New anime by Mappa that's airing this Spring. Hopefully they keep up the amazing quality they've been doing. The plot is apparently "about a boy who will destroy world if he sees underwear" so it'll probably be terrible and great at the same time, like Ore, Twintails is this season. It's an original anime though (heh original sure yeah heh) so it could go anywhere. Hopefully somewhere good though.
 
Don't mess up, Mappa. I want you to win. The preview video looks nice in the animation department. By the way, one of the characters looks like Velma, but with UNTAMEABLE HAIR. Probably best girl, too. And apparently music will be a major part of it.
 
Also, my learning of Japanese is coming in handy here to notice the HONORABLE Japanese wordplay. The name of it is "Punch Line", right? Well, the Katakana says パンチライン which is "Pa-n-chi-ra-i-n" and sounds like "punch line", BUT if you take off the last two characters, you get "Panchira" which is underwear. Truly, Japan is the master of wordplay.

Yeah if I wasn't more desperate for them to make a series finale already I'd be totally down for a combined remastering of the first two games.

I'd like to see Advance Wars remade uh huh boom boom. Either that or GODDAMN GOLDEN SUN. THAT GAME WAS SO HYPE.

I was talking to one of the physical therapists here who is roughly my age. We were talking about the old gameboy and that got me thinking, if you could choose any classic gameboy (or Advanced) game to get a pokemon omega ruby style remake what would it be?

My sexuality is quite an odd little thing. Primarily, I identify as being gay, seeing as most of the time I am sexually attracted to women, only incidentally being sexually attracted to men. On the romantic attraction side, I consider myself panromantic. So, panromantic homosexual, with incidental heterosexual attraction. Or, if you really want to oversimplify it, panromantic bisexual. 
 
Which works out well for a certain someone, since instead of his girlfriend getting upset at him for having pictures of boobs or questionable pictures of anime girls on his computer, his girlfriend is actively sending him these pictures. That she may also have on her computer. Among other things.
 
Where am I going with this.

I feel that I am constantly in progress playing some Metroid game or another. I've got a Prime 2 file barely started and just lost the motivation to play it (it's kind of a lonely game). Beat Prime 1, played a bit of Corruption once, played Fusion

Yeah, I know about that. I think I probably tried to do the first part of it and just wasn't up to it. The amount of insane Shine Sparks you can do in Fusion and Zero Mission is just amazing. And you can even do them while in Morph Ball mode.
 
Speaking of that though, I should've also mentioned I love the speedruns and TASes of the Metroid games. The amount of thought and planning that go into them are just as amazing to watch as playing the game itself. 100% speedruns/TAS for the games are something to behold. Some of the most impressive speedruns/TASes are of Metroid games.
 
But, yeah, it's sad that they kind of took out the sequence breaks from Metroid Prime 3 and Fusion. The older games are still strong in that department though. Some of the things you can do early in a few of the games is just hilarious. Like getting into Tourian in the original by sliding an enemy into the room that requires a bridge to cross it. Or getting the High-Jump Boots in Metroid Prime 1 at the beginning of the game with a Dash Jump (Scanning something and quickly strafe jumping left/right) off the ship to a ledge. Or getting Power Bombs early by going out of bounds in Metroid Prime 2.
 
Or just infinite bomb jumping/wall-jumping in the 2D games to get to places you normally shouldn't be able to access.
 
I love this franchise too much. Nabe actually linked a game that's coming out/is out on the 3DS eShop that's like a combination of Metroid and Wario Land for the Virtual Boy/Donkey Kong Country Returns where you jump between the front plane and the back plane.

Recently announced was the fifth installment of the Etrian Odyssey series, Etrian Odyssey V. It will be the third Etrian Odyssey game to be released on the Nintendo 3DS, fourth if you count Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth as an Etrian Odyssey game. Here' the trailer below (in Japanese).

Etrian Odyssey, Sonic the Hedgehog, Bayonetta, Metal Gear, Zelda (duh), Castlevania, D4, Fire Emblem, Megaman, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Time Cop, Zone of the Enders, Golden Sun, Rift (MMO), Final Fantasy (3-6), Pokemon, and Kirby.
 
Books are cool too, let's talk about books.
 
My favorite book series is the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. I also thoroughly enjoyed the Harry Potte series, along with City of Ember (I don't care how old I get that book is a masterpiece).
 
Some other personal things, those are nice. Get to know me and all.
 
I'm gay, that's cool, I guess. I have a glass eye, those are neat. Sometimes and eyepatch because eyepatches are sick. Um, I have beaten The Wind Waker in one sitting. And oh! I have 4 pet moths, Poison, Roxy, Rosalina and Luma. I also have a cat named Nightmare and a dog named Jack.

UUURRRRGH. I haven't beaten the game yet because I've gotten all the way to the divine teleporter TWICE, and TWICE I keep INSTINCTIVELY hitting "A" and not "Q." Why the hell they make the buttons switch themselves out like that right before the final level to make you take an unnecessarily difficult detour you probably wont survive is beyond me.

I played more RoR this morning. I ended up unlocking two different artifacts, unlocking a new character (the loader), and beating the fifth level. Sadly when I got to the final teleporter I didn't realize there would be two different options and I reflexively picked the option that had me sent back to an earlier level to go back on a newgame+ sort of thing. Which was really frustrating because I was hoping to get to the final level and fight the final boss. Next time.

Acrid is fun. This game is fun.

I just installed Evolve, and it's a pretty useful program I've already noticed. It knows I play Risk of Rain now, so if any of you want to play a game any time soon, send me a message over steam.

I've unlocked the Acrid, the Enforcer, and the Bandit. I gather they're the easiest ones to unlock, but it certainly is nice using new playstyles. I haven't decided who's my favorite to use yet, but the acrid I have noticed is a great support character who is best when there's a hundred enemies you're battling at once, and quickly switches from "useless" to "broken." I'm certainly eager to unlock these other guys. When you guys are playing online together, what classes do you usually play?

 
Most of us don't voice chat, it's just extremely fun co-op. And yes, difficulty goes up with time.

Man,  puppy that last Catwoman mission. I like playing as her, partially because of the great view and also because you have to play so differently than you do as Batman, but man, puppy Two-Face. In both ears so both sides get it.
