It was just like any other day in Wolf Town, until the corpse of Order Wolf, Light Wolf, and Common Sense Wolf were found dead in the middle of town, clearly having been killed by the powers of Chaos and Darkness in the most Dark and Chaotic ways imaginable.
 
So, without the powers Order, Light, and Common Sense to help get through this, the Wolf Town decided the best course of action was Democracy! Good thing Democracy Wolf was still alive! If it weren't for him you would all be listening to Communist Wolf and although he means well, he is kind of a douche.

So a week ago or so I decided that I wanna go back to school for programing and art. I really wanna make Battle Critters a real game. I want to make a game thats for me. Something I'd love to play, and hopefully others will too. Obviously, it's a monster battling RPG. Something in between Pokemon and Digimon. And also something that focuses on community. One thing Pokemon does right is online battling, of course. But that doesn't satisfy me. Remember Dragon Quest 9? You didn't battle each other (though I'd deff make that a feature in BC) but instead you explored and battled together! That's wut I wanna do. A game thats fun to play alone but even funner to play together. God damn that's wut I really want. But lets talk about the Critters themselves for a second.
 
So the Critters aren’t humans or animals, but rather something in between. They represent ideas and concepts and animals and objects of our world, just like Pokemon and Digimon do. Basically they are based on things that I think are fun or interesting, which can be pretty much anything if you give it a face and super powers lol. The humans of the game world have limited understanding of the Critters but theories suggest that they may originate from a higher power, of some sort. Some characters take this in a religious sense, while others have a more scientific idea. The point is that the humans don’t really know. This concept will probably be explored in the game, but not as an immediate theme. More of an easter egg, theory puzzle kind of deal. Now, physically the Critters are separated into types, like pokemon. Also like Pokemon, each Critter can be either one or two types. I’m still working on this but I have a few ideas so far. There are two sub-types. Elemental, and Conceptual.
 
Elemental types are:
Fire
Water
Plant
Wind
Ground
Wind
Ice
Electric
and Metal
 
Elemental types are pretty straight forward, while Conceptual types, i feel, form the personality of the Critter. While it’s completely possible to be both Elemental types or both Conceptual types, I tend to find mixing the two subtypes to be the most fun.
 
Conceptual types are:
Poison
Fighting
Dark
Mind
Love
Light
Spooky
and possibly Mythical.
  
Ive been playing around with which type is strong against which, but I think I’ll save that for later, when I have a better idea of it.
 
Another thing I’m trying to play around with is split “evolution.” I want every critter to have two choice in it’s evolution. some will change based on stats, others on items, and some based on special events. It’s all about how you raise them. I love this because it creates an even further way to customize your play, beyond simple party line up.
 
Here is an example using the Rose Critters above. They are both fully matured Critters who stim from the same baby Critter. If you raise the baby to have high Strength stats, it’ll become Rumble Rose, the one on the right. Raise it with high Dexterity, and it’ll become Rumba Rose. If you aren’t paying attention to it’s stats, it’s evolution will be a surprise to you.
I have a lot more ideas, but i think i’ll save them for later. Thanks for reading this. <3

calling social justice activists (im assuming thats referring to highly liberal, womens rights, anti-racist, anti-transphobic, politically correct college age teenagers) extremists is another example of people taking a movement they don't fully agree with and homogenising it, lumping them in with the less numerous people of the same movement who are extreme in their views. this happens time and time again, but not just against SJAs, but against pretty much any fringe politcal movement. take - say - libertarians, who most of the time are just people with a political view. people who disagree with them (myself included), lump them in with conspiracy theorists, or crypto-fascists, or anarchists, or racists, etc etc. this nonsensical attitude towards people you dont agree with makes it far easier to discredit what they are saying. 
 
when i hear people talking about otherkin, transethnicity, transableism blah blah blah, i pretty much stop listening. i have no doubt that these people exist on tumblr, but they are widely rejected by the community at large. i dont feel the need to go into detail into why they are rejected (i will if you want me too), but they are very very much so on the fringe of the tumblr community. 
 
