Posted 7 Dec 2008 Ok so I was bored in my typing class yesterday so I decided to look in google. I typed in name meanings just for the heck of it, and found a web site called Name-Meanings.com. Of course I wanted to know what my name ment, and see what other's names meant. I have proof this is accuate. There's this kid in my school named Mark, and I typed his name in the bar thing, and it came out as the word rebellious, and this kid breaks ever rule there is, and really is rebellious. Then I tried the other kid next to me, Dennis, and came out wild, frenzied, and he is wild. Mine how ever make some sence, and I'll tell you what my name means here in a second, but I'll give you the website now. Right here. My name means Immortal, and if everyone thinks that makes sence because they claim no matter how much they beat me up, and out of all the broken bones, and blood loss, I never seem to die. You don't have to say what your real name is, but just if you want to I guess.
Posted 7 Dec 2008 (edited) Yar, when I looked up what my name was (I had to do this for a school project) it said my name meant "Victory" or something like that, then, when I looked up what my birth stone was it came up as bloodstone. (which actually makes since in a way) Then when I looked up my name on that sight it said that it has no meaning. Posted 7 Dec 2008 What the hell. My name means "Word of God". This DOES NOT make sense in any way, as I'm a non-believer. WTF.
Posted 7 Dec 2008 (edited) Sounds like a lot of people here, myself included, have names with a hebrew origin. My name means "Remembrance Of The Lord." Hebrew names tend to have Jewish themes. That's kinda obvious, though. I searched my friend Peter's name. Evidently Peter means "A Rock." Edited 7 Dec 2008 by shadowknight (see edit history)
Posted 7 Dec 2008 My name means Bright Fame. Nice one. My name's Robbie, but I had to look up Robert.
Posted 7 Dec 2008 Ha ha. I looked around a bit. Guess what Jackson means? Son of Jack. How stupid is that? Seriously?
Posted 7 Dec 2008 Yeah, but I didn't think it would be so painfully obvious. I'm going to look for more stupid meanings to names...

Posted 7 Dec 2008 These things aren't always fitting...me, for example. Hannah means "graceful", in the European languages. And the Japanese variant of my name, Hana, means "flower." I am no graceful flower. I am a tomboyish nerd with big feet.
