There's a map of the projected fallout for if they do/did get destroyed, and it looks pretty nasty.

I would not want to be on the west coast even a couple days later if it happened.

I heard that the tsunami reached about 130 km over Japan :o

I think unfortunatelly Ika Musume finally won.

Actually Cascade, according to the Bible, God has taken revenge through earthquakes in the past.

But I doubt that's what this is. And it's very assholish to say such things when people are dying and hurt. =(

I'm starting to despise people.

Cascade, I saw that last night. And more. It honestly disgusted me to see people saying such things.

Let's take a natural disaster and turn it into a religious debate

That pisses me off, HELP these people and do it in the name of whatever you want.

But the point is to help.

Agreed, Cascade. The thing I kind of admire about when major disasters strike is the way it lets people set aside their petty differences and work together. It disgusts me when people make it into a "they had it coming" and think it's a waste of money to send aid. They're human beings, for crying out loud.

Guess those people would say the same if a major disaster were to happen in Canada. "Yup, had it coming. They burned down the White House in 1814. We're not helping."

I agree Cascade, that was horribly gross.

People shouldn't think about the past, meanwhile half the people there don't even know about it.

Plus, if we don't have Japan, we have no Nintendo!!! *Dies*

Why wouldn't Japan know about Pearl Harbor? I'm not saying anything against them... But I'm pretty sure they know their own puppying history.

I heard the 8.9 earthquake made a nuclear reactor explode at the Fukushima Daiichi I plant.

It is now already the second worst nuclear power plant accident, right under

Chernobyl. They're still having a hard time controlling the reactor from a meltdown.

It could very well become worst then the Chernobyl accident.

Here's a recent ABC News interview with a Physicist working on the problem.

People shouldn't think about the past

Your history teacher would like to have a word with you.

But yeah we do need to take this more seriously.

Anyone know of any good websites dedicated to the disaster relief? I might donate if I'm feeling generous one day.

If you're in the USA, you can text "REDCROSS" to 90999 to donate $10(added onto your phone bill). It takes less than 30 seconds.

My dad pays my phone bill and I don't think he wants to donate. But thanks.

Any other ideas?

Red cross

Seems like the most reliable one for you to do.

I've already donated to the australian red cross for the same thing.
