Saha, obviously I understand that the art has two eyes. Most people do have two eyes. When we see the one-eyed sprite, we assume a second eye lies under the hair, we don't say, "Oh, I guess Link has one eye."

And I defy you to find me any other sprite where a second eye is distinctly shown from under a lock of hair.

Srsly, in my honest opinion, I think the eye-through-the-hair thing is a nice touch.

Showing only one eye isn't in Link's style. >(

I think it's quite clear that the eye is showing through the hair, not floating on top of it.

Well, I don't think it is. Also, I've tried blending the second eye with the hair; no such luck. With the second eye as it is, I really feel that it appears to be floating there. It cuts the hair in half. And it's not as simple as adding another eye, it would require a shift of his face. Having both eyes makes his face look sharper and thinner.

How about

Link has two eyes showing when he's happy, and one eye showing when he's hungry?

He can have three showing when he's sad, four when he's angry, and five when he's scared.
