1. Because that was a 2-d game, they had to be visible. In all of the 3-d games(That I know of)the rupees have been significantly smaller. About the size of a waffle... Just a little smaller.

I cannot wait for this game! :squint:

  2. ((Well... it was fun and all living in Kakariko for a while, but Im not really accustomed to the way you guys RP, taking turns and whatnot. Takes too long, makes posting too difficult... so Im giving Ryu to Jo, make him sacrifice himself for the others, or something. Or, when it comes time, I'll post that part. I'll still be reading this, because it's awesome, but I probably won't post very much. Maybe a little tidbit here and there. As for some tips to controlling him, he's kind of a show off, but very quiet. Likes trying to be the hero, but usually needs help out of really tight spots, and he's kinda like Sherlock Holmes the way he thinks out his moves. If you don't want to you can just ignore him, I was just throwing that out there.))

  3. One of my favorite movies of all time. It's awesomeness. :squint:

Whammy's House was started by Watari, and he brought L there, one of the first. But L did teach a lot of the students, including Near and Mello. Never in person though, only through his laptop.

F was awesome, too bad he died in the very beginning. K was a bit of a psycho, but she was almost as smart as L.

Yeah, it was a very sad movie. Still love it though. Geez, how many times must L save the world? D|

  4. December 26, 2009.

I started watching Naruto today. 15 episodes in one day, woo!

    4 months later...

OMG. WHY WON'T THE NEXT MANGA CHAPTER COME OOOOUT. The anime is too slooooow! D:

    Raaaawr!!!

    Today

5 more days... 5 more days it's the next episode.... and chapter... WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN? I don't know, why do I ask myself? I don't know. I don't know anything, stop asking. SHUT UP.

I fear I am going insane. Even to the point where I argue with swords and random inanimate objects. Hrrm...

  5. ((Wassup, Gael. Haven't seen you in a while. I only read about four pages XD The first two, and the two before I started posting. Knowing everything isn't that important, unless you want to refer to it.))

((Sorry, Im still braindead. Maybe some sleep will help, I'll try posting something useful tomorrow, if you by any chance need me to progress, just control Ryu, I don't care.))

  7. Ryu was frozen in total shock, there he was, seconds away from being completely obliterated by a gang of bandits, when his prayers were answered almost immediately. This didn't stop them from trying to kill him, though.

He dodged a man lunging with an axe, backing right into another man with a sword. He twisted, ducked, and jumped to the side, and when the man swung, he hit the man with the axe. This left them both open for Ryu's blade, which made short work of both of them. A couple more charged him, all armed with axes. He took a step back, preparing himself, when all three were trampled by a man on a Bulbo. Ryu laughed in wonder at how his fortune had changed that day.

As all the other bandits around him were felled, he felt it safe to sheath his blade. He'd done enough for today, and besides, the bandits were no match against these new allies. Ryu turned to jog to the hospital when he ran into his old buddy.

"You will pay." He grunted, shoving Ryu down. He brought out a very familiar looking blade, the very same the big bandit had used about a week prior. Ryu, disarmed and practically helpless, tryed to think his way out, but found he couldn't think at all. He had never been more scared in his life, grounded, about to die. He'd been in the same situation many times before, and he'd always come out on top in the end. How was this any different? The man placed his foot on Ryu's chest, pinning him, and since his sword belt was on his back, it was impossible to draw it. His knife had been knocked away earlier, he saw no way out.

The man slowly raised his sword, aiming it downwards at Ryu.

"Die." He said. Ryu closed his eyes, hoping to prevent himself trying to stop it and causing himself more pain, he'd rather die a painless coward than a pained hero.

Something warm and liquid splattered on him, fearing he had just died, he opened his eyes. The man still stood there, but his sword was no longer in his hands, nor was it in Ryu. Then he noticed a small sliver of steel poking through the man's chest. It was when he fell over his senses returned to him. The doctor stood there, she was breathing heavily, like she'd ran all the way back.

"Wonderful timing." Ryu remarked. She held out her hand to him, then pulled him up.

