  1. Ha my child will rise, just you wait. There will be a time when YLA is be plastered on walls and... lol there needs to be a female involved in a child who am I kidding. I'll just immortal.

  2. So I was at work and thought, "Wow my 7 year anniversary is coming up at Hyrule.net." Which blew my mind of how much I've grown up in the past 7 years. How much everyone has. We all grew together in a way, through good times and bad. However if I'm not here for my 7 year anniversary, which if I not I better have a good excuse not to, I want to say this.

I know we had our rough times in the past, but I thought you should all know this. I love you all.  When I'm gone, I really miss this place, but alas things happen and my life is so full of stress that I often forget to come back. When I say all I mean all. That includes LL and Phanta. And even you, Sahaqiel. Even though we had a bunch of rough passes on a certain *clear throat* week that may or may not be remembered, but yes.

This is not a good bye, not by any means. It's just a reminder that if I'm ever gone, I never stop thinking about this place and I never stop thinking about my original internet family. :)

Now that the incredibly cheesy stuff is out of the way, how are you all?

  3. YLA, are you Jon Snow's mother?

    (someone get this)

    I don't get it... xD

Postgrads are people who have already graduated High School.

    I know they are.

Yeah YLA. Your prom system is really weird. I've never heard if a prom like that.

Is it? I thought all proms were like that. It's been that way for as long as I've known prom. It's the same way with Homecoming too. Though I think once you're past 21 you can't get in.

  4. Wait you guys are forced to take post graduates to prom? That's really weird. I knew seniors who took sophomores to prom!

I can see seniors only but postgrads? That is really unusual.

    Where are you from again?

What do you guys mean? I mean it's a junior/senior thing. Freshman and Sophomores can't go unless invited by a junior/senior. However, juniors/seniors can bring post-graduates and students from other districts. You have to fill out a form and it's very convoluted and totally not worth the $50 for a ticket.

  5. I hope you don't regret not going to prom when you're like 40 years old. Brawl is good though, and there can be no wrong in spending a day on that.

I've still got my exam to do for Psychology, which is the one academic thing I've been doing this year. As the year went on I cared less and less about doing it, because it was just something to fill in part of my week, and a subject I wanted to try out. Didn't take me long to decide that I wouldn't want to take it further, but I enjoyed learning about it while I did it. But now it's the run up to the exam I find myself struggling to find the motivation to study. I don't even care about passing this class; that was never really why I took it. I just wanted the knowledge for what it was, and I don't need the qualification for anything else I want to do in the future. I've already got what I want out of it.

But I'll give the exam the best go I can muster up. I'll take it as a personal challenge/test of character/character building exercise to try and succeed at something I don't particularly care about. Try and find a way to deal with stress without flat out ignoring it, or dropping the stressor altogether by dropping the class. Might as well build my character on something less important than the challenges I'll eventually face in later life.

    Also, jokes

Well I wasn't invited to prom. That's why I didn't go. High schoolers have to take post graduates to prom and giving my history no one would want to take me anyway. Though, before I go I have to go to my grandmother for Mother's Day.

  6. Woo I'm on Summer break! Though I'm still not free. Tomorrow is prom and even though I'm not going, somehow I'm being forced to go to dinner with 6 other people. I'm the unnecessary seventh wheel. Though to make up for it, on Saturday me and three friends are playing Brawl all day. :D

    Anyway hi guys.

  7. So who here remembers the game Shaq Fu? You know the old fighting game about Shaquille O'Neal? Weeeeeell, he's raising money for a sequel.

    http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/wireStory/shaq-seeking-funding-shaq-fu-video-game-22796810

I don't know much about Shaq Fu, but I do remember hearing that it was perceived as a terrible game and Shaq knows this. He pretty much said it was awful. He just wants to redeem himself by getting the game a sequel. xD

  8. for 3DS- I hear Bravery Default is really great, also Pokemon X/Y.

DS- The old FF remakes are great, especially FF3.

If you had a PS3, i'd recommend Ni No Kuni, but oh well.

I always forget that Pokemon is an RPG for some reason. But yeah I already have that. I can look into the DS FF though.

for 3DS RPGs, I'd recommend the Etrian Odyssey games (IV and Untold: Millennium Girl), which I like a lot. Also, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Shin Megami Tensei IV, and Bravely Default are great too

And if you want to play Chrono Trigger (you should), it was released for the DS some time ago, so if you can find that then you're good

I tried the demo for Etrian Odyssey and I don't like the menu thing. Like where you have to navigate through a bunch of menu's. Also I tried the Bravely Default demo, but I honestly couldn't get into that. As for, FE:A I played Fire Emblem for the GBA, the one with Lyn and Eliwood. I also played the demo for FE:A, which ended on a cliff hanger so I actually want to play that really bad. Also I'll look for Chrono Trigger on the DS. Though, I still have no money. :(

Also I don't know if it was intentional, but I just realized Eliwood is kind of a way of saying Elijah Wood, who play Frodo in Lord of the Rings. Holy crap.

I forgot to mention. While I was gone for a long time I watch a whole lot of movies to catch up. I watched the Indiana Jones trilogy, I watched the LoTR trilogy, I saw Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and I saw Wizard of Oz. I saw many more, but that's just some highlights.

  9. Well I'm broke so i might try Dragon Nest. That sounds awesome.

I have an Xbox 360, which I know I want Magna Carta for it. A Wii U, Wii, N64, NES, GameCube, which I guess could count with my Wii. I also have a 3DS and a DSi.

Though of course, like I said I'm broke so I can't really afford games right now. :(

Also one game I want to get if it's ever on Virtual console for the Wii U or 3DS, is Chrono Trigger. I've heard it's an amazing game and it's a game that I have surprisingly have not been spoiled by for all these years.

