Posted 15 Sep 2007 Has anyone read the Star Wars novelizations? The ones for the original trilogy are pretty good. And about the Silmarillion, that book was confusing. I liked The Children of Hurin better

Posted 22 Jul 2009 I went to Half Price Books the other day and bought the following: To sail beyond the sunset - Heinlein (I stopped reading it. apparently this is an incest book?) The cat who walks through walls - Heinlein The memory of earth - orson scott card Assassin's Apprentice - Robin hobb Seventh Son - Orson Scott Card The eye of the world - Robert Jordan A fire upon the deep - Vernor Vinge A game of thrones - George R.R. Martin I didn't research any of these before hand so I don't know how good they will be yet... some of them sound really good from the synopsis and such and I like some of the authors' other books. Posted 22 Jul 2009 (edited) The eye of the world - Robert Jordan Yes. That is a good choice, but be warned. You will be absorbed into the series. On that note, Some favourites I have are: The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. Avalon and Lost Years of Merlin series by T.A. Barron The Inheritance series by Christopher Paolini The Lord of the Rings series and related books by J.R.R Tolkien (with some points by his son Christopher Tolkien) Edited 5 Aug 2009 by Chef Nonsense (see edit history)
Posted 22 Jul 2009 The Virtual War Chronolog. Best series ever. It's about this kid named Corgon who lives in a box in his mom/dad, Mendor. He has to fight in a war so he trains by playing virtual games to boost his tactics. He meets 2 people who breaks him out of his box to show him there's more to life than a box. So yeah it's good. There's like 4 or 5 books.
