You should push for the extra credit. You have nothing to lose. And if you have reasonable evidence that the course calendar was wrong, you should explain that to him.
 
Being deceived by false information is extenuating circumstances. If he had warned you a couple of times that the calendar was wrong then maybe he can justify the zero. But if he didn't give you a fair heads up, and he gives you a zero with the knowledge of this, then hes just being a cunt.
 
Im not saying I have high hopes that this will change anything. Some professors are huge knobs about test dates and wont budge. But I have first hand experience of pushing the limits on what professors will let me get away with for years, and the norm seems to be that they are both reasonable and flexible if you can justify your position.
 
One time I convinced a professor to let me take a make up midterm because I had tickets to a baseball game on the date of the test. You'd be surprised with what you can get away with, but you have to ask.

I just wanted to weight in with my thoughts o this because i like this perspective a lot. One point i want to draw is that i think is important to maintaining confidence: its important to evaluate yourself through the decisions that you make, rather then the outcome of those decisions.

The fact that you applied to ten jobs is an accomplishment in of itself. Thats an obstacle that you have already overcome, and the decision that your prospective employers will make about you has nothing to do with what has already been accomplished. We make the best decisions that we can, and then we live with them, and learn from our mistakes, which usually are not really a big deal anyway.

Ive started to adapt this form of thinking lately, and it really helps me take pride in the things i do, and motivates me to make difficult decisions because i know that i will respect myself more for doing so. Its just another way of being honest to yourself, which in turn will bring out confidence and help you to continue following through with actions that match your intentions.

So today i decided to try hatch an army of synchronizer abras of all different natures. Ended up hatching a shiny abra. Hes timid (one of the two best possible abra natures) and has max ivs i speed and special attack.

I wouldn't get my hopes up. The designer that made Gengar look pretty cool in the first place is long gone, replaced by novice scribbles by 13 year olds. They'll probably try to make Mega Gengar look super hardcore and edgy and give him sunglasses or something completely stupid.

Nintendo and Sony come out of this looking so good that its not even funny. Microsoft gets all the backlash, then once the things settle down, they release an exclusive game, and everyone buys an Xbox One, Nintendo and Sony will come out from hiding and follow in Microsofts footsteps with a similar non piracy strategy in their next console. By this time, people will already accept that this is the future of consoles and they wont receive the backlash that Microsoft originally received. 
 
So as a recap, Xbox gains profits from all this new bullshit, Sony and nintendo get more profit for looking like the saviors of console gaming, and eventually, they will also collect profits when this new bullshit becomes industry standard.
 
So at the end of the day, this is a victory for all three corporations.

I've never owned an Xbox 360, but for the last 5 years i've lived in places with multiple xbox 360s. Usually somebody in the dorm/house/suite/cardboard box would buy a multi-player game, and that game would get use on 2 to 3 different machines, and sometimes people would create their own profile on each machine. We were more or less Microsoft's worst nightmare.
 
Earlier this year, I had to plans to buy the next gen Xbox for the house for everyone to use- partly as a way of thanking my friends for letting me use their Xbox's for all these years, and partly because I have 4 or 5 Xbox games that I've personally bought, and I don't have my own personal console to play them on.
 
 
But No backwards compatibility is a Big Deal Breaker and no sharing games is a big Deal Breaker so not buying this thing will be the easiest decision that I've made all year. The funny thing is that I play Madden and other yearly sports games, and hate my cable company, so I feel like I'm more or less the target audience for this product, and they still missed the mark by a mile.
 
 
Maybe I'll buy a Wii U . Back in 2008 I bought a Wii and used it to pretty much exclusively play the Mario Galaxies, the two Zelda games, and Smash Brothers. Funny thing is, those games alone made it completely worth the purchase. I was debating taking a generation off from Nintendo, but not being able to play the next 3d Mario will probably make me feel left out and very jealous.

I feel ill.
