Yeah, the Dark Souls podcast is officially recorded. Me Nabe and muffin got together and talked about our favorite aspects of the games, speculated on the sequel, and in the spirit of halloween, if you listen closely, you might hear a ghost or two...

You're probably talking about Forbidden Memories. I've actually watched quite a lot of the game being played. Mostly speedruns, though, and it's hilarious. The whole strategy they use is to just build a deck entirely composed of cards that fuse into the card Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon. Their turn comes and they'll literally just try to fuse all monster cards in hand and they'll almost always get the dragon. It's hilarious because the game will refill your entire hand, so it gets them more cards to either fuse into more dragons or get Magic or Trap cards that get them out of tough spots.

The old cards look really dated
The newer cards look like bad dA fan art.
 
But the manga was cool

I'd like to get most of these done soon, within the next couple weeks to a month. I suppose we could do them in two stages. But they'll go quick, because we're not all in them, and so there won't be big scheduling issues. Tig is also in FE, so maybe ask him not to spoil the ending?

I like the ice cream Pokémon. It was on my team in that game. I don't like Pokémon with multiple heads, though. But I got over it. Anytime there are Pokémon that are based off of inanimate things or man-made objects, I tell myself that the object was inspired by the Pokémon. Liiiike, maybe humans wear boxing gloves as an homage to Hitmonchan, for example. Or maybe ice cream cones were designed after Vanillite. It makes a lot of sense to me. For some things, however, I can't help but have my suspension of disbelief broken.

I mean Gurdurr probably wasn't using steel girders in ancient times, but I can tell myself that he used something else.

I really don't understand everyone's hate for the ice cream pokemon. Like I get it if you don't care for it, but everyone flipped their shit on that design and I just don't get it. Do people just not like ice cream at all???
