  1. Yeah, I don't like the way you were rallying against me, but considering it more objectively, there's not really anything very strong against you. Sometimes you have to vote off of stuff like peoples' mannerisms though. But I'm leaning toward a non-vote at the moment. Just waiting until this chat is over before I switch my vote, because I feel like the vote switch just serves to signal the change for everyone else who hasn't yet talked.

I'm in a secret conversation. From the way things were panning out I felt like everybody would be in one, but I guess I was wrong. There are a lot of identity related aspects of this game, naturally, but I guess a labyrinth of personal connections isn't as big a part of this game as I thought. Or else the channels just haven't opened up yet, as I had to manually open up my own chat.

  2. I get the feeling everybody is vaguely suspicious. Can we start deciding on how we're voting now? I am going to throw the idea of abstaining out there for now. What do we think about abstaining?

  3. Jesus the text editor on mobile is absolutely atrocious. It just swaps and changes words around with no understandable reason. Anyway.

I really don't want to get into my role. I'll say that it makes sense considering Jaime's position in the Kingsguard. I already feel like I've demonstrated my worth to town enough, and I'd rather not get too much into my role right now. I'm already getting pretty close to giving it all away.

On another note, Chase, are you Stannis? Or are you prematurely acting like Jon Snow? The only people whose 'duty' it would be to behead rapers and pillagers would be Edmure Tully (in lieu of his sickly father), Stannis Baratheon, Tywin Lannister, and Walder Frey. Walder Frey is an old guy and I doubt he'd kill people himself. Tywin is a Lannister, and besides that he would probably have a headsman do his killing for him. Edmure Tully I don't know about, but assuming Linox is right about Edmure being an NPC, then I don't even have to reason that one out. We know Eddard Stark does his own executions, and I get the sense that Stannis would be similarly inclined. He doesn't seem like the kind of guy to keep a headsman anyway. And then the Lannister thing there, and Stannis's doubts about the royal bloodline. I can't remember how much you know about GoT, but I reckon you know enough to be able to know the implications of what you're saying. The Tully's don't really have much of an animosity toward the Lannisters that I'm aware of, and the Frey's aren't either.

Where underlined are known, to me, or I feel like I can accurately guess. Cirt made hints that she was Littlefinger aka Petyr, Chase made hints that he was Stannis. Neither of those are certain though. Italicised are characters whom I reckon are, or have been said to be, NPCs. Scored out are the dead'uns.

And as a disclaimer, this isn't a throw off. I have more to talk about, because I'm still looking into clues in the text. All the more now that it's going south for me (going south. get it? because starks go south. and they are starks). Keep questioning me if you like. Any line of questioning will be met with the same resistance, because I'm just not prepared to risk my role getting out. At this rate, if I survive the day, I want to ensure my safety with an immunity, so Jaime Lannister.

But ehhhh. I guess revealing my full role would help me get through the day alive. But I'm gunning for survival with sheer diplomacy for now. Worth a shot.

Also, happy birthday Knuckle! I hope I'm not rallying against you unjustly!

  4. Yeah, that was a misconception by Cirt made a couple pages ago. She'd assumed Knuckle was confirmed as town because an identity was revealed at the end of day 1, but it was actually the case that at the end of Day 1, Roose Bolton, who Knuckle voted for, was killed. He demanded a trial by combat and succeeded, and Roose Bolton was killed instead and revealed as a Town-aligned NPC.

So I guess looking back again, was it just a coincidence that Roose Bolton was the one killed when Knuckle was put up for trial by combat? Or was it maybe just part of his role to make clear his enemy in trial by combat first? How did the trial by combat thing work, and how did it relate to Roose Bolton, Knuckle? Was this a wild coincidence you never accounted for, or were you just lying about Roose Bolton being a joke suggestion?

Also, I had a double take at some details. Knuckle claimed to have given T1G his keys. Linox said that an NPC visited T1G. T1G said that Guy Targaryen gave him some leftovers. So then, assuming this is all the truth, Guy Targaryen would be an NPC? Unless there's a third person who interacted with T1G last night.

  5. The joke is Roose Bolton is a terrible person and lots of people want him dead. I don't mean to give you a hard time for not getting that (and who knows, maybe I'm just making a bad joke) but this seems like a stalling tactic to shift the heat around from one person to another and distract us.

No, your post was obviously a joke. I just wanted to see what your answer was, and the whole body of your response is aggressive enough to make me suspicious of you. I'm shifting heat around because there aren't any convincing leads to follow. That to me seems obvious. Linox didn't make a conving wolf, nor T1G, or whoever else I made a case against, and so naturally I keep looking for more leads.

And who knows, from our point of view maybe you werent entirely joking, and there was some context to your opening joke which shone light on you. It wasnt entirely transparent so that was a question worth asking. I don't know why you have such an aversion to people asking you questions and looking for leads, but it's enough for me to make a decision. I feel like I'm the only person who gives a damn here. Knuckle

My first instinct on who is or isn't posting is that, in recent posts, Chase, Cirt, and Knuckle aren't doing a lot? Or at least I feel like they could be doing more. That said, they've also been around.

