I feel like we already knew what Mega Beedrill was gonna look like. There's only so many ways a "mega" bee guy can look. But yeah, I hope he has more moves than Twineedle and puppying Bug Bite and stuff.

I feel like Pidgeot is a Dragonball Z character.

 

Not because I don't like the design, just how the thing that changes in the Pidgey family for every evolution is the hair.

Mega Salamence looks silly, but I'm not sure I would call it overdesigned

I don't judge the mega guys based on how "tight" they look. They all are supposed to look cool or whatever. I judge them knowing that they're all 100% afterthoughts. I judge them based on how inconspicuously or seamlessly they are afterthoughts.

Honestly, I think Mega Slowbro is the most believable mega there is atm. Could have happened in first gen. I like it, though in practicality terms it might just be the worst.

 

Though for most of the rest, as Nabeshin puts it, it's as if they hired junior artists to redesign old Pokemon. And in my opinion, they did so badly...

Flying looked cool. I hope it doesn't take away from the exploration factor of the games. That was my favorite part of Hoenn. Flying makes Hoenn seem so small. But whatever, I will probably get the get now after this trailer.

Although idk they may have made Glalie slightly less ugly.