i do agree with some of his points, like that the contemporary post-modern attitude and reaction against modernist ideals about striving to be perfection - the nietzschean ubermensch (which I'm aware was around before modernism was a proper cultural movement but it was highly influential on modernist thinking) - has lead to a general attitude that we should accept being 'good enough'. this is evident with the fat acceptance movement, that claim that one should be allowed to be fat without being shamed, regardless of whether it's healthy or not. I don't fully identify with this. im not going to go into detail about why, as that is not the point of this post. 
 
while yes, the modernist attitude to perfection was certainly problematic - it rejected moral relativism, and went on to inspire hitler, who thought that the ubermensch wasn't actually an unattainable ideal for all humans, but something that only the aryans could achieve - i think the post-modern reaction simply goes too far. it's possible to strive to be something better than what you already are, and i dont see how doing so is bad.
 
 
he mocks people using trigger warnings, but i think that's just absurd. what does it matter to him if people who have been sexually assaulted dont want to see images or text that deal with it? while yes, i do agree that tumblr is an enormous echochamber hugbox, that's not really a valid criticism. for every site like tumblr, there is a site like /b/.
 
one thing, i think is really ignorant, is him whining that "nobody cares" about transmisogyny. well yeah, obviously he doesn't care, i'm almost certain he's a able straight white cis male. of course he doesn't have to care, it doesn't effect him, and statistically, probably nobody he knows. i've already gone over why i agree that body shaming in my opinion is a silly concept, but seriously, if you don't think transmisogyny is a thing, and something that needs to be fixed in our society then you're probably just a bad person.
 
this guy comes across as a early 20 something white herero cis dude whos education on the matter of social justice theory is out of context screencaps, and infopics he found on /b/. his outright missuse of basic terminology and insistance that PoC and trans people just stop complaining and deal with it means he is so privileged that to him, their problems aren't really "real" problems, just things that happen, and absolutely not an injustice. if he actually understood what he was talking about and presented some specific coherent argument instead of just ranting about how he thinks transmisogyny isnt a big deal and how much of a hugbox tumblr is, i'd take him serious.

It's a site that's mostly about wasting time, in my opinion. Not only that, but conceptually I think it's really shallow. Someone can be famous on tumblr for simply browsing enough photos and reblogging them. The site makes it so easy. You click a single button, and bam, you have reblogged something, people like what you reblog, you get a bunch of followers. For other social sites like Facebook, you have to type something or click an extra button. That's too much work to the average internet user, which is why tumblr's circulatory power is so astounding, which can be and often is, a horrible, horrible thing, especially when things circulate, and because of the whole fast-paced one-stop information influx that tumblr conceptually provides people, there's hardly any fact-checking. Just a simple click and ten more people are now more ignorant.
 
There's also the crowd of people that don't reblog, but repost things, which may or may not get more notes than the original creator of the picture, so it robs the creators of notoriety. The whole social justice culture that spawned in tumblr is something I don't really need to talk about. I guess extremely opinionated people can pop up anywhere, but again, circulatory power. The conversations that go on there more often than not have the same generic tumblr conversation feel where everyone's trying to be funny, maybe to get screenshotted and then reblogged.
 
But it's mostly that it's a site that feels like a waste of time for me. Scrolling through pictures that are interesting, most of which I won't remember next week, isn't the best use of my time. Maybe my comment seemed to rub you as me just being oh-so-stuck-up, but I have reasons for not browsing tumblr and thinking it's the most happening burger stand to hoopla at. So I'll say it again. My favorite thing about tumblr is that I don't have to be there, and I'm saying it right now, to you. At first it was just to make a comment in jest, but there's no more reason for you to tell me that I'm being stuck up for saying I don't go to tumblr than if I said I didn't go to 9gag or Reddit, or something.

Solution is to attach an electric collar to everyone who joins. If they don't do their actions/contribute, they get their heads blown off.

It's true, older members leave and come back fairly frequently. Sometimes it's because they get frustrated with something here, but more often it's simply that life gets busier and they start giving more attention to things like jobs, significant others, school, and things of the sort. It's really quite easy to fall away, for as great as this community is.
