I don't fear bees in general... If one were to come up, I'd probably run to the corner of my room in fear. Not because it is a bee, but because it is an insect. My room is close to a nearby bee's nest spot. It also has some cute raccoons living outside it. c: I gave them a piece of my honey bun one morning when I saw them. There was like a family of 3! My kitten was hissing at them though. o:

I'm too scared to even kill insects, I always need assistance. I'll usually try to set it back free outside, but I always call for help. Maybe a few weeks ago, I saw that there was this one spot on the wall moving over time. I thought it was a centipede, took a closer look. Sure enough, it was one. Oh Noes was witness to this little scene. It's been over a year since I've last seen one in this house. I ran out the room as I tried to come up with an invention to get it out. :c I was too scared to go near it without any way of assuring I didn't have to get TOO close to it. I called my sister in, she got a tissue and crushed it. It's remains were nowhere to be found though.

It wasn't long ago that I found out about those things. Man now I'm a little afraid to even think about going anywhere near Japan.

Those things are NOT natural.

That video was thrilling. I never knew such large hornets existed.

Hundreds of bees against 30 or so giant hornets? They never stood a chance.

"It wasn't even a battle, it was simply a massacre."

I'm terrified of bees. Large hornets even more so.

That's why pretty much throughout the Video the narrator guy talked about it being a massacre. God I'd hate to get stung by one of them ol' chaps.

According to Wikipedia, some guy described the sting as having a hot nail driven into your skin.

Aw, it can't be that bad...

Good God, were they tearing the bees in half with their jaws? Freaking terrifying! Ahh, and I had an fear of flying, stinging insects before, I may have a true phobia after seeing such demonic things.

Well, according to Wikipedia, some Japanese bees have an interesting natural defense. They will lure scouts into the hive, then swarm the scouts, entrapping them in a giant ball of bees. The bees then vibrate their wings, overheating and killing the hornet scouts before the rest of the colony is alerted.

You're all sissies.

Although, I think those hornets are on this list.

That list will more or less make you think twice about traveling outdoors.

At first, I thought the thread was about the Africanized Honey Bees.

At least the Bee's have one way of defending themselves from those monstorsities.

Dude, I'm afraid of any and all bees. Allergies are a real doggiepoo.
