How about a conker's bad fur day movie? or banjo kazooie but give them real voices not the sounds they make on the game.

Here is the Animal Crossing Movie Trailer

And you all know that there is a World of Warcraft movie in Production

I am strangely interested by this. I heard about the WoW movie awhile ago, are they still working on it?

A Kirby movie directed by Tim Burton.

Super Mario bros. by M. Night Shyamalan anyone? Johnny Depp could be Waluigi.

Nice job bumping the topic. It's a good topic, though.

Prince of Persia did okay. Probably one of the better video game-based movies I've seen, even though some of the acting was really wooden. Some of the Resident Evil movies are okay, I guess, and I enjoyed Final Fantasy: Advent Children. I'm also looking forward to the Professor Layton animated movie, which I think will be really cool.

There are so many things that can go wrong with movies based on video games, especially anything with a silent protagonist. It works for a game where the player is the one interacting with the NPCs and environment, but with a movie you usually need a protagonist with ehough depth that you can identify with and who can have compelling dialogue with other characters.

I think that's why Prince of Persia actually worked: it wasn't a sole, silent protagonist, but two characters with distinct personalities who would actually talk to one another throughout the game and built a rapport. I know the movie had nothing to do with the Sands of Time game, but they had enough character and story elements to base off the game to make a cohesive film.
