  1. ((Wow, a lot has happened since I left. Just got back and it's like midnight, so I'm gonna wait 'til tomorrow to actuallly post anything worth reading.))

  2. Have you ever finally done what you set out to do, only to find that someone else had done so much more? You can't repair broken glass, you can only melt it down and start over. And even then, it'll never be what it was before. The same goes with fire. Once the flame has burnt out, it will never burn as brightly as it had before. You can keep fueling it, prolonging the inevitable, but in the end, reality overpowers your hopes and dreams, and you're left in an open field of darkness.

FIFTEEN HOURS. I sat for fifteen hours in front of them on a bus listening to my best friend charm his way into my ex's heart. This 'ex' of course I still have feelings for. It's torture. Pure, unjust, torture. There is nothing I can fathomably comprehend that would be, or could be in any way worse.

In other news, I bought a hat. And It's very nice.

  3. Eight-Bit, Phones cost money, I have no money, thus, no phone.

And Largely, no, my sarcasm was implied when I said "But Anywho, Seriously...".

  4. Well, just tryin' to find my place in this magical land of Hyrule.net, and so I figured the best way to do that was to fit in. To give in to peer pressure. To do what everyone else is doing simply because that's what it takes to be "Popular". But Anywho, seriously, I'm leaving for the weekend, goin' to West Edmonton mall, a far off place in the more Northern plains of Canada filled with polar bears, caribou, waterslides, and indoor theme parks. Farewell. I shall return to the forums on Wednesday.

  5. Can I just say, tommorow I'm leaving for Edmonton. Till Tuesday. So major inactivity on my part till then. Just throwin' that out there.

  6. "Nothing to do now but to find them," Vitus thought to himself while walking down a backstreet. But what were the chances of him idlely bumping into them? He'd have to ask around town, but if someone did know, why would they tell him? He was a dissapointment to Hylians, Gorons and Zoras could care less about what an oh-so-high-and-mighty Hylian has to say, and the Gerudo, well, they were Gerudo. But it didn't look like he had a choice. Turning into an alleyway, he almost ran right into one.

"Oh!" she yelped in surprise, "sorry sir," and with that she started walking away a little more briskly than you expect. Vitus called out after her, "Wait! Stop!" She froze. Then flinched as if expecting some sort of pain, but upon realizing there was none, she turned around. "Yes?" She said, almost too softly.

"Umm, yes, I was wondering if you could help me, you see there's this group of people I'm looking for who-" He was cut off in mid-sentence,

"Why would I tell you anything?" the Gerudo asked with a cool hiss, almost threateningly. "What reason could I possibly have for helping the pathetic likes of you?"

Vitus stepped back when he heard this, paused for a moment, then spoke, "I think we could help each other," He said, "you see, I happened to have stumbled upon eight rupees the other day which I have not yet decided what to spend them on."

    "Keep talking."

"You see," he repeated, "I'm trying to find this group of people, A Hylian, a Goron, and two Gerudos. Any help would be," he jingled the rupees in his pocket, "much appreciated."

The Gerudo burst into laughter, "Are you serious!?" she replied in between laughs, "You don't know what you're dealing with, kid. Keep your money, and take my advice," she suddenly stopped laughing. "DON'T get involved."

"Why? they can't be THAT bad, there's only four of them and-" he was cut off again.

"Trust me." Her voice was cold and abrupt, "You don't know what you're getting into."

    "I just want to know-"

"People say Linda, one of the two sisters, will tear your eyes out with her fingernails, and make you eat them."

    "Please, could you just tell-"

"The second sister, Linsii, will take a knife, cut out your stomach, and laugh as you bleed a terrible, long, painful death."

    "This really is-"

"The Goron, Sharidan, will rip both your arms off without even breaking a sweat."

    "Please just-"

And finally, Samuel, their Hylian leader, noones lived through the other three to know what he is capable of, but it is rumoured, he can tear the life away from anyone with a single glance."

Vitus looked at her with a sarcastic glare. "Where are they?" he demanded.

The woman sighed. "You'll die, but I don't see why that should matter to me anyway. Payment in advance please."

Vitus, clearly annoyed at how melodramatic the Gerudo was being, handed her the money.

"They're going back to Kakariko, they say that's where they keep the ones they kill."

Vitus just stared in disbelief. This lady was insane. She needed a doctor, desperately. But no matter the source, this was the only lead he had.

Vitus left without a word, hoping the maniac would do the same. That's when he realized, he had just given away all his money, and he hadn't eaten since yesterday. His stomach growled angrily. He'd need to get some food, before he left for Kakariko.

"'Kakariko'," he thought, "How convient. Oh, the bittersweet irony."

