I hate it when someone has a nickname for something pretty innocent and it seems racist.

For example, there's someone in my school who has the nickname 'Mogley' from the jungle book because he always climbs trees, it was only today that I noticed that it was kind of racist as he... well he's not 'black', but sort of a bit lighter than black, I don't know but it might be sort of hispanic skin colour but he's not hispanic so... anyway. That's why I thought it was kind of racist-ish.

But quite a lot of words are kind of racist if you look at them close enough.

I hate it when people say that the only people in the world that are capable of racism are white people. Racism is discrimination because of ethnicity, and is typically associated with stereotypes based on the color of skin. So the stereotypes "all white people are racist" or "all racists are white" are actually examples of racism, right? I've met a lot of people that think of those statements as true.

I'm lucky as there isn't any real racism in my school, the only fight between a white & black person I ever saw was because one was from Thurso and the other was from Wick. Pointless...

Yeah, my school (comm. arts) is quite diverse. The racism at Taft, however, is quite abundant. It seems like everybody hates everybody else. It makes me sad.
