  1. I hate being hungry and not being able to get food. I'm waiting for the parents to get home.

Also, I hate boyfriends who are randomly jerks.

    Cirt: Don't text and drive..

Boyf: I'm at a red light, dumbass.

    ...ow. :(

  2. My senior picture. I edited a little, the original was waaaaaaaaaaaaay too bright.

Also, unfortunately, my blue eyes were lost in the process. :/

  3. "Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo." is a grammatically correct sentence used as an example of how homonyms and homophones can be used to create complicated constructs. It has been discussed in literature since 1972 when the sentence was used by William J. Rapaport, an associate professor at the University at Buffalo.

The sentence is unpunctuated and uses three different readings of the word "buffalo". In order of their first use, these are

Marking each "buffalo" with its use as shown above gives

Buffaloa buffalon Buffaloa buffalon buffalov buffalov Buffaloa buffalon. Thus, the sentence when parsed reads as a description of the pecking order in the social hierarchy of buffaloes living in Buffalo:

[Those] (Buffalo buffalo) [whom] (Buffalo buffalo) buffalo, buffalo (Buffalo buffalo).[Those] buffalo(es) from Buffalo [that are intimidated by] buffalo(es) from Buffalo intimidate buffalo(es) from Buffalo.Bison from Buffalo, New York, who are intimidated by other bison intheir community also happen to intimidate other bison in theircommunity.THE buffalo FROM Buffalo WHO ARE buffaloed BY buffalo FROM Buffalo ALSO buffalo THE buffalo FROM Buffalo.

    This is so awesome. Bahahahaha.

    Also,

James while John had had had had had had had had had had had a better effect on the teacher.

James, while John had had "had", had had "had had"; "had had" had had a better effect on the teacher.

That that is is that that is not is not is that it it is

That that is, is. That that is not, is not. Is that it? It is.

    Cool eh? :)

  4. so theres a thread for raves now?

    There has been, Pheenz.

It's just not pinned and it was submerged under the many topics of rants.

Which a mod should do something about, ahem ahem. :)

  5. I feel like my blood is running cold right now o_____o

That is pretty freaky. Crazy how just music can make you feel like that, eh?

  6. Hmm. I see where Lionheart is coming from. Would it be possible to change the order of the tabs, so that Zelda News would be seen first?

  7. Went to school from 7:30-2:10, went to swim from 3:30 to 7...now I'm off to go study for an Anatomy test, Spanish IV test, take notes for AP Gov, and do free response for AP Calc.

    Yay senior year :tired:

  8. Cirt, you have the widest jaw I've ever seen on a woman.

    It's not bad.

    Um, thanks? :/

I didn't think it was that bad..

Edit: I just realized how dumb that sounded. What I meant was, I didn't think it was that distinct. ><

  9. Ho ho ho hold on, Cirt. Since when have you been a male? Don't pull a Vio/Noes...

Anyway, keep it the same. I-wait. You're a Hyrule Sage with only 120 posts? How?

DDx Oh my gosh, I noticed that earlier. I am a female, prooomise - *points to recently posted pictures on Post Yourself thread* I don't know how to fix my profile. It is rather amusing though :>

Also, I'm on chat, a lawt, and I promote stuff that needs to be done around here while we continue to fall through the black hole of fail anyway.

    ...that was rather melodramatic.

But it's more chat participation rather than forum for me. :)

Edit: I just fixed the gender thing, all good now! ♥

  10. Hmm. I haven't posted myself in a while. I have some cool pictures though :)

So one day, I was bored, and I decided to do some cool makeup on my face. I drew this sun goddess makeup over my eye (the lighting kinda faded the intensity of the makeup in the shots, I'm afraid) and took some pictures. My eyes look super green here xD They're actually blue-ish.

    Materials used:

    Black eyeliner

Gold, white, indigo, and jade green eyeshadows

    Lots of bronzer

This one I'm sort of smiling, it looked weird when I actually showed my teeth with this makeup:

    AGH green eyes!:

    Different angle, almost...serious?:

    And my favorite:

And this is what I look like on a normal day, for those who don't know. This was at a college visit.

  11. Somewhat inspired by Arcanelord's (now known as Arcane...?) topic, I have been reminded of a point that I had forgotten some time ago.

My display name has no pronunciation. And it bothers me. No one knows if it's "keert," or "kurt," or "seert"... Not even myself. :/ And I don't know if I should change it to my alter nick on the chat, "Casper."

Though I'm not sure how, a select few on the forms (Teto, for example) are able to transcend from display name to display name without any trouble or confusion - I think. I mean, I could have been terribly wrong for quite a while. I tend to second guess myself.

Anyway, change to the more pronounceable (and perhaps more generic) Casper? Or no? Opinions welcome.

  12. Thanks for the support, guys. I knew I wasn't alone, but still. Blargh.

Magatama, I'm like you. I love English and literature, and I love Spanish as well. I definitely want to become fluent in Spanish in the future. I also love music as well (though I don't play any anymore) and I'm no artist, but I love working with graphics.

I have thought about being a graphic designer or a web designer, but...I don't know. I don't want to say it's not "up to my standards" (my parents have high expectations, you see, they want me to go into the medical field) but I just don't think I could live off of something like that, especially if I turn out to be only mediocre at it. Who knows, I might have a knack that I haven't discovered yet. I certainly hope so :/

Or maybe something in foreign relations? That would be cool too. But I would never be as good as the people that are already fluent in 409385 languages, y'know? I really try to live my life along the lines of a certain quote: "Whatever you are, be a good one."

  13. So, the end of high school. There's like all this psyche about being a senior, getting ready for college, no more dumb stuff, etc., etc., but holy crap. It's also intimidating at the same time. The real world, you know? Well, almost anyways.

Anyways, here I am, a-filling out college applications and doing the pointless stuff like my name, birthday, high school, whatever, and then I get to the part that makes my blood run cold.

    Majors.

Some people have it easy. Some just know what they want to be, or have that awesome talent that they know they can put into good use and dance and live happily ever after. Which is great, I mean, I'm not hating on these kids, but dang, they have it easy. What about the rest of us? The typical suburban kid who really isn't anything out of the ordinary? I'm seventeen, for heaven's sake, and you people *glares at Collegeboard and whoever makes up the 'man' here* are making me decide when I don't even know what and I-I-I... slfjsdkljfsodfjsd;lf I'm still a kid, really. And now a cap and gown is being forced upon my head and I'm not ready to wear them.

It makes me sad, it really does. I'm stressed because of classes, trying to enjoy my senior year, doing these darn applications, trying to eat and sleep in between, and I'm expected to know what I want to do for the rest of my life so I can maybe spare my parents the pain of spending an extra year of tuition at college because I didn't figure it out in the first place?

Yes, I'm well aware of the whole 'undecided' option in the application process. But let's get real people, you and I both know very well that colleges like kids who know what they want to do in life and have wonderful goals. Meanwhile, I am running around in a frenzy trying to figure out what the hell I've been up to for the last 17 years.

I'm not asking for advice, I've already gotten a handful of it and it's more or less the same repeated response. Well, Kelsey, what do you like to do? What do you enjoy? What did you like to do as a kid? What, what, what?

    I DON'T KNOW ANYMORE.

    I JUST DON'T KNOW.

I'm tired and just want to go back being a little kid again and never have to worry about growing up .___.

...and that is my rant. :x
