I was more talking about the video, shadow. But yeah, telling them is better than hiding it.

Tell them you're not ready. A confirmation is a religious coming of age (think Jewish bar mitzvah) ceremony that makes you an adult in the eyes of the church. Just tell them you are not ready to come of age and you have some thinking to do about what you want.

There's also taking away scouts which is also fairly orientated around religion, specifically those about god.

I don't like boy scouts, since they are very discrimitive. I was in it.

Just tell them already. The suspense is killing me.

I live in an athiest family, and I still get Christmas, foo. They won't kick you out of the house. Trust me :)

Good luck with that. Though I doubt anything bad will happen.

It's not a big deal. It's personal, and they'll probably respect it.

So I told them.

They said "Why don't you believe? Is it that you don't see him in your daily life? Or do you not believe he exists?"

Then I got a phone call and had to leave.

No anger.

This is going better than I had hoped.

I'm glad you got to tell your parents, any updates on how it's going there?

I don't like boy scouts, since they are very discrimitive. I was in it.

I was in it too, never had any problems in my council with discrimination, where were you? What happened?
