  1. Nah, i didn't make the cover, I wish I had though. I can't remember where I found it, but it's definitl (Why can't I spell that word right?) a joke.

  2. Wrong! Thats BS coming straght from a guy called Super Shadow.

  3. eeeehhhwhwwhw. (twitches at the mention of Celda)

I can't stand the graphics of WW. The Celda games for DS are even worse.

I have the 20 minute trial for ww on my 'Cube, I can't make it past the first 10 minutes without hitting the "reset" button due to the graphics, or rather, lack thereof.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Celda is not ZELDA

(o.k. well, it is but it's still not part of the same contiuim)

(Realistic graphics on Toon link. riiiiiiiiiiiiight. what ever floats your boat, Toon Link

  4. You're doing prett good. In fact, My 3d model maker is probably inferior to ours in all ways but one: My 3d model maker was meant for people like me, who have never used a 3d editor in their life. it's easy to use for simple things, but it's a pain in the butt doing anything more complicated than a house.

you can probaby put shine and different "skins" such as bumpy, smoth, rough, to ou objects, where as my models using glass have as much shine to them as models of rock.

I've tried Anim8tor before, and I gave up, it was way to tricky. I'm suprised you've done what ou did using it. I can't even figure out how to put objects in. keep up the good work

  5. Theres a song by the Beatles that reminds me of how Link must have felt after "losing" Midna

"I'm a Loser", by The Beatles

    I'm a looooser

    I'm A looooser.

And I'm not what I appear to be.

Of all the love I have won or have lost,

There is one love I should never have crossed.

She was a girl in a million, my friend,

I should have known she would win in the end.

I'm a loooser and I've lost someone who's near to me

I'm a loooser and I'm not what I appear to be.

Although I laugh and I act like a clown,

Beneath this mask I am wearing a frown.

My tears are falling like rain from the sky,

Is it for her or myself that I cry?

I'm a loooser and I've lost someone who's near to me

I'm a loooser and I'm not what I appear to be.

    (Mouth Organ/Gutair solo (Harmonica))

What have I done to deserve such a fate?

I realise I have left it too late.

And so it's true pride comes be-fore a fall,

I'm tellin' you so that you won't lose all

I'm a loooser and I've lost someone who's near to me

I'm a loooser and I'm not what I appear to be.

  6. for the love of god no

I've been debating this for months on the nSider2 forums and I'll debate it for months here if I have to.

Midna was a great character. She played a good role and helped move TP forward. But her role is finished. She's done. To bring her back would just be tacky. Someone here give me a good scenario to justify bringing her back. Anyone. So far, the only one I've gotten is "Zant finds Majora's Mask and starts causing trouble in the Twilight Realm!" and I think that's a puppying horrible idea (fan-fiction writers need to stop being retards).

Give me a way that won't be "Link! I need your help!" or "There's this horrible thing that's connecting our worlds that everyone failed to mention until now, but it was ALWAYS common knowledge! I mean jeez!"

People asking for her back aren't "helping the franchise be better". No. They're hurting it by forcing back a character who's role is done. It'd be no different than if suddenly Lord of the Rings part 4 was announced. It's a horrible idea, it's completely unnecessary, and there's no way in hell it could turn out well.

Not to mention Nintendo's writers for the most part suck, and it's WAY beyond their skill to bring her back and have it not be the worst possible excuse.

Scenario one: Upon seeing Links deppresion/saddness (you've got to admit, he looked depressed at the end) Zelda tells Link the details of the Long Past Hero (A.K.A. the Hero of Time) who saved Hyrule and of the (probably, seeing as it never showed up) long lost family treasure, the ocarina of time( there's already speculation among the fans that the wolf/warrior who teaches you all the special moves is none other then the Hero of Time himself) After that, this theorie splits in two.

