The reasons I read it are waaaaaaaaaay different from why you think I read it. Mostly it's "Shit I've run out of the actual series and I want more adorable interactions between these two peeps and I don't really mind if they screw in the middle a bit" I also posted a list of things forever ago of the cuter BL one-shots and such, so it's not really secret anymore??? @Chase I think whether people can get into it depends on how much they can submerge themselves in the media? Like, if you look at the stuff and go "people get off to cartoons?" then clearly you are not able to submerge enough for it. From what I've seen, I'd just say that the amount of work that goes into it is really comical--someone had to animate, direct, voice, etc. Like some of the smaller, more specific kinks or whatever, though, it can be a turnoff to people--otherwise, porn is porn is porn. Posted 10 Feb 2014 So I was watching a documentary in class about South American tribes that have primitive practices, and they mentioned electric eels. Then I thought, oh right, there are such things as electric eels. Why don't we pay more attention to the cool stuff that happens in nature? Despite electric eels having such crazy physiology, the Wiki page is disappointingly short. These things are cool, okay? Goodness. Give a knife fish population a few million years and it starts growing lethal batteries. It's fascinating to imagine what kind of evolutionary process that took. Posted 10 Feb 2014 there are more fascinating and mysterious animals IMO. Tardigrades / Tuns also known as Water bears. Basically indestructible. then there is the jellyfish i have forgotten the name of, but has the ability to regenerate its own cells with brand new ones - effectively living for ever. then there's the giant squid, of which we have not found a living one. theres also the Zombie Wasp. and ants don't ever sleep, or have traffic jams. Posted 10 Feb 2014 No, I know that there are a lot of crazy animals out there. The water bear is pretty much the only animal that can survive in the vacuum of space, though not indefinitely, and not consciously. There's the pistol shrimp, that can click its claw hard and fast enough to cause surface-of-the-sun temperatures underwater. Sounds like it's out of sci-fi. It's on-par with the electric eel for me. Manipulating stuff inside your body for a voltage difference enough to murder prey and stun bigger things is just crazy to me, and it's genius, since they live in ionized water. Sure, there are a large quantity of crazy things alive out there, but as far as functionality go, I think the pistol shrimp and electric eel are some of my favorite things. Longevity and sturdiness are reserved for the mostly mundane creatures. I'm not a fan of parasites, either. But hey, we actually do have footage of giant squid. Posted 10 Feb 2014 Yeah i remember i was at work last year when i saw Giant Squid footage on a television. It was pretty crazy to me. Like, we finally found this crazy near-mythical creature. I know we've found dead ones before, but finding a live one and actually seeing it on tv was just insane to me.
