag about your computer

seriously

you know no one here will give you any kind of a valuable feedback

Ok, seriously what the hells your problem? I didn't make this thread to "brag" about my soon to be computer, I made it to see if there is any better choices on computer hardware, and it does look like i've gotten some feedback though it may not be valuable i'm sure i'll get some more

Well if your building one here's my build at $1313, but if your buying already built then i dont know?

Cooler Master HAF gaming tower,

Amd Phenom II 3.1 ghz quad core processor

8gb 1066mhz ram,

2x 640gb HDD,

Saphire Ati Radeon HD 4850 x2 graphix card (much better than the 4870 single in my opinion for around the same price)

Gigabyte Mobo

2x LG DVD RW +/- lightscribe disk drives,

All in one mem card reader

650 watt power supply

Acer 19" lcd monitor, 900 x 1440 resolution

Logiteck wireless mouse, keyboard, and speakers

Then if you add windows visat 64 ultimate add around $180, (unless your a :pirate: , or xp ultimate 64 for around 80$)

Well that's my build, best I could come up with for under 1500, and beleive me I pondered for a long while, by the way it was the first computer I built and it took me around 2 hours, I love it!

Hope this helps,

Silent

What? Vista's a good OS. Or are you just someone who crosses it off their list because it's mainstream?

Yes it is good, he just thinks it's bad because of all the bad rep people have given it because of the problems that MAY happen. I have had it for a year and have had no problems.

No one I've met has had problems with it either. I prefer Mac overall, though. I do want a Vista for gaming, of course. Macs aren't too great on that front.

No, I'm the one who uses it (sadly) but uses Linux on every other comp.

I cross it off my list because:

Ubuntu desktop install

100 MHz CPU

128 MB RAM

1 GB HDD

Windows XP desktop install

300 MHz CPU

128 MB RAM

1.5 GB HDD

Windows Vista desktop install

1 GHz CPU

1 GB RAM

15 GB HDD (at least 40BG HDD in total)

1000 MHz per GHz (if you're decimal, if you're binary it's 1024)

1000 MB per GB (if you're decimal, if you're binary it's 1024)

That is TOTALLY minimum. It will run slower than my dead great grandmother.

Vista requires MOAR MOAR MOAR

When you buy vista:

" Windows Vista includes an array of

Just install Vista on your Mac. It'll run it faster than any Windows computer.

And I know you like things fast :zelda:

1) My Mac is fast enough as it is. It's fine.

2) Mac > Windows

3) *looks and Padraig's post*

4) My dad wouldn't let me anyways.
