Anyway, did you know that people use a block hanging on a rope as a pendulum to measure the speed of a projectile? They measure how high the block flies up, then use the equations for potential+kinetic energy and the theory of conservation of linear momentum.

I hope you know what that all means (no offense ), but it's in physics.