Theory 1.1: Link goes on a quest to find the Ocarina of time and to learn the Song of Healing (possibly learning other songs along the way) after alot of plot complications and dungeons, Link, with ocarina in hand and Song of Healing learned, goes to the Arbiter's Grounds and plays the Song of Healing. All across Hyrule, miniscule (small) shards of the Mirror lift up and zoom/warp their way back to the Arbiter's Grounds and peice themselves back together.

Theory1.2: Link goes on a quest to find the spirit of the Hero of Time, or Link of OoT (this is, of course, assuming that the Warrior/Wolf that teaches you the special moves in TP is, in fact, the spirit of Link of OoT) after many dungeons and lands crossed to get there, and possibly a few tasks put up by the Hero of Time (you know, save the village under seige, beat the bad guys, bring him coffee in the morning...) The spirit of Link of OoT (soLoOoT, for now, though it's not much shorter...) grants Link of TP the Ocarina and teachs him the song of Healing. from this point, insert last two sentences of Theory 1.1.

"It'd be no different than if suddenly Lord of the Rings part 4 was announced" obviously, you're refering to the movies and not to the books, or you'd know that J.R.R. Tolkeins son has (about 7 years ago, though I'm not sure thats exact,) announced "Lord of the Rings 4". He just didn't call it that. he was also, saddly enoguh, considering the quality of the books, wrote LoTR 5, 6, 7 and so on.

None of that really matters though, as J.R.R. Tolkein wrote The History of Middle Earth much the same way a Historian would write a new history book, LoTR is gust a potrayl of one small slice of the history of Middle Earth, much the same way war movies are just small chunks of this Earth's history.

Besides, the end of ESB (Star Wars IV: the Empire Strikes Back) is closer to the ending of Twilight Princess then the end of Return of the King: one of the secondary charecters is lost, but not dead.

So what you're thought process (to me, at least, is this: They never should have made [Retuern of the] Jedi. George Lucas should have stopped his movies there, because theres no sensible way he can bring Han back. Han's a dead issue. (don't get me wrong, there are plenty who say Lucas should've stopped there, considering the Ewoks, but I'm not one of them) ((forgive me for going StarWars, but it's as natrual to me as anything else))

Granted, ESB did end with the Empire still in control, wheras TP ended with the "good guys" (because it's all perspective, as is anything else, and I wouldn't want to offend those who beleive Zant is good) winning, it was inevetable that ESB would have a "Sequel" (It's not real;y a sequel, is it. hmmmm) and TP doesn't need one. But, If luke had defeated the empire in ESB, you can shure as F

    antom hour glass. (gottcha!)

bet that there would have been a follow up to rescue Han. Granted, once more, it might have been in the Expanded Universe (that vast black hole of Star Wars sequels), but TP dosen't have an offical Expanded Universe for that to happen does it?

(Whew. I think I've seen shorter works being published :embarrassed: )

  7. See above *>does the lopsided grin harrison ford is so famous for<*

Nintendo hasn't even stopped making Zelda games, and I'm already(trying to) making my own

  8. :banghead: I just realized somthing bad.

in order to put all things zelda into a cannon, all, yes all, the Zelda Cartoons would have to be watched. Those things were awful. oh well... Might As well start now, i guess... . . .

  9. Wo ho here's my non-Zelda stuff (i actually made these

  10. You clearly ripped those models, Midna Project. ;P

In any case, the skull was from scratch, and I wouldn't call it a human skull.

It's a bit too monstrous for that.

    Sahaqiel

More likely, Iwish I had ripped those models. Unfortunatly, few people know how to do it, and those that do won't tell (If some one would 'fess up and tell how to rip GameCube models, my life would be a lot easier, but thats a different story...)

The files were ripped, however, I just didn't do it. I Found a site that gave out the models in a .3ds format. (In order to animate, I need a MAYA format)

The point to posting the pictures was just to show how much the quality of a model imporoves when Textures are added (The two models are exactly the same, one just is showing textures; the other, flat colors.)

