  1. Oh man, please don't bring up the wind arguement. And the "look how complex humans are" arguement is also pretty weak... You can see the physical affects of wind DIRECTLY. The effects of God are things that happen that people decide to attribute to him; and you can't deny that. It's not like God comes out and says "By the way, that was me!"

I was religious for a very long time. I even seriously considered becoming a monk. But I've lost faith for many reasons. God doesn't help everyone in need.

  2. I really don't know if I should say this, but I will anyway. You can't know the feeling of being saved unless you have been saved. The reason that people say that the changes in your life after being saved isn't enough proof is that they don't know just how real those changes are. I could tell you for days how wonderful it is to know God, but you wouldn't believe me unless you live what I'm living.

I don't think that you can reasonably dismiss the possibility that you are only attributing your being saved to God. If you could it would come down to proof of existence... and there is none.

  3. I see what you are saying and i agree. God isn't as "social" as he was in the old testiment. But that is also partially because he was social to his people (the Jews) and when Jesus was crucified it had alot to do with what the Jews wanted, so for the time being God has turned his back on the Jewish people and turned his eyes to us, the gentiles (Non Jews). Miracles are not as prevailent as they were back then....but personally....i think that a country as small as Isreal still being in existance is phenominal...especially since they have been attacked and persecuted so many times. Whether God is real or not....I know the truth. Because even though science can't prove it to me. I know the proof of a changed life. Of people who couldn't hack addictions. Then they met God and almost insttantly they got the strength to give up drugs. And Micheal Francise....became a christian while he was in the mob. One of the ring leaders in new york to be exact. And now, he is the only man who left the mob and is still alive to tell the story...and it isn't like he hides in the Shadows...no....he is a public speaker on his experiences and has writen a book on it too. People without hope and people with nothing left to live for all found comfort in God. I know how i feel and i know how they feel and THAT is enough proof for me....

I know that feelings are not a scientific basis for proof, but its good enough for me.....and its good enough for them too

Well you can't accurately say that God exists because He inspires people to change their lives. It could simply be their own belief in God that inspires them. People also believe in bigfoot and are inspired to dedicating their free time to prove his existence. But hell, there's nothing wrong with that. If it comforts you, believe.

  4. Haha, wow. I guess it can turn out differently depending on how you interpret the questions, though. I was basing mine on a large scale. I think I already stated that I only believe communism works on a small scale, so had I been basing it on that I'm sure I would have been much closer to the area you're in.

  5. You have a nice sig pic. What is it?

    It's abstract! I made it.

You play as Lucas, which I find to be extremely difficult... So that's cool/respectable.

  6. Marriage is for a man and a woman.

I am in no way homophobic, but however, I believe that gay marriage is a no no.

    Civil partnership, yes.

Don't take this as me being snappy: but that choice shouldn't be up to you. Nor should it be up to the government because that's mixing state and religion, which, in my opinion, is a no no. I think it should be up to the religious official.

A civil partnership isn't the same as a marriage. It's only a legal process that ties people together so they share the same legal responsibilities. How is that meaningful?

You also have to realize that someone with faith may not share your faith. Even if it is the same religion they don't necessarily have to follow the same doctrines. The Protestants reformed Christian beliefs pretty drastically, but they are accepted today. Their are always differences in similar views. For instance (and I know this is a lame example), both you and I could say, "Gee, I sure do love McDonald's!" However, you may love the Big Mac, while I think it's terrible. I may love the fish fillet, while you think it's terrible. But in the end we are still going to the same restaurant to get food.

Also, what if they had a completely different religion in which same-sex marriages were permitted, would you have a problem with it then? (I know that doesn't exactly help prove a point but it's something to think about... At the least it will show why you are against it; Wether you are prejudiced or if you just view it as being against the religion.)

  7. Hmm... I'm not exactly politically savvy, but even I can tell Doubleagent is some angsty, teenaged anarchist who constantly contradicts himself and doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. It's not even worth arguing with someone who will call you "ignorant" because you are "too stupid" to understand what they are talking about when their arguement is completely incoherent.

I DO know that communism is the ideal form of government for anybody. The problem is it doesn't work on a large scale (for many reasons and I would digress to discuss them). I also know Native Americans were communist (in a sense) and that seemed to work out pretty damn well for them...

There was this website (I wish I could remember the name) that quizes you and shows you where you are on a political chart. I was a Liberal Communist. :D

  8. Well considering the fact that most of you guys here are atheist why would I try and argue with a brick wall XD!

But you know saying that you believe in nothing makes you doubtful, makes you depressing, and makes you rape babies!Well thats the theory anyway?

Do you realize the more you question things (preferably with supportive evidence) the more intelligent you are? Blindly following what people tell you is not intelligent. Let me point out that even if you do question something, you can always end up believing in it again. In fact, doing so can actually renew and strengthen your faith.

    -An open-minded aethiest.

  9. Wow, this is both scary and fascinating. I would also like to add that the alcohol companies also stands behind lots of the anti-cannabis propaganda.