If we're not going to have any proper discussion going on I don't see how we can reach a rational decision about who to kill. Chase would make a good inactivity lynch, but considering he's away right now he might actually have the most potential for activity on his return, because everyone else here is pretty disconnected from this game by the looks of it. We're all due to be lynched for inactivity at this rate. If anything we should be voting for the least aggressive posters out of us who actually do post. We need to be aggressive to make anything happen. Chase could be a good player and so I don't think we should write him off when none of us are being particularly good players either.

I don't know why Knuckle made the joke to kill Roose Bolton. Any context on that, Knuckle? (and yes I am using votes as heat at this point and I realise I've now voted for like 3 or 4 people in this day phase)

  7. I think it's because that dude Milo, aka Ryan who was on here a while ago for not long, died in Texas a week ago. And then a couple days ago there was a day where 1. I was talking to online friends about Milo; 2. I was talking to my irl friend whose best friend died that day; 3. everyone at work was going to a funeral for a regular; 4. work got a call to tell them that another close client had died that morning. Tragedy opens up your eyes to more tragedy, and I thought it somehow fitting that, having saved a seagull from a bin on the 23rd, I found one dead on the side of the road on my way home. Milo was also hit by a car. I have the melodrama sense of someone who's never had to suffer any consistent tragedy in their life.

I've probably dreamt of Cascade because I know her irl, but otherwise I'm not sure. I've been here long enough now that it'd make sense if I'd had more of other members. I've been here for close to 1/3rd of my life after all.

Joined on my 15th birthday. Entirely by coincidence though, since my original account ANGEL TEETH was made sometime in July. This current account was his 'brother' hahahaha. That's basic stuff.

  8. Not as good a concept as World War Blue.

"A re-imagining of the console wars, the series tells the story of two kingdoms, the Segua Kingdom and Ninteldo Empire, locked in a struggle for dominance over the land of Consume. After years of war, the Segua Kingdom is on the defensive until a kid named Gear appears boasting of his incredible speed."

Gear is Sonic, clearly. At the beginning, Tial, Gear's best friend, and representative of Tails, dies. They also have characters for Mother, Kirby, Samus, Link, Fox McLoud, etc etc etc. Tejirov (Tetris) is a mercenary, and he makes lots of sex jokes, as reference to inserting pieces into spaces. I can respect the author's creativity.

  9. TP was the only Zelda game I really got hyped for. Coinciding with the release of the Wiivolution, I got my copy the day before my preordered console arrived in my store. I spent months beforehand marvelling at any details, and when the game came out it's basically everything I had wanted it to be, and it was on this new console I'd looked forward to getting for so long. You could cut grass while running, it was a revolution in game design.

  10. Is it also a bit fishy that T1G would be in correspondence with a Targaryen? I find that more of an engaging reason for suspicion than pheo (who I just suspect as self defense).

  11. Ah, an NPC handed T1G his keys then? Since it's an NPC, do you forsee any danger in revealing who this NPC was?

Even if T1G isn't in chat cahoots with Knuckle, I still stand by my idea that this game has a lot of private chatrooms, if only because it sounds like a great fit for this game.

  12. Second screen comes across as being a lot harder than the first. I didn't play much of Skyward Sword, but I got the impression that it was a very soft game aesthetically, whereas Zelda WiiU looks like it'll be a lot sharper and harder, with deeper tones. I'm too lazy to verify this by checking videos though, and instead thinking back to my memories of it.

I think the darker tones of colour is more true to the top down games, particularly the colour palette of Link Between Worlds. I'd like to see a 3D zelda with that kind of tone and colour. OoT and MM are the closest. TP is dark, but it's more grey, while OoT/MM have more saturated colours. SS and WW are both very bright and soft. Maybe this WiiU one will have a good medium, between harder graphics of TP, colours and tone of OoT/MM, and looser feel of cel shaded graphics?

    /talking out of my arse

  13. Yeah, and if we pried into pheo's "can't talk about my findings" reply, maybe he would come across just as fishy. Pheo's the one prying into my business and not willing to give up any info on his own. And Ammonsa was quick to take up the suggestion of dividing up the rota for the sake of claiming.

When she did that, I complied. I told her I was a Lannister boy. When Pheo continued his line of questioning on my poorly phrased reply (self indulgent use of the word 'gleaned' because I wanted to sound fancy), I gave up some info. I'm trying to be as transparent here as I can get, without straight up revealing my identity or role.

Pheo also phrased his accusation as "Teto, who hasn't actually mentioned anything about his night". When, really, I did. My claim to having found nothing of immediate use was true. Pheo talked as if I'd said nothing at all; as if I'd been silent. I'm one of the most outspoken people here alongside Pheo.

Knuckle and T1G are supposedly in some kind of cahoots in this game. I'm starting to feel like this is a game of alliances, and that a major mechanic of this game is potentially the use of many private chatrooms. I say this because I'm Jaime Lannister, and last night I used my night action to open a chatroom with who is supposedly Cersei Lannister. For their sake I won't say which player I opened a chatroom with. Because I believe that Lannisters are more likely not to be wolves in this game, I trust that Cersei is town, or indy, and so if she was to come under fire later on, I would have then come forward with this argument as her defense. Looks like out of the two of us though, I'm the one in danger.

