Posted 18 Mar 2012 I know like one person who's making a deal about it. And she's Irish so yeah. Everybody else is like "oh right yeah it's that day" and then sometimes they wear green for it.
Posted 18 Mar 2012 I know people who like it because they use it as an excuse to drink, and in school people used it as an excuse to pinch you for not wearing green. The latter was way more annoying than the former. I can stand the former. Former is fine. Latter is stupid.
Posted 18 Mar 2012 yeah it's basically an excuse day for drinking lol, today was pretty fun for that =D But, like I don't get people who actually like, take it seriously lol. Saint's Days are stupid in general for me. idk. who cares anymore, really. I certainly don't care about St Andrew's Day anyways. :< Totally wore green socks so nobody could pinch me lol. squid I hate that tradition :<
Posted 18 Mar 2012 The people I don't understand are the ones who pretend to be irish.
Posted 18 Mar 2012 my family uses St. Patrick's Day as a day to get together and stuff. My uncle brings Irish rock and everyone eats corned beef and my grandmother's decked out in green everything. AND my mom's side is like half Irish, so we don't have to lie to anyone!
Posted 18 Mar 2012 my familys just a bunch of mutts, but were pretty sure theres irish in there somewhere, so we tend to have corned beef and such....like we did today <3 really nice thing to come back to after eating the same thing (in rotation) for i dont even /want/ to know how long at school. besides that, my mom just likes dressing with themes/holidays. probably something to do with being a gradeschool teacher.