"Thank you." She said, pulling him into a hug. Ryu stood there awkwardly, not really knowing what to do. His hands twitched a few times before he finally hugged her back.

"I do it all the time." He lied.

    ((LIIIIIIIVE!!!))

  8. Over half the gorons stood silent, not a single one making a sound, and all of them shocked. Ryu stood in the ring, shirtless and panting, staring at Victor as he lye on the ground. The Partriach just grinned as he looked at all the stunned faces of his people.

"Ryu wins!" The elder finally announced. Roars of disproval, anger, and joy filled the room.

"He's just a human, how could he beat Victor!?"

    "That's Ryu for ya!"

"Victor is the greatest! Go home, human!"

    "Remaaaatch!!"

The Partriach chuckled, then waved Ryu over.

"Here, your prize. It was a 40-2 bet, and the 2 won. You made those two very happy." He chuckled again. Ryu thanked him and bowed before heading out, passing all the angry gorons to get to the elevator.

Ryu strolled into Kakariko, expecting it to be just as calm and peaceful as it had been when he left it. It wasn't.

Twenty or so bandits were in the village, mauling people and taking their things, robbing houses, and they were all working their way through to where he stood. He caught sight of one of the bandits he had seen while searching for the Partriach's son. He did not look happy, and it seemed he was heading this mob.

Ryu unsheathed his sword and hid behind a building, he could hear a bandit coming... he crept closer to the corner, and when the bandit was close enough, he jumped out, prepared to impale him. He almost fell down in shock when he saw the doctor, she was crying, and her shirt was half torn off.

"Please... the hospital... they're going to set it on fire..." She whimpered. Ryu nodded.

"Go fetch the gorons, there's one on watch fairly close to the village, he can get the others." She nodded, and started running in the direction of Death Mountain.

"There's the wench! Get her!" Ryu's hair stood on end. He sighed, knowing he must expose himself and ruin his whole entire plan to save her... Oh well. He appeared seemingly out of nowhere, taking out the two bandits with ease, as they weren't even armed. Unfortunately, he was right. another bandit saw him, and called to another, then he called back to yet another, and that one told the boss.

"GIVE ME HIS HEAD!!" Ryu heard him roar.

    18 vs. 1, hardly a fair fight...

Ryu charged them, shouting his battle cry. His hope, was that if they were all focused on him, the other people, including the hospitalized ones, would be safe. And hopefully the gorons would arrive in time to save him, again. The first bandit to reach him wielded a hammer, this one was easy to dispatch as he swung too hastily and clumsily, leaving himself open to Ryu's flashing sword. The next three to arrive all wielded swords, though they hadn't been trained how to wield them in the slightest, making them relatively easy as well. Then the entire mob charged him, with a couple lagging behind with bows.

Twelve at once huh? This should be fun... Ryu drew his knife with his left hand, then crouched slightly. The first one to attack him was obviously much more skilled with a sword than the others, as he held it the right way. Ryu leapt at him, parried with his knife, and thrust. But missed... he was too fast an dodged it. The bandit was now behind him, and Ryu realized his mistake too late. As they all formed a circle around him, including to two archers, Ryu prayed to the goddesses help would come...

    "Finish him!" Their leader cried.

  9. Thump! Yet another goron was shoved out of the ring, landing heavily on his rump. The victor, a large goron by the name of Victor((Lol, shut up.))raised his arms in the air, many gorons cried his name, while the others all wept at the money they'd just lost. An elder goron stepped onto the ring, he tried to speak, but the others drown him out. He raised his hands for silence, while at the same time Victor bellowed, "SHUT UP!" All the gorons fell silent, waiting to hear what the elder had to say.

"Victor has one yet again, I fear there is no one who can beat him." The elder's words were met with loud "booh"s, and upside down thumbs. "No? Then who do you think can get him out of the ring?" Almost all of the gorons began shouting again, Victor's fans insisting he was unbeatable, while the others argued with the fans. Victor bellowed again, this time so the Partriach could speak.

"I know who can beat him." The Partriach smiled. "We just have to wait for him to arrive."