I think Brodongo designed this game around betrayal and alliances, and a genius way to do that would be to have lots of roles linked to one another in chatrooms. So assuming Knuckle and T1G really do have a dialogue, then the fact I have one with Cersei is more evidence for this theory as to the game mechanics. The best way to spot wolves in this game is by trying to detect alliances through peoples' behaviour in the thread. Naturally paranoia would spread if everyone seemed to have biases towards different people.

But all of this reasoning (about the chatrooms) doesn't help me decide who I would vote for. Most of me says Pheo, for not really recognising that I did in fact say something. Part of me also says Knuckle, but only because I always wonder "what if?" when we don't manage to meet a lynch requirement.

  14. There are no Targaryens in King's Landing in S1 or Book 1/2 to my knowledge. And there is literally no "Guy" Targaryen in GoT lore.

It could be Viserys. Brodongo always talks about some Dothraki invasion, as if a passing joke, but maybe the plot of this game is literally an alternate timeline where Khaal Drogo immediately pays his debt (not that the Dothraki understand purchase and debt) to Viserys, and goes to war with Westeros. Waiting for someone to off the highborns within, and then the horde makes their move?

It's not a big spoiler that Khaal Drogo doesn't go to war with Westeros immediately at the beginning of the series. They go east to the Dothraki sea (of grass) at first.

  15. Right, okay. I just wanted you to address my question.

So, I'm going to immunity vote for Tywin Lannister. He'd have a good role. Tywin himself is a master strategist, so I imagine his role would have something like the watcher role; accurately identifying the actions of others on some level (maybe written off as predicting their actions). Although it'd be a relevant and interesting twist if his watcher role had the unseen flaw of him inaccurately predicting the actions of other Lannisters, since he doesn't seem to be fully aware or conscious of what his own family is up to (maybe a bad character analysis though).

  16. It's a bit of a melancholy song, at least with what I get out of it. He's happy that he hasn't experienced heavy hardships, and never had to pray or wish for luck or whatever. But he's lamenting the fact that his friends were in bad situations, and is sad that they had to face it. He also thinks he might be a coward for being afraid not of being in a bad spot, but of what he might find out about himself if he does land in a bad spot.

At least, that's the impression that I get.

What I mean to say is I love this song.

I'm still loving this song. I'm gonna spend some time listening to TMMB and other third wave ska bands, like Reel Big Fish and stuff. Then I might go back to 2 Tone ska, and whatever other waves, and then reggae, etc etc. The more genres I explore, the more interested I am in the evolution of music.

The subject The Impression That I Get is nice and clear. I forgot how straightforward lyrics can be while listening to acts which purposefully shroud the meaning in riddles and vague references, to add a layer of mystery to their songs. Vague lyrics make more sense when they allow for a greater scope of interpretations, but sometimes they just make it difficult to solve the puzzle instead. I like solving the puzzles, but at least there's always stuff which gives it to you straight. I can appreciate the simple way this song delivers it's message, and it's a good one.

I think it's pretty natural of people who've experienced little real tragedy in their lives, to want to have a taste. To feel that they've been challenged, and to feel that they deserve the respect of others because of it. It seems selfish and ignorant to envy the unfortunate, but people want to have that journey of self discovery.

  17. Cirt is probably Littlefinger then. Who else would be considered a complementing character to Varys?

Pheo: It only occurred to me looking back how vague my statement was. I guess my sentiments mirrored your own; I don't have anything immediately  useful. I have a clue at someone's identity, but it's not conclusive, and if it was I don't know how much we could take from it considering the conspiracy against the crown doesn't have any obvious source or motivation yet. I think it's more likely I'd use this info in defense of someone's innocence, rather than to prove their guilt, although that could change if the plot happens to incriminate them later on.

Back to my question to T1G: What's up with the keys? I know you needed them, but what are they meant to unlock? My first instinct is to remember that in the books, Tyrion kept Shae in a house in the city to protect her. Otherwise I can't remember any specific houses in King's Landing.

I WAS GONE FOR THE FIRST DAY OKAY I KIND OF MISSED SOME DETAILS

In that case, go back and check up on peoples' semi role-claims. More food for thought.

  18. I'm embarrassed by my rant lmao.

@LL I was really intrigued by the book The Tombs of Atuan by Ursula K Le Guin which is set mainly in an unlit underground labyrinth that, due to it's sacred history, has remained in absolute darkness for untold time. It struck me that this is the kind of movie book that would be impossible to adapt for the screen effectively, and it's definitely a story which only really works in writing. But it did get me wondering how you would go about trying to animate it at least. I think it'd be an interesting experience to go to some dark cairn, which I could probably find in Scotland, and hang out for a few hours. Somewhere very old, very dark, and made of stone.

I come up with these ideas for art-related outings, but they're all things which I feel may be better left to when I feel more competent. The only one that I feel I could do and properly make use of the experience is my idea to go to IKEA for a whole day and draw a load of their display models.

I don't know how common IKEA is for you, but theyre just these very large sprawling furniture stores which take a couple hours to have a proper look through.
