  1. Game of Thrones, obviously.

A man attempts to write a detective novel, but he is bedridden and delirious due to a skin condition. He is visited by colourful hallucinations.

  2. I played Mario Chase in Nintendoland with Jay the other day. The concept reminds me of a Pac-Man game that came out on the Gamecube years ago, where Pac-Man was played on a Gameboy Advance linked to the Gamecube, and the ghosts were played on the main console. Only the GBA player had a full view of the playing field.

I was hoping that asymmetrical gameplay would be used on the WiiU, so that was good to see. I just hope more developers can make good use of the different gameplay styles available.

Haven't had much opportunity to play around with the WiiU yet, and Jay's using it to re-unlock everything on Mario Kart. He set everything up and wiped the harddrive on the Wii before asking me. Shame, I could have told him about the data transfer.

  3. I think the World's Greatest Detective probably figured it out at some point.

Gosh, it's been awhile since I was last on here.

  4. I drink all kinds of tea, but I'm a luddite and mostly use teabags. I have brown rice green tea at work, which is a little bitter, and I've used other kinds of green tea at home.

I've had lots of fruity teas in the past, but I'm not as fond of them anymore. I still like lemon tea, especially when I have a sore throat and I mix it with honey.

I also drink Earl Grey, but I only like Twinings brand for some reason. I also have a lot of Celestial Seasonings herbal teas, and I sometimes drink chamomile in the evenings.

  5. I watched Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers as a kid. My sister and I used to play Power Rangers as kids. She always made me play Rita, which I didn't like then :P

  6. Tomorrow I find out if I have a job or a career. Not sure where I'll be working in a couple weeks, let alone whether I'll be able to get time off. And this is when I have three weddings and possibly a funeral to attend in July. Life changes quickly sometimes.

  7. Everyone who's ever been an Hnet member shows up. There's an Ebola outbreak and everyone dies.

I wish I could speak every language in the world.

  8. Oh, I remember trying to play through Radical Dreamers, but I couldn't get it to run at the time. Maybe it's time to try again.

I highly recommend Super Metroid. For me, it's the best in the series, with a fair difficulty, wonderful atmosphere and kickass music. To this day I haven't managed to get the best ending (you have to beat the game in under three hours for that, and I suck at speedruns), but I have replayed it so many times for the fun of it, and in the hope of reaching that goal someday.

Word of advice: play it alone, and turn the lights way down.

  9. Nice to meet you. I'm from Canada, and so also of the northerly persuasion. Closest I've been to Norway is Finland when I was on an exchange trip. Looking forward to seeing more from you on the forum.

  10. Reposting from another thread.

I've been rereading "Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader?" and the edition at the library includes the one-off story called "A Black and White World", where comic book characters are actors in the comic books. Oh, and it's written by Neil Gaiman.

  11. Yeah, haven't been on the forums as much as usual, and I'm guilty of going on Skype instead of IRC.

I'd love to see the podcasts up and running, and joining in would be fun. The way my work is going I have more free time than usual, so time change would be less of an issue there.

Anime night was fun. Regular movie nights would also be cool.

I'm kind of torn about the E3 thing. On the one hand, I'd like to find out what has been announced, but that business with the ESA supporting SOPA makes me want to avoid giving them attention or revenue. I don't have a problem with other people here watching and discussing it, but for personal reasons I might stay out of E3-related stuff on this one.

  12. Oh gosh, I've been meaning to watch Castle, but I haven't seen it on DVD here yet. I may have to order it online some other time.

Going through season 1 of Game of Thrones, but I'm almost done.

So how about that Avengers movie, eh?

  13. Yeah, WBC is just insane. I'm not sure half the time if they aren't just trolling for attention.

But on what you posted earlier: comics were a new thing that appealed to youngsters. New media, or new trends in general, tend to get blamed for a perceived decline in 'the youth of today'. Jazz, Rock and Roll, comic books, Dungeons and Dragons, video games, etc.

  14. I've been looking through the Tumblr for Escher Girls, and so many of those pictures are mind-boggling. I guess it's no surprise Liefeld shows up a lot. This one's especially bad.

  15. I will as soon as I can. We only have one movie theatre, and it plays mostly pretty generic stuff, with a few one-night-only niche movies.

  16. Watched No Country For Old Men earlier in the week. I enjoyed it, especially the villain who was extremely creepy, but it didn't feel like there was an ending. Not always a bad thing, just not sure how to feel about it.

  17. I remember trying to do Spirit Temple first. And yeah, Gerudo Fortress is better with just the hookshot, and no bow. But you still need the longshot to cross the desert. But I usually do Spirit Temple before Shadow Temple.

Haven't been playing that so much though, since I've been hooked on Pushmo. The puzzles are really well done, and remind me of the block-pushing games I used to play on the PC back in the day.