Ryu, panting and out of breath, hastily made his way up Death Mountain. He'd promised the Partriach he'd make it tonight, but it took a lot of time to get away away from the crazy doctor. He shuddered, remembering her insanely powerful grasp around his ankle as he struggled to make it out the window. A goron boosted him up the last part, onto a steel walkway. He landed a bit heavily, rolling over onto his side. He lay there for a while, catching his breath. When he felt rested enough, he got to his feet and made his way inside. There he found the wrestling ring set up, and many gorons surrounding it.

"And there he is!" The Partriach shouted. Everyone fell silent when they saw Ryu, then exploded into cheers. A few gorons shook his hand, others praised him for his heroic rescue of the Partriach's son. More than a little embarrassed, he made his way to the ring. Victor stood there, looking at Ryu in total shock, then began to laugh.

"A human!" He cried, then laughed again.

"This 'human' has beaten many gorons in wrestling before, If I were you, I'd take this seriously." The Partriach stepped onto the ring also, forcing Ryu and Victor to step back to accomodate the massive goron. Victor's smile faded. He looked Ryu up and down, then shrugged.

"If you say so Partriach." Victor said, in an annoyingly sarcastic way.

The Partriach nodded at Ryu, then returned to his place amongst the elders and his son.

    "...and.... Start!"

  10. ((I just realized... time for my guy is going on at a normal pace, while for the other people it's basically at a stand still. So, I guess what's happening with Smithy and Ryu is a bit in the past, compared to the others. And it's just leading up to when they get to Kakariko. I can't really think of anything to post... so this'll be a wee one.))

Ryu lay in his bed at the infirmary, as he had been doing all day. He tried to get some sleep, but right when he started to doze off the pain from the gash on his shoulder suddenly resumed it's breath-takingly painful throbbing. He looked around the room, noting the strange vase, the cracked leg on the chair next to his bed,--no doubt made by the old goron--and a few other random things.

Eventually he so bored he tried to get up, this failed of course, and the doctor came running when she heard the loud thump, and then him groaning. After scolding him and, with the help of some nurses, managed to get him back in bed, she gave him another dose of the absolutely vile water-looking medicine. This time she covered his mouth and pinched his nose after he drank, ensuring he would have to swallow. To her surprise, he managed to hold his breath far longer than she expected. On the verge of him passing out, she finally released him. He swallowed her 'medicine' and rolled over, gasping for breath. She called him a few names and then left, making sure she locked the door on her way out.

This place sucks... Ryu complained about many other things in his mind before finally falling asleep. He didn't sleep long, because his shoulder started up again. Of course! Graaah! So he just lay there in pain, awaiting the moment he'd be able to leave the hospital and it's evil doctor behind. But she is kinda cute...

  11. Ryu closed his eyes, fearing the worst. He turned slowly, held out his sword and opened his eyes. He almost fell down with shock when he realized the rumbling had been the Partriach himself.

"Where!? Where is my son!?" He grabbed Ryu by the shoulders and shook him, not hard, but plenty hard enough to make Ryu almost black out with pain.

"Their.... wagon..." He gasped, stuggling to stay conscious. He fell to one knee, sticking his sword in the ground to steady himself. He heard steel bending and cracking apart as the Partiach ripped the steel cage apart. Ryu never knew what happened afterwards, as he hit the ground unconsious.

He woke up for the second time that morning, but this time it was a much warmer welcome that he recieved.

"So you're finally awake." He heard a girl say. He tried to sit up, but a hand pushed him back down. He tried to figure out why he couldn't see, but soon realized he hadn't opened his eyes yet.

"You're in the Kakariko Infirmary." He heard a goron's voice. He looked to his left, and the girl pouring him some water, and then the right, where he saw the Partriach's assistant. "He had to carry you back, you were in such bad shape. Guess he didn't expect you to pass out so suddenly." The Goron chuckled. "We all feared you dead when we saw you, but the doctor, she's quite good."

"Drink this." The girl propped his head up and practically forced the strange tasting water down his throat. First it tasted like regular water, then it began to taste fruity, like oranges. After that it tasted absolutely vile. Ryu tried to spit it out, but the girl gently laid her had on his mouth. "It would be wiser to just swallow it, the taste goes away then."

