Dogs are a type of lion duh

Starting to set myself a drawing quota. Today it's 10 dogs and 10 people. I've drawn 6 so far, but I'll try to respect my new regime and finish what I set myself to do today. Here are some dogs. My people drawings are all done but I'm less happy with them because they're pretty standard. So are these, but they're dogs, so.
 

Breakthrough numero uno: puppy the default photoshop brush. I didn't know changing the brush would make photoshop so much more tolerable to use. I think it was the permanence or wholeness of the lines that put me off, even when I decrease the opacity. Naturalistic looks are more my pace right now.
Now I can doodle.
 



 
 
For whatever reason I just plain avoided being studious before. As if it should just come to me, or I should be able to conjure the ability from within myself to draw things that I know I recognise. In reality recognition isn't the same as knowing an object, so studying really is the only way. Taking the time to memorise and develop understanding of things. So yeah, I'm doing studies now. Starting like this:
 




From here I'm thinking maybe I'll study artistic styles, after I'm confident I'm on a good track with studying facial structure. Build up a couple elements necessary before I can actually have fun, thus making practice a little more painless.

 
MS Paint is more relaxing to use. Maybe just because mistakes and imperfections are harder to detect.
It feels much better for sketching. Anything I sketch in photoshop feels like shit, because the program allows you to be capable of better, maybe. I dunno. I just prefer Paint.

I really love martial-arts based characters, such as monks and brawlers and the like. I'm best when I play melee type characters, but tanking usually isn't my thing. Too much buffing involved, which is definitely important to the group, i'm just not so great at it. So melee DPS classes are what I love to play as. Come at me, bro. Who wants a kick in the face? 
 
Although in Guild Wars 2, the Mesmar was my favorite to play because it was so unique from any other class I've ever played in any game. Pull out my sword. Put down some magic hazards. Place a portal or two. Send some suicide clones in. BAM! Shatter into a million purple butterflies. Yeah, that's how I role. Hahaha.

I think it'd be fun to play Pokémon contests together. Can you do that online?

While I can't personally play TF2 (and most likely Spiral Knights as well, as fun as that game is) due to PC limitations, you could always suggest those games in the potential thread! Also, Pikmin 3 is great. Do yourself a favor and take some time off to play it. It's probably my favorite Wii U game. The multiplayer is great too, but it's only local.

I'm intrigued. I know that some people do play games on this site with each other, but having an organized thread for planning it out could allow for a lot more opportunities.

I pick my class based on the game in question. Combat systems really change how fun a class is.

Like, I wanted a King Dedede amiibo. I looked on Amazon for one, and was just like "oh, I guess I don't want it" after seeing it for $45. 

The rarity/scarcity factor is kinda cool. But also, like, grown men are hoarding these and trying to profit off of them and leaving very little for kids.

Yeah I got a Marth amiibo at launch and apparently that is just a gold mine i am sitting on

They are releasing Animal Crossing amiibo cards in the fall, which are like, houses of characters. Its a mini game in trading card form! But so far, thats as close as your idea has come. But yeah, cool idea!

Oh yeah, it's my Nephew's Birthday and I got him the Luigi Amiibo from the Super Mario set. He loves playing his Wii U and Luigi is his favorite character! He was in awe of my Toon Link and Bowser amiibo when i should him how they can interact with you in games! hope he like it. 

 
I feel like this is the ultimate end goal of Amiibos, as well as Skylanders and Disney infinity. Basically the ability to scan things into 3d space, and then have them as a player or avatar. Its definitely a step in the right direction

 
Been eyeing this original GBA that has been sitting in the storeroom of this charity shop I work at. I asked how much they'd charge for it, and they said that I could just have it for free. I do work voluntarily after all, so you sometimes get perks like this. Got it with a few games.
 
There was always something desirable about an original GBA to me. It was my first technology barrier, before PS2 or PS3, or DS or 3DS. My first very own console was a GBC, and seeing this new one come out bewildered me. I still remember a dream I had where I desperately wanted Pokemon Ruby, and was overjoyed when I found out they did a port for GBC as well, so that I wouldn't have to save up for a GBA. When I eventually got one, it was an SP not long after they came out. I was satisfied, but wanting a GBA for so long, and having the original model as the object of my desires, left an impression on me, and I saw this GBA as a kind of lost dream. 

Yeah I think you just want it to be more risky than it is. And it's not as if the story doesn't make sense without your version of "filling in the gaps". In fact, ALL things considered (both canon and in relation to real life/Cartoon Network/Word of God/etc), your ideas would be the most far-fetched. I mean if it's between the established canon and your theory, established canon just makes more sense.
 
The show is intended to be positive. Super pro-feminist, if nothing else. And while it realistically depicts the characters' flaws, as far as a cartoon like this can, I don't think they'd even want to go as far as to say Greg had sex with a doppelganger of his late wife + Amethyst is a SUPER sexual deviant. Just doesn't fit...
 
fun fact though, X-Men did almost this exact same scenario a while back. Cyclops was having sex with Jean Grey when, all of a sudden, Jean walks in on them having sex. Turns out, Emma Frost, a very powerful psychic, manipulated Cyclops' mind to think he was puppying Jean, when actually he was sharing his bed with her (Emma).

Pretty puppyed up. But then again, so is X-Men. Really can't say the same about SU.

To put it another way, I think Amethyst would me more likely to take out her anger on Greg by tormenting him than she would cope with her sadness by having sex with him while shapeshifted as Rose. You were probably just thinking about the "I've seen your junk" joke too much

Yeah. I mean I can see how it would be viewed that way, but so far as greg cheating on rose with amethyst? I mean if anything while I was watching that episode I thought maybe it was going to be something more like greg and amethyst getting together after steven was born, and the episode would talk about one parent trying to date again after their so dies. I mean I haven't seen you mention the theory itself anywhere in this thread, but I'm assuming that's what you're getting at. Greg does not strike me as the type to cheat. Them just being friends makes a lot more sense.

Plus, I doubt Cartoon Network would outwardly deny a fact like that for PR reasons. It seems much more to me like they'd just explore it more in the SU comics, like what they did with princess bubblegum and marceline the vampire queen being lesbians, so they could still have it be canon without bothering parents. If the series creators come out and explicitly say "they were just friends," then that's that.
