I want to say, with all the happy stuff and all the awesome stuff, there was something that stood out for me.

The door.
The door that shows your greatest fear. Not the kind of fear like spiders or giving a speech in front of a big class. No sir.
This door shows the kind of fear that can only come from being disowned by a loved one, whether they be friend, family, or even mentor. It's not real, of course. You see, you stand there seeing what the door wants you to see until someone comes along to break you out of your trance. But what if no one ever comes? You could just be standing there, slowly dying of starvation, with your last moments in life in a personalized hell that doesn't exist, but you don't know that. You think it's real.

And I find that truly terrifying.

I want you all to take a look at this oshawott I found.



This oshawott is getting hit in the head.

Every time it gets hit, it stops to look up at you. "Why are you hitting me like this? Why would you do this?" Its eyes, pleading for reason. Anything to let it know what it's done to deserve this. And it doesn't get any explanation, or mercy, or anything. It just keeps getting hit in the head, over and over, forever.

It will never know happiness. It will never know love. It cannot even join the ranks of the dead who can know peace from this evil. Because for as long as computers compute, this oshawott is going to be hit in the head.

Okay so here's an update of that thing I was working on in my free time, I worked on it for seven or eight hours yesterday.



Deviantart is having a contest for illustrators where winners get free classes at KCAI, so I'm going to enter this thing and see if I can go spend four weeks chilling with soap at her apartment while having art parties every night.

Anyways, I would love to learn how to screentone and shit because I feel like that would cut down on a lot of the time it takes to draw one of these pages.

Those are supposed to be veins coming down the legs on the inside side of the doe's front legs. They have really big prominent veins there. I might have to get rid of them, though, because they look so weird.

The doe looks like it's squinting, but it's not supposed to look like that. They just have big dark eyes. I need to figure out a way to fix that.

When it's finished I'll do a proper scan so I can submit it to the contest properly. And then I'll upload that high quality scan here.