But it was much harder than he realized. After a few gagging, throaty sounds, and a few more that sounded like he was puking, he managed to get it down. Gasping for breath, he asked, "What was that stuff?"

"Medicine," She answered. "Now, try not to move too much. I've mended your leg, cleaned your wounds, and bandaged you up, but you won't be fit to do much of anything until you've given the water some time to affect you. G'day." She took the pitcher and left, leaving him alone with the goron.

"How's the Partriach's son?" He managed.

"Just a bit bruised and hungry is all, after he's eaten some proper goron food he should be just fine." The old goron got up and started to walk away, but then stopped. "Oh, almost forgot." He turned and tossed Ryu's broadsword onto his bed. "It's been cleaned and polished, as well as tempered, goron style. Should be a bit lighter now, eh?" Chuckling, he left Ryu in peace.

  13. Dam that looks awesome... Im gonna have to get these games now. After FFXIII, Halo Wars, and Halo Reach...

  14. It can't die yet! I just joined! >:C

Ryu agreed to help the Partriach, and set out from Death Mountain. The goron who had last seen the Partriach's son said he'd seen him heading for Eldin Bridge. After a very human dinner--Ryu wasn't fit for eating rocks, you see--he set out from Death Mountain.

He ran into a merchant goron coming in from the north. Ryu asked him if had any news of the Partriach's son, unfortunately he had none but was shocked when he heard. Ryu thanked him and went on his way.

He set up camp near a pile of rubble, it wasn't a very good camp, just a blanket, a pillow, and a fire, which was kept low to avoid attention. He ate some of his packed food the goron's had given him--dodongo meat--and fell asleep.

Ryu awoke to being roughly handled. When he opened his eyes he was surprised to see he was surrounded by bandits. In fact, they were from the same gang Ryu had taken out the day before.

"Time to teach you a lesson!" one of the larger men snarled. "I saw what you did to me mates! You can't get away with doin' somethin' like that and expect to get off clean!" He drew a sword, a quite large sword. It was almost twice as large as Ryu's, and just as well crafted. "A duel to the death! You, an' me! No interferances. I win, we get to torture you, and then leave you for the kargaroks. You win, we leave, and you can have the brat back." Ryu was fully yanked into consiousness by this. By 'the brat' was he referring to the Patriach's son?

The bandit who had been restraining Ryu shoved him on his face uncerimoniously and stepped back. The large bandit swung his sword, narrowling missing the rolling Ryu. He managed to get to his feet just in time to get thrown back on the ground by the large man. But this time he was prepared, he rolled with it, and drew his sword in the same instant. The large man snarled, swinging his sword horozontally. Ryu backstepped, and then lunged, missing his body by mere centimeters, he managed to slice through his sleeve. The man kicked at Ryu, but missed, leaving himself off balance and open to Ryu's counter kick. He hit the ground with a loud thump, hitting his head on the ground. Ryu went in for the finishing blow, but was tackled by another bandit.

"GET OFF HIM! HE'S MINE!" The large man bellowed, now on his feet.

For a while, they just stared at eachother, trying to predict the other's movements. Ryu tried hard to remember when his brother had once explained how to take out larger, stronger opponents. Obviously, speed would help, but Ryu was still groggy and uncoordinated being freshly awakened. He remembered something about the knees, and the hands... Ryu barely managed to avoid being cleaved in half, the big man had attacked while Ryu was unfocused and open. Ryu grunted with pain, but dared not look at his left arm, not yet.

Gritting his teeth with pain, Ryu ducked and doged, blocked and parried, trying to stay alive while searching for an opening. after his earlier, much to hasty attack which almost had him killed, the large man had decided to play it safe, and attack from a distance with his much longer sword. Ryu saw no flaw with his style, as it left him with few, split-second openings that Ryu wasn't quick enough to take advantage of. After almost being cleaved in half for a second time, Ryu had grown desperate, he threw himself at the larger man, kicking and punching, then trying to attack with his sword. the larger man easily dodged and blocked the lousy, unfocused strikes, and managed to ground Ryu.