  10. I want to get into rpg's, I really do, but really they can't hold my attention long enough. Really the Mother/Earthbound series kept my interest solely because of Smash Bros. The only rpg I got close to beating was Final Fantasy XIII. I love that game to death, but I accidently went a head to the next cutscene before finishing the cei'th missions so I think I screwed myself out of beating the game. I mean I could try, but I'd be really underleveled, plus there are skills you learn from doing enough of them that I didn't get. I tried to go back, but there's one flaw, all the markers disapear so I'd have to run around aimlessly to find them. Maybe someday I'll replay FFXIII and beat it, but because Final Fantasy is so linear, and because I have all these powered up characters, it's really hard to restart.

As for MMORPG's, I've tried to play a few, but really, they couldn't hold my interest either. I tried Runescape, but 10 minutes after creating my account, they said it was deleted due to inactivity, which was utter bs, by the way. Then I tried a Legend of Zelda themed MMO... Most people were level 100 and it had a flaw where players could attack any player after level 20. Meaning that people would just come up, kill you, and steal all your crap for no reason. My friend did show me a really fun one called Tibia. I played it with her for a month, but after she stopped playing it I soon lost interest too.

Really no MMO's can hold my interest and I'm not sure why.

  11. Oh. I thought that one was a knock off. Besides the fact I didn't notice the large "Nintendo" across the top until now, I've just heard people complain about the 3 sides, when really it's more comfortable than the knock off, but whatever I guess. I will say that you're right and the Gamecube controller is superior to the rest.

Of course I feel the best feeling controller of all is the Xbox 360 controller. It just feels right on the hands and all the buttons are easily reachable without it feeling too awkward. The only thing preventing the GC controller from the number one spot is the X and Y buttons. I know where they are, but they still feel awkward at time.

  12. *in b4 "whrere hav yu beeen?"*

Yeah i hooked up my ps3 controller to my computer to play N64 emulations recently. 64 was pretty great but that original controller was ew in retrospect. Which is why Gamecube is the current champ of all systems in my mind.

If you mean me, I actually came back a month ago... I think it was month Idk.

I do agree with the controller. I have to use the gray one with 3... I don't even know what to call those things... uh 3 ends because I don't like the feel of the one ended ones... You know what picture time!

    I use this:

    N64-controller-white.jpg

    I can't use this:

    http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-64-Wired-Controller/dp/B002J44BXW/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1394485526&sr=8-8&keywords=N64+controller

I couldn't find an image for that one.

Anyway, the only games I found that I want to play for it is Gex 64, Mario Party 2 and 3 because, as much as I love the first one, it's not worth losing my hand over control stick spinning, Mario Kart 64, and Pokemon Puzzle League. I found Super Mario 64 DS, but I played that game to death. This is why I need more games lol.

  13. Well I'm starting to out grow adult-oriented humor because I'm honestly starting to not like Family Guy that much either. I just watch it and hope I get a laugh. Some times it works and sometimes it doesn't.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqz_4OgMi7M

I saw this old Monty Python skit and I laughed more at this than I have while watching Family Guy. So I don't know...

  14. Yesterday I hooked up my N64. I've been playing soooo much Mario Party 3. I want to play Banjo-Kazooie, but can't find it. :( Maybe I'll buy some games for it. It still works like I bought it yesterday.

  15. Honestly, I can't stand a lot of the new cartoons. I've tried watching Adventure Time and The Regular Show, but they really bore me. Then there's everything on Nick that's really unbearable to watch now too. Maybe I'm just getting older though.

Really, the only cartoons I watch are The Simpsons and Family Guy. Though some days, when I'm really bored, I'll watch Tom and Jerry on Cartoon Network.

  16. THis is basically where I've been. At first I hated the idea and wasn't following it, but then it all changed when I saw how much progress was made. It's almost like some kind of magic. I mean when I first heard about it I thought they would never finish, but here they are playing Pokemon Crystal.

  17. It's been a pleasure, LL. Even thoughI haven't been on for a while, I'll still miss ya.

  18. Less important than UFO's?

UFO's are probably the greatest threat to our known world. I wouldn't take those lightly.

  19. You say that now, but just wait until you're sailing the seven seas and a giant squid comes surfaces and tears your boat to shreads. Then you'll get eaten or drown after falling into the water... How grim.

  20. wow where have you even been man :o

College, my friend's house, and various other places on the internet. Like YouTube. My new years resolution was to get my YT channel up and going strong so I've been doing that.

  21. If I ever saw a giant squid I'd probably run away. Then I would I would ask myself why a giant squid was in my house. Finally, I'd question why I thought mushrooms were a good idea because if it resulted in a giant squid coming from no where, I would conclude that it probably wasn't the best idea.

  22. I know. I was already planning for it this year so it didn't sneak up like this year. I had my cosplay all figured out and everything. Now getting a new job is going to screw me out of it. Maybe I could ask for the time off in advance...

  23. Holy crap

    Where have you been.

    Nowhere... and everywhere.

So I'm starting college in a week. I also need a new job. I have Fridays-Sunday's off. So I need a weekend job. Which means I may not be able to go to Ohayocon this year. T_T My friend told me that a few days ago and I freaked out.

  24. Man I was just sitting here replaying Earthbound on the Virutual Console and, as much as I hate to beat a dead horse, I found an item in a box. This item... was handbag strap and its description reads, and quote: "When used as a whip during battle, the enemy takes enough bamage to stop moving for a short time. Gone after one use." This game is trolling me too guys.
