    I agree that I don't want to see this community dissolve either, but mainly because I don't see how we could carry it somewhere else.
    I don't dislike you, Cass. I can't even fully recall what our old dispute was. A lot of daft stuff has happened on this forum over the years. When it comes down to it I care moderately about everyone here, as long as they're being real, and even if they're lying I'm moderately invested in that, because liars are interesting. Whatever you were or are, I'll be interested to hear about it. But I have a general aversion to poetry about feelings, so I actually haven't read your thread.
    I feel like this forum is almost at a point where we could just use one thread for everything. Maybe it's me but when everything is so spread out, it feels inaccessible. I'm glad we're checking in here.
    Knuckle, if you ever wanted to talk about what's going on, I'd listen.

    Knuckle: I understand needing some time away. Life can be completely brutal at times, and it's easy to feel overwhelmed. Sometimes you just need to step back so you can breathe. 
    Cass: I didn't know you wrote poetry! I went through and read it, and I enjoyed it a lot!

    I never realized you posted these! Having just read them, I actually like them a lot. They have a musical quality, like they would be well suited to being lyrics, but when I try to imagine them set to melody I struggle. 
    I most enjoy Meltdown in Time Zone, I must say. The mechanical imagery is striking after the emotive discussions of the previous poems. Good work!

    I mainly come here to post poetry I write so it's all in one place and all you guys can see it if you care at all. I always wanna just post here, but I don't bother because nobody comes around. Plus I don't think I'm too popular here anyways. Plus it's dead. So I don't come.

    So, I've recently found myself listening to sci-fi novels on my commute to work every day, and I love it. I've listened to the Hyperion Cantos, Shadow of the Torturer / Claw of the Conciliator, A Canticle for Liebowitz, and a few others, and it's one of the best parts of my day. Anyone have any recommendations?

    I've actually been wondering what happened! I've checked in several times this year, but it's been so quiet... The other day, when I tried to log on, I got an error, so I didn't try again until today. 
    I really don't want to see this place die. I want to make it to ten years as a member! But with how quiet it's gotten, I have to wonder if there's anything that could be done to reinvigorate the community. I think we're seeing people grow up from the last big influx of new members, and we haven't brought in anyone new to replace them. Plus, forums aren't nearly as popular of a form of social media as they used to be. 
    Anyway, I'd much rather see this place find new life, but that's largely sentimental. I mean, it's been nearly ten years for me! That's hard to believe!
    Anyway, it's been kind of a rough year for me. I've been trying to navigate life without my lifelong best friend, and it's been difficult. But I'm still working through seminary, figuring out exactly what I believe with regards to God, and trying to figure out how to be a good husband. It seems like life is suddenly moving so quickly. 
    Also, I'm about 10,000 words into a draft of my fantasy novel! I'll get there someday.
    What about you? How's your year been?

    This place died in the new year. What happened? Who still comes by? What's everybody doing? I'm feeling like this is the forum's final year, and I'm wondering if we should just get each other on Twitter or Tumblr or Facebook or something and call it quits. What are the mods and admins views on this?

    Feeling the nostalgia
    Watching a Twilight Princess speedrun, and feeling pretty hyped for the HD version this year. That game definitely ruled, and I look forward to everybody giving it a bit of love again. It happened long enough ago for it to be falling into the realm of classic Zelda now, to me. It's settled.

    The easiest comparison to make for RWBY is Harry Potter, where the story grows and matures with it's characters. And with that comparison, we are at the end of Book 4 where our first character death occurs. I feel bad for all the people and children who Cosplay them.

    Any recommendations? I'm very fond of seafood that isn't cod, so I'm accepting any recommendations to places (preferably chain ones) you might know about.

    I'm blessed to have had lots of different real seafoods from legitimate seafood restaurants and therefore have never been to a Red Lobster.

    How do you all feel about Red Lobster? I went there last month because I had always heard it was a really nice restaurant, but when I went there I got really gross food and the place smelled bad. The service was nice, but the food was absolutely atrocious. I got a dish of what I could only assume was cod, which is one of the most tasteless fishes I've ever eaten, and a baked potato that was cut halfway down the middle, stuffed with butter, and it looked like the entire potato was just rolled in poorly ground salt. Best thing I got out of that meal was a Coke.
     
    I don't know if it's just my experience or if Red Lobster is always like this? Would it be worth giving it a try at a different branch?

    Oh hey haven't seen you in a while! Hope you've been doing well, it's been a sad couple months for us Eagles fans
    But yeah, I dunno if I really like any of the companions. Pretty much all of them explain things and I don't like explanations in video games.
