I'll continue this later (tomorrow); I'm too tired now.
Though if he existed forever, then what was he doing before he created the universe?
-
But he can't just have always existed.
-
Well there is the Big Bounce Theory, which states that the Universe has expanded and contracted for a very long part, but that doesn't have a starting point that we can see.
If there is a God, I don't see how he can just be. He can't create himself; it defies all logic. And even if he can create things from nothing, he can't create himself from nothing if he wasn't even there to create himself in the first place. It makes no sense. No, the starting point has to be something else. What, I have no idea. But I am sure it was not God.
-
Or not? What you just said isn't true. Because, regardless if God was created to explain things or not, removing God just leaves things unexplained, thus getting us nowhere.
Not true; by removing him, what becomes unexplained is not actually unexplained; much can be explained by science, such as how we came to be, which would be evolution and such.
Please give me an example of something that stays unexplained.
-
God was created to explain things, as with all myths and legends. The problem with God is that people still don't realize that he is a myth/legend and nothing more.
-
Scientists are very arrogant, and think that what they find or know is correct, but that is not true. For example, scientists knew the world was flat. Were they right? I don't think so. Newton thought he knew how gravity worked. Was he right? Heck, even Einstein could turn out to be wrong once we have more advanced technology.
Oh, and here's an interesting tidbit: Einstein believed in God.

My second character:
Name: Xevin
Gender: Male
Age: In the 20’s
Race: ??? (Not an unknown race; it's just that his race cannot be figured out since he covered himself with a cloak)
Appearance: Wears a black cloak completely covering himself (including face. He also wears black boots and black gauntlets), so that his age, race, appearance, and such are unknown. Wears light but strong armor underneath the cloak. Also, he’s 6ft 4in tall.
Weapons: Two black gauntlets, a huge black sword with several deep-black onyx gems along [both sides of] the blade and two large ones on the hilt (one on each side), and twin black long swords.
Personality: Cold and calculating, he will do anything to survive and get what he wants, be it manipulation, thievery, torture, or murder. He also finds amusement in the pain of others.
Home: No home.
Bio: Unknown (shall be revealed later, for if I revealed it now, it would spoil EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!).
And don't worry - none of the weapons are enchanted or have special powers this time.

((OK then, how should I join in and where? Hm...I guess I'll just start in Hyrule Field.))
"GAAAHHH!!!" the bulbin screamed as it was slain in two by Adam's sword. Adam looked around and saw no more enemies; the group of three bublins were now very dead. Adam wiped the blood off his sword and onto one of his "cleaning cloths". Sheathing his sword, he then checked the bodies for anything useful. He found on one of them a small bag of 59 rupees and a short sword, a broken bow and some old arrows on another, and a worn dagger and a short sword on the first one he killed. Adam took out a bag of rupees and dumped the newly acquired rupees into his bag and then dumped everything else into a sack he was carrying on his back. Adam then shrugged the sack off and started to stretch. "A long day," he murmured to himself as he began to sit down to stretch his legs. When he finished the stretches he does after every battle, he rose and picked his sack up. Throwing it onto his back, he slipped his arms into the makeshift straps attached to it. He then scanned the horizon. He was just about to turn to the East when he caught something out of the corner of his eye: smoke, rising into the sky from the north. "I wonder what's that?" he thought to himself. "It must be Castle Town. Hm...Ah well. Those people can take care of themselves." With that, Adam turned towards the path leading to Kakariko Village and started walking once again.

That's great!