He turned out of the backstreets onto a main road, there were stalls set up everywhere, "But not one giving away any free food" he thought aloud. He realized what it was coming down to, he hated stealing, it was too risky and most of the stall vendors were about as bad off as he. But, as it was, he had no choice. He crept up to one of the stalls, this one selling vegtables. It was so crowded, he felt like everyones eyes were on him. But he knew better. And while the stall keeper was busy with a customer, he swiped some carrots and left in a hurry. But then, the dreadful call,

"Stop! Thief!" a guard yelled loudly. Vitus instinctively turned towards the yell, fully prepared to turn back and run. He looked around for any guards, he didn't see any, but he knew, somewhere in this crowd... He was sweating now turning every way he could think of, not sure of which way to run when suddenly,

"Got him!" a guard yelled as he tackled a man holding two jars of apparently stolen honey. Relief swept over Vitus like a cool breeze. He was safe, for now. he then left the scene as quickly as he could.

Almost at the gates of castle, he heard the news boy yelling, "Come and buy a paper! Read about the Zora who was visciously murded this morning."

Vitus stopped, had Xantu gone to the guards? How else would they know? He walked up to the boy and started reading the article, "Xantu, owner and manager of "Zora's Zealous Delivery Post" was found dead this morning, with his throat slit. Who do the guards suspect? A young employer of the Zora's, A nineteen year-old boy by the name of "Vitus". His whereabouts are currently unknown, but the guards are se-"

Vitus froze. He couldn't read anymore. Every muscle in his body, now tense. "Xantu," he thought miserably, "he must've taken his own life... but that means... suddenly, everyone was an enemy, every eye was on him, watching his every move. He was a criminal on the run now, it was just a matter of time before they locked him up. There was only one thing to do. He had to get away, at least until they gave up looking for him. And with that, he ran out the Castle Town gates, headed for Kakariko.

  7. Xbox is the devil's console. How dare you mention it on a Nintendo-based site!?

(and sorry, no idea how to help you, other than to tell you to just take it in and get some special person to fix it.)

  8. Vitus woke up the next morning refreshed and anxious, "Today is the day," he thought aloud. He gathered his things, including his axe, and as always, he heard the voices he was constantly trying to shut off, "find your sister...". He headed to work in a blissful mood. "Finally, a chance to get away from that fish thing," He thought.

He entered the door, like always, hearing the chimes and expecting to hear Xantu yelling that they were closed and to come back later. But something was wrong. There was silence, total and utter silence. Not even a dog barking outside. Vitus stepped toward the counter cautiously, as if something was going to jump out at him at any moment. The counter was clear, empty even. This was rare, but not unheard of. Where was Xantu? The creepy old fish was always here, doing anything from counting money to moving boxes in the back room. Vitus slowly and quietly took out his axe, carefully unbuckling it from his back, then holding it in a ready position. He reached to open the door to the supply room, behind the counter. He had occasionally caught glimses of the inside while Xantu was working in there, but he himself had never gone in. The handle was warm to touch, not too strange, being the lack of humidity and general warmth of building, but all the same, it felt weird too. He tenatively turned the handle, tightening the grip on the axe with the other hand. He held his breath and pushed it open.

Vitus almost jumped out of his skin when he saw something move in the dark space. There he saw Xantu, sitting alone in a pratically empty supply room, head in his hands. Vitus lowered his guard.

"What more do you want!?" Xantu suddenly burst out, "Are you going to kill me as well!? You'd be doing me a favor!"

Vitus' jaw dropped. He had never seen Xantu in such a broken state, nor thought it was even possible to put him into one. The distressed figure looked up, tears streaming down his face, or at least what looked like tears, it was always hard to tell with Zoras.

"Wha... what happened?" Vitus asked, positvely awe struck. After a few seconds, enough time to think he was ignoring or just didn't hear him, the fishman spoke.

"They took everything." he said said, clearly still subject to more tears. "My wife... my money... practically all my delivery's... everything." He sobbed some more, "They said I cheated them... I never cheated them..."

He made some unaudible sounds, a mixture of crying and mumbling. Vitus had never been more startled in his life, and was even starting to feel sorry for the... 'man'. "Ha. He had it coming." he thought to himself. But then, feeling an abnormal sense of sympathy as he watched the broken man, or maybe it was because he had just realized he was out of a job, again, he asked him, "Who? Who did this? Who are 'they'?"

"There were four of them," Xantu replied, ceasing himself from weeping, "A Hylian, a Goron, and two Gerudo. The Goron, he just broke down the door and..." Now he was crying again, "My wife, my wife was here and... and..." he sniffled a little, now sounding a little angered, "They killed her! The Hylian... he killed her and took her body!..." after a pause, he continued, "The Gerudo, they just ran in, grabbing anything they could, and loaded it up onto a cart outside... The Goron stuck mostly with the Hylian, who came up to me and told me next time I cheated him... he'd kill me too... I never cheated them though... I never cheated them..." His voice trailed off.

