Posted 11 Aug 2009 Well, at least for you in Texas it's a dry heat. Down here in the southeast, it's so darn humid that 90 degrees Fahrenheit feels like 90 degrees Celsius. Yes, I'm exaggerating a little, but it's humid, which makes hot even hotter. Also, I have mixed feelings about the start of school. Posted 11 Aug 2009 The temperature is usually high nineties, sometimes in the hundreds around here. Then a random thunderstorm blows in. We have a morning break before school starts and used to have a ten minute break after second period... not anymore. They added that time to other classes. School lets out at 3:21, maybe later. You have five minutes between classes to use the restroom and get to class. Teachers aren't supposed to let you out to use the restroom. Your time at lunch gets cut because junior high is usually still taking their sweet time while you line up outside in the sun waiting to get in to eat lunch, and then the lines are huge and it takes forever to get served.