Heres a model i did make, though:

    FloatingRock3.jpg

    FloatingRock2.jpg

(thre's supposed to be a castle in the midle, but the castle broke the limits on my computer (also note the missing textures on the back of the mountain, yet another downside to havinbg a 5 year out of date computer that was bottom of the line when it was bought)

(This is an older model of mine which I made before I knew how to get rid of the white lines.

  11. Oh, a good way that I could help is the rendering process. In case you don't know, rendering takes time and CPU power and I just happen to have a great cpu in my new system.

That's awsome. You probably just saved my sanity, if not my life. My computers biggest problem is the cpu(I'm running on a ceron of all things). It takes about 30 seconds for a single frame to be rendered, let alone 22 frames per second.

As soon as I get an animation built up, I'll send it to you. Just let me know if there's every anything you ever need.

:n_n: Good News: I got the Zelda files to import to Maya! This means I can start rendering the animations

:squint: Bad News: When I render the animation, all the Zelda charecters come out as a silloutte. This is probably due to me using a demo version of MAYA, so I should be able to fix it as soon as I find a better ,freeer animation studio.

(P.S. check out what I found online:

  12. I'm going to try setting up a system simaler to a clan here:

In order to pull of The Midna Project, I'm going to need alot of help.

I'm going to set up a series of six cells, one for each of the aspects needed to pull off The Midna Projetc (known from here on out as T.M.P.)

I'm going to need some good with:

    Art -(flat, Static images)

Computer Generated Graphics- (kind of like what Hollywood uses in movies)

Computers in general -(getting various apps of the net, writing/reading various Languages, hacking (in the original

sense of the word, not the vandilised common meanig of illegally breaking into other's computers, I don't approve of that,

I mean hacking as in playing around with bits of computer code)

Modeling-(using clays, wood, but it needs to be actual physical modeling, perferably good at painting the models, too)

Animation ( Animation of any kind, carttons, frame-by-frame animations, whether it's just compiling the animations or making

them yourself; flash animation, A kinf od animation often related to the web, flash animation doesn't require frame-by-

frame animating, you create a static image and use a computer program to tell the image how to move, it's easier an

harder that Frame-byframe animation all at the same time)

Writing- ( anything from writing scripts to writing short stroys to writing dialogue)

Contact me through Hyrule.net or at [email protected] to applay for any of the above jobs. Please send a description of yourself and a submison of your work.

  13. If people read posts it would save others alot of trouble.

I didn't say that WW and other Celda style Zeldas weren't cannon, I merely said they weren't part of the same cannon as Twilight Princess, hence an alternate time line. depending on your view, you could say that Twilight princess is the part of the alternate time line, that both are part of "rift" in the time line that will meet up eventually, or that neither are part of the "true" cannon.

(Please read my full post this time, thanks)

  14. wait... . . . . WW is part of the same world as TP and OoT. Never. Celda was way too corny a style for it to be part of the same cannon. Part of an alternate cannon I'll except, but in the same Timline as TP. Never.

(Has anyone noticed the similarties in A link to the past And Twilight Princess are simalr down to the musical scores?...)

  15. try toon link btw how do u do that wth sketchup, i have it and im good but i can not do that.

I wish I could make models that good in sketchup (Give me a couple weeks, I'm just learning how to project Textures). I went to a site called facepunch and downloaded the 3ds files for TP and imported them to Google'sKetchUp. Just google search "Midna 3d" or "Twilight Princess 3D" and look for the facepunch link. once you get the models, look for WinRar (You'll need it to unzip the files) (you can get the 40 day trial version and it lasts forever).

once y9ou get the files and zipped, import 'em into skethup.

(when you move the arms and legs, if the Textures get all screwed up, click undo, then individualy right click all the textures that got screwed up, got to Textures> check "Projected". that should fix the textures.

(P.S. you have to "explode" the models to do anything with them)

Oh, and let me know if you figure out how to do the faces, I'm having major problems with them.
