It was just implied to me that you failed at being impatient if you said you "tried". It was a misunderstanding. The way you changed his name at the time just seemed to me that you were raging at him, but I guess now that's just you being passively aggressive or something rather than angry.
I just felt like he wouldn't have been laughing irl as much if you hadn't renamed him like that. If you'd put it back I feel like he would have been less amused. He might have thought he was just joking around, but he really was just trying to get under your skin, like trolls tend to, and the renaming proved that he achieved that. I don't like what he was doing, and I didn't find him funny. Again, not arguing for his sake. I would have had a problem if it was anyone. Unfunny and immature choice of punishment, though I admit punishment was due. You gave him something else to laugh about, and that's what I didn't like.
Repeat:
His goal was to get under your skin. When you changed his name, to him, it proved that he did manage that. You did in fact bend over for the trolls. You gave them the reaction they wanted. Though I guess now maybe you didn't react the way he wanted in reality, but by the way you acted on the forum, he thought you did.
I feel like I didn't make my point well enough yesterday, so there it is. I hope you get what I'm trying to say now. It's just a little criticism, not really a huge deal. It's just frustrating that you think I'm trying to get him unbanned or something. I might be his friend, but I agree with the reason for what you did, and I don't agree with him.
Have I repeated that last point enough yet. The last point is all I really care about anymore, since I don't think there's any way you'll see it my way, and I'm not that insistent on making you change. I just want to put forward my own view for the sake of debate. Opinions should be shared, but I wont force mine on you.

you guys seem to think that im anti charity and think that we should do nothing to save the world. this isn't true, i'm not. i'm critisizing the military action that invisible children advocates, and i am saying that that invisible children are not the best charity, and other charities should have the dosh. so instead of whipping out the inspirational quotes, why not actually read my arguments

Peace in central africa will not be catalyzed by bringing in a squidding army, contrary to popular belief. Its like the situation in iraq, where yes, there was a bad guy, but there was absolutely no need for the US to wave their military wang around and intervene. if the US gets involved, things will escalate. Like I said earlier, the solution is humanitarian not military.

Basically IC want to arm and supply the Ugandan army, which is notorious for rape, pillage and setting up prostitution rings. They're no better than the LRA, to be honest. And plus, the LRA are in DRC now, and if Uganda stepped on the toes of the DRC, there would be a big ass war. The last time Uganda was in a war with the DRC, the deadliest war since WWII was started. So yeah, maybe that isn't a very good idea.
Yeah, awareness is good, but not when you're spreading missinformation, which is what IC are doing. The numbers are exagerated and it provides the situation in a very black and white way, that we need to march our army into Uganda, shoot the baddies, then go home. This is NOT how to achieve peace, by initiating another war.
Sure, some action is better than no action, but IC support unrealistic military solutions to a humanitarian problem. IC are fundamentally good, but they're short sighted and the charity money would be better spent on a charity that provides aid, not funding an army that commits equal crimes to the LRA.