"Now, you lose." The larger man grinned.

Think! Ryu! Now! Ryu took in a sharp, pained breath, then clutched at his chest. Broken ribs... perfect... The larger man continued grinning, as did the rest of the bandits. But not one made a sound, not one moved. Ryu didn't even think they was breathing. This is it... the final moment of my life... surrounded by bloodthirsty bandits, about to be tortured into death. How silly of an ending... No! This can't be it! I can still win! Focus... There are approximately 13 bandits, only one is my target. He's large, strong, and a greater fighter than I, but his style is too easily read. Even an injured fool could beat him. He swings once, diagnoly, then twice, both horozontal, then one vertical, kicks, and swings diagnol again. Repeats in reverse, repeat, repeat... The same, every time. This doesn't leave much of an opening, I'll just have to take him while Im down. First strike... kick to the side of his knee cap, should get him low enough to kick him in the face. Second strike, throat punch. Third strike, impaling of heart. And I hope to the godesses they keep their word after he's dead...

Time flashed back to normal, a few bandits laughed, and the large man was walking towards him. all the pain went back into his body too, Ryu gasped as it flushed through his brain. The large man took one more step forwards before raising his sword. Too close... Ryu's leg snapped out, catching him in the side of his knee cap. He fell onto his other knee, groaning, his sword fell as well. Ryu's twisted his body, kicking him hard in the cheek with his other foot. Using his sword arm, the uninjured one, he pushed himself up and used his hilt to bash him in the throat. The large man fell over backwards, gargling, grasping at his neck. Ryu hopped up and fell forwards, realizing his leg was broken as well. His sword fell short of the man's heart and caught him in the stomach. A sick gushing sound was heard as the blade sank easily into his body. The larger man writhed on the ground for a moment, then lay still. Ryu managed to get up on his good leg, using his sword to prop himself up. Panting, and almost blind with pain, he looked at the astonished faces of the others. A look of horror crossed one's face, and they all turned and ran. This was when Ryu felt the ground shaking.

  15. I've never seen it, but my friend has. He told me allll about it. We play advanced versions of hide & seek like that all the time, and we always win. Always.

We could probably win that too, if we were old enough to participate. >:C

  16. Whwn Ryu finally arrived at his destination, it was a good ways into the day. Shocked a little, he took in his surroundings. Everything seemed exactly the same as before, only... There were absolutely no guards outside.Ryu figured they must be off somewhere else and tried to force it out of his mind. But it kept coming back. Forced into reality for the second time that day, Ryu realized all was not well. The gorons ALWAYS had at least a couple of guards outside. He looked around Death Mountain for a while, and after still finding nothing he decided to go inside. Without the aid of gorons this task proved to be much more difficult than expected. When he reached the entrance he was more than weary, he found himself shaking with the effort to stand. Realizing just how out of shape he currently was he resolved to come up with a sort of training schedule. Then he smacked himself for stupidity. They have an elevator! He thought, shaking his head.It took an extremely angry goron's voice to make him finally enter. Once inside, he found it much warmer, but also much noisier. A great deal of gorons were in the main room, and most looked quite angry. First one would shout, then two more, and four more, then the partriach would have his say and they'd all shut up for a bit. This repeated itself many times before he was noticed. An elder brought him over to the partriach, scolding the others for 'bickering so loud they never even noticed their guest...'Ryu bowed to the partriach, and when he came up he was smiling."It's been a while, hasn't it brother?" The partriach grinned, but it was short lived. A hideous scowl formed. "But this was not a very good time for visiting." Ryu's smile also faded. "Why is everyone arguing?" Ryu gestured to both sides of the room with his hands."My son is missing." The partriach replied.

((Bah. I hate the Wii typer. Most of my posts will be large blocks of text untiil i start posting from the computer again. Shhouldn't be too long.))