Deciding it was best to leave the man alone, he leaft the store, now unsure of what to make of the situation. His first instinct was to go to the guards, but stopped himself upon realizing that Xantu probably wasn't on very good terms with them, being his reputation for dealing with less than reputable people. And besides, he had his father's axe, and when he was younger, he even let him try it out a few times. Heck, he was pratically an expert. He could take them. He laughed outloud at himelf, somewhat at how stupid he was being, but more out of fear.

"Whatever", he thought, "I still have to find these guys, they have my pay somewhere in all the loot they took. It was either find them, or find another job." This was something he was NOT prepared to do.

  9. Kimmy... you have truly opened my eyes with your last statement there. It's just like multiplication, only backwards!

  10. Really? Not in the U.S.? I thought Obama legalized it. I don't know, it's legal in Canada. At least, British Columbia. I think.

  11. A war? No. War is bad. A protest maybe, but not a war. And besides, homosexuals have been granted equal rights to those who are heterosexual. There's nothing to have a war about. All you can really do is wait for gays to be socially accepted by the general population.

  12. Hey there, mind if I join in?

    Name: Vitus

    Gender: Male

    Age: 19

    Race: Hylian

Appearance: About 6'0, roughly 180 lbs, Muscular build, Pale complextion, Clean facial features, Very dark brown medium length hair. Wears a casual white undershirt covered by an elegant formal blue shirt which is torn and worn out, with fading colour. There is a dark leather strap that forms a diagonal line accross his chest, Holding a medium-large axe on his back. He wears plain brown leather pants, held up by a just as plain black belt. Attached to the belt is a holster for his dagger. On his feet are common traveler boots.

Weapons: A large axe strapped to his back, left to him by his father, who lived and died a knight of hyrule. Also a small dagger about the length of his hand that he carries in a pouch on his belt.

Personality: Vitus has a very calm disposition and is not easily threatened or provoked. When he speaks, which is not often, he chooses his words carefully, putting much meaning behind each one. All his decisions are based on what he sees as logical, he doesn't differentiate between good or evil, and focuses more on the risk/reward ratio. Although he may sometimes go against his own logic as he is merciful to even his worst foes.

    Home: Currently Homeless

Bio: Born and raised an only child and farmboy, his life took a turn for the worse when bandits invaded and burned his home in Ordon to the ground, killing both his parents. His fathers dying words still echo in his ears: "Find your sister". Since then he has found himself broke, hungry and living on the streets of castle town, often being ridiculed for being "a black spot on the Hylean race". He finds work wherever he can, and despite his positive outlook and physical ability, he finds it extremely difficult to hold a job. He currently works at 'Zora's Zealous Delivery Post'. Although unknown to Vitus, a delivery company that often deals with black market goods.

    =============================

'Finally,' Vitus thought to himself, thoroughly worn out. 'Last delivery finished, now I can collect my pay and get some sleep. I swear I thought that last box I delivered had something moving in it.'

He approached the door to his employer's workplace and walked in, like every other day, ignoring the "closed" sign. Chimes rang as he walked in.

"Can't you see we're closed?" He heard Xanta, a tall abnoxious zora call out. Xanta had his back turned to Vitus, doing what appeared to be sorting some things out on some shelves. He turned briskly to face Vitus, with an arrogant, almost threatening look on his face.

"Oh, it's just you," he said, quickly shoving a small and recatangular box into a nearby drawer. "Your pay's on the counter, take it and leave."

Vitus took the bag, then frowned, "There are only eight rupees in here, you promised me twelve."

"Be glad you get any, you pathetic human worm. Now go, before I decide not to pay you anything."

"I'm sorry sir, thank you sir."

Vitus left the tradepost grudgingly, heading "home". He was quickly developing a sense of hatred towards that ugly fish thing.

Vitus ducked into a couple alleyways, avoiding the spots where regular crimes would take place. Finally, he made it home. Or at least what he called home, a couple posts and blankets set up in a dark alleyway filled with the stench gerudos and gorons. the first thing he did was check his axe, which he kept hidden and locked in a chest while he wasn't traveling. As he unlocked the chest, he heard his father's words, "find your sister... find your sister..." As always, he ignored them, after all, even if he had a sister, which he found very hard to believe, she'd probably be dead, and it's not like he had any hints as to where to look, either.

After seeing that the axe was still there, he closed and locked the chest, rehiding it under some old pieces of cloth and clothing. He'd need it for his big delivery tomorrow, he had to take an unknown crate to Kakariko, all the way through Hyrule Field! He was as anxious as he was excited. This was the first time leaving Castle Town in at least a year, and he had never been to Kakariko before. As he slowly drifted off to sleep, he thought about all the recent bandit activity and increase in monsters he'd heard about lately. He clutched his dagger and fell asleep.