I do not see why you, Lionheart and Stormsworder, are taking this so seriously. First of all, it's a joke. Second of all, are you saying God doesn't want us making harmless little jokes now? Why the hell would he care about a simple, tiny, little, harmless joke like this? Does it even hurt him in any way? NO! Does it do any harm at all? NO!! Does it even do anything? NO!!! He is seeming more and more like a tyrant to me everyday. A tyrant who wants His way and only His way. Yes, he's your everyday HITLER, except more powerful and more aggravating.
If you don't like this, then IGNORE it. You want to complain? Then do what Teto told me, and complain in the Rants and Raves [or Serious] forum. For us, this is a humorous joke. Stop taking all the fun out of it and go preach your close-minded beliefs elsewhere!
-
((So...Is my character approved or not?
@Teto: I just wanted a hammer that my character could hold, without my charcter having to be super strong or the hammer be a tiny regular hammer. Not a super strong one or anything like that. Just a light one. But whatever; I'm over it now.))
Reply:((Good to know. And if you wanted him to be able to weild it, you should have made him stong enough, adding details such as an age at which he would have been able to gain sufficient strength to do so and then forming a backstory so that it all makes sense. There's a way around your problems, so just find out how.))

It's a serious joke.

((Damn...I really wanted a hammer...Oh well, I'll just have to get rid of it, I suppose.))
Well, here it is:
Name: Adam
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Race: Hylian-Sheikah mix (He doesn't know that he is a mix, though; he thinks that he's just Hylian)
Appearance: 6ft, dark brown (with a hint of blond) hair, yellowish-green eyes, three black shirts, and dark blue pants.
Weapons: A long sword with a sapphire-studded hilt.
Personality: Loyal, friendly, and kind. Almost always willing to give a helping hand. Though he is very standoffish if he doesn’t know someone, and can seem hard, distant, even cold from uncommon time to uncommon time. Adam also is very intelligent and knows how to manipulate people if he must.
Home: In a small hut near Castle Town.
Bio: Adam was born to Gregory and Anna 10 years after his older brother, Vixen, was born. Unfortunately, Anna died while giving birth to Adam. Since then, Gregory has blamed Adam for her death and turned to alcohol (if they even have that in Zelda; if not, fermented milk does the trick), and beats Adam weekly, with both fists and leather belts. For 12 years after Adam’s birth, Vixen has taken care of him, and taught him many things, including how to defend himself and manipulate people for a living [since they were very poor and their father did nothing but drink and such]. On Adam’s 14th birthday, his father was more drunk than usual and started to rant and rave, while holding a very large butcher knife. Gregory lunged at Adam, but Vixen pushed him out of the way, taking the hit to his left eye. The father then dropped the knife, temporarily horrified, and mumbled some stuff about it being Vixen’s fault he (Gregory) had just hurt him (Vixen), and started to beat him (Vixen). Adam stared on in shock, and shakily took the abandoned butcher knife and slowly crept up to Gregory. Adam then slowly stood up and slipped, jamming the knife into his back and right through the spaces in his bones and into the heart. Vixen, who had still loved their father despite everything, just sat there, then got up and slowly turned to walk out the door. Adam, who was now crying, crawled to Vixen and grabbed his right leg. Vixen stopped abruptly and put his right hand to his forehead. He then lifted his left leg and bashed Adam’s head, causing him to reel backwards and fall heavily back to the floor, his head thudding loudly, now unconscious. Vixen stared at Adam, shocked, then ran out the door, never to be seen by Adam again. Adam spent the next two years living in that small hut near Castle Town, and when he couldn’t stand the place holding 16 years of bad memories, packed up his stuff and left. For 2 years, he braved the wilderness…
Is this good? Bad? ???

It is! I'm a descendant of Alexander McNutt, born 1656.
Amazing that it goes that far back!

4.5/5 Makes me laugh (since it reminds me of that "Ganondorf Returns" video).

Hm. Mine was created when I was trying to think of a good name to use for Halo 2 for Xbox Live (this was back in 2004). I kept thinking and thinking, staring at the golden elite that was me, and it just appeared out of nowhere: Vadarth. I cannot remember if I was thinking of Star Wars at the time.
Now I always use "Vadarth" or variations of it, like "Vadarth X".
And you may be wondering why I used "Vadarth X"? Well, I messed up with the first profile I created, so "Vadarth" became taken, and I always liked the letter "X".

Thank you. Hm. I actually didn't think of that.
Thought - That may explain it, though I doubt it. It is unexplained at this moment in time, but will most definitely be explained in the future, just like many other things were and will be.
Besides, does God explain how we think or/and how thought works?
Goodnight.