  17. The day was bright, filled with animals and flowers and many other things that create a peaceful atmosphere. There was an occasional bird's tweet, the sound of running water coming from the Kakariko Gorge, and... a woman screaming?Ryu was thrust from his calm into chaos. A gang of highwaymen were mugging and stealing from a man, pulling along a shipment of weapons. Determining their numbers, he was most likely returning from Castle Town. Ryu quickly counted and calculated his chance of success.Four men... two with swords, one a dagger, and the last a hammer... Three facing away, one turned to the side... My own weapon: a simple broadsword...Step One: kick back of far left's knee out, stab in back. Step Two: block middle left's swing, counter, trip, stab in chest. Step Three: duck hammer swing, drop kick, take out middle right, spin, take out grounded hammer man.Ryu snuck up behind them, watching as they loaded up all the remaining weapons into several large bags. He began to execute his plan, but he'd made a near-fatal mistake. In the middle of step four, as he turned to face middle right and 'take him out' a previously absent fifth highwayman came up behind him, sword in hand. Ryu heard a gasp and spun around, the fifth was standing there, arms raised, gripping his sword. All he had to do was swing, the end. Unfortunately, a sword was impaling him from behind. The man slumped off the sword, falling on the grounded fourth, revealing the man he had rescued, bloody sword in hand.Ryu kicked the hammer from the fourth's hand. After a sharp glare the man shoved his dead partner off and began running away, not looking back once."Thanks for that." The man said, nodding."Are you a blacksmith?" Ryu asked, looking at his pathetically dull sword."Yes, as a matter of fact," The man replied. "did you need something?""Well... I need a new sword. But I haven't got the money." Ryu sighed."Not to worry," the man chuckled. "I can get you one on the house." Ryu's mood brightened as he heard this. "After all that, you deserve a good sword."A while later, Ryu stood in the streets of Kakariko, staring up at 'Death Mountain', as they called it. Why name such a beautiful landmark after death? It didn't make any sense to Ryu. Shaking his head, he started towards the trail that would lead him to his destination, a shiny new broadsword strapped on his back.

  18. Sorry, kinda abandoned you...BUT IM BACK.Suzaku and the others stood around Gabe as he started picking the lock. Suzaku noticed that all of the dogs were barely more than skin and bones. Looking at the land around him, it reminded him of The Lion King, when the hyenas were starving.A few of them made an attempt to get closer, but were turned away with a threatening point. The others were too starved and weak to really do anything other than wither away."Are you sure you know what you're doing?" Sam asked. There was the sound of something metal scraping on metal and then Gabe cussing. "Damn... cut myself..." Gabe stepped back, inspecting his hand."Ill give it a go." Suzaku said, taking the tools from gabe.Within a few seconds he had it unlocked. He handed Gabe his tools, smirking."Oh, now I feel stupid... had it backwards..." Gabe sighed.

  19. Uchiha1996

    Gender: Male

    Age: 19

    Race: Hylian

Appearance: Medium dark hair, usually wears a thick leather jerkin and an old brown traveling cloak. He has a long scar along his left cheek, and various more on both of his hands. He wears common traveler's boots, and has a broadsword strapped to his back.

    Weapons: A medium length broadsword

Personality: A bit cocky, likes to show off, can be very serious when it's needed, but is usually a total goof.

They grew up in the woods, discovering many secrets that allowed them to live so richly yet so poorly at the same time. His brother taught him the basics of swordplay, though Ryu never quite mastered them. He learned to hunt many different animals like a professional, blend with just about any forest surroundings, and set up quite elaborate traps.

When his brother died, Ryu left the woods, having no desire to live there any longer. He traveled around Hyrule a bit, living with the gorons, and the zoras, and a short while in Castle Town. He returned to his old forest home a the age of 17, a well learned young man in many cultures and lifestyles.

He stayed at hoe for about two years, but he found it too lonely and depressing without his brother. Pretty soon his adventuring spirit was calling to him again, so he decided to go see the gorons again, and maybe stay awhile in Kakariko village. He bought a few supplies from Ordon and went on his way, planning to be gone for much longer than three years this time.

((I haven't read up on it all the way... being 19 pages and all, so I'll check it out a bit more before actually posting. Let me know if my character is okay.))