That's because if people knew weed was less harmful than alcohol they would run out of business, fast.

I already read up on all this, but this is a great article. I'd also like to point out that there are plenty of people that support the decriminalization and/or legalization of cannabis that have never even used it... I have used it. I'm not a big fan, but there really is nothing wrong with it.

  10. Why does this have to be so damn complicated? Let people marry who they want because in the end it doesn't really affect you. If you don't believe in it, it may unnerve you but let them live with a "false" marriage. The only reason you would be bothered by this is because you're an opinionated prick and like to force your beliefs onto others; Like Hitler. Almost nobody likes that guy. That's the real problem here; We have too many mini-Hitlers running around shouting "Seig Heil!" into everyone's face.

  11. Today my class had to draw up a chart thingy that said what attracted us.

Oh God, I could have a lot of fun with that now. XD

  12. YEAH, GUYS, DON'T ANY OF YOU HAVE A SOAL?

    lol.

Surprisingly, a lot of people consider porn a "learning tool" as opposed to sex ed... sure they show you the proper way to put on condoms and other safe sex methods, but what about the people that want to know "how" the act of sex is performed? They can't show you that in schools, so what do you do? Watch porn. Yes, porn is educational. You CAN learn from porn.

Go ahead and try the stuff you see in porn your first time. See what happens. Lol... You can watch as many porn videos as you want but without any first hand experience you still won't know what you're doing.

I think porn is fine. I'm pretty much pro-choice in everything. I'm very liberal. I don't believe I have very many biases. I only occasionaly watch porn, but when I do I prefer amateur porn; like homemade videos... There's a lot more to sex than just sex, and all the vulgar sex-talk just turns me off.

As far as gay porn goes: if you have a problem with it don't watch it. If you're surfing for porn and you catch a glimpse it's your own darn fault; it's not going to kill you.

  13. PROVE IT! Oh wait you can't. No one can. So everyone's wrong, and we all die. No one cares, and we rot in the ground. Well that was dark. The big bang is real. Scientists say so... So is evalution. Makes more since than god.

You aren't very intelligent... This doesn't disprove God in any way. Believing in God doesn't mean adhering strictly to the dogma of any religion. I'm an aetheist too, by the way. (Although I don't particularly like to associate myself with them because many of them are stuck up pricks). Just because scientists say so doesn't mean it's definate. A lot of science is speculation and theory. In the same regard, just because someone says God is real doesn't mean He is.

Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs no matter what. That being said, there is absolutely no point in getting into some stupid religious debate. It is not relevant whatsoever.

Oh, and this is to you and any other aetheists who think they are so damn superior: Stop preaching. It's hypocritical and just as annoying as someone preaching to you about God. Just because you get a group of people together saying "God isn't real!" doesn't make you better than the group of people saying He is.

@ Sahaqiel: In your earlier posts I don't believe you mentioned the information was purely speculation and theory. That's sort of important since the whole goal of this experiment is to learn about and possibly confirm those theories.

  14. Finished making Link's costume today, looks pretty good, but the hat's a bit short because i ran out of material, only just goes down to the back of my neck...

Hmm (since I live nowhere close to you and have a microphone) do you think I could maybe do a voice in it? Like lip sync if you have some sort of talking animal or something? I can do some pretty weird voices. I also have a good voice for like... you know how in movie previes they have that guy that says things like "Get ready for the biggest film of the year" and "The New York Times Magazine says 'A great story plot backed up with incredible preformances'." I can do that :D

If you want you can just PM me telling me to record myself doing a bunch of voices (type of voice and maybe dialogue specified by you) and I will record myself doing that. Then if you have an instant messenger I can just send the sound file over to you on that or e-mail if necessary. :)

  15. Personally I don't like Green Day. Well, I like some of their old stuff but now they're all emo and sad and I don't like listening to their music. Listening to their album is like listening to someone complain for an hour about how their life sucks and how they are outcasts and crap. I mean they CHOSE to be that way they didn't use to be. Then there are people who dress gothic or emo and wear anarchy signs and stuff and when you ask them why they're anarchist they give you an answer that can be simplified into something like "Because Green Day is." That is why I don't like that kind of music. I'm also not trying to turn this into a flaming post but that's my opinion, you asked :D

But yeah I like some of their old stuff like "Good Riddance" :)

  16. I'm not sure if this is fake or if it's real... but if it is real it would be pretty damn cool!!! One thing that makes me think it could be a fake is that Nintendo said the Master Sword was going to have a new look. Maybe this was an idea before they changed the look of the sword? If there is another topic about this I'm sorry just delete this or something.

  17. im trying to collect the whole series what one do you think is the most important or must have outta all of them.

Well the Wii is going to be able to download games for about 5-8 USD. I'm not sure what game systems it will support but at LEAST one Zelda game will be on there. Who knows, they may include all or some of them like the ones for NES, GameBoy, GBA, N64, GCN, etc. You may want to look up what systems it will support so that you know which ones not to get for the other consoles besides the Wii (someone else here might know, though).

Honestly, I dont think there is a most important Zelda game, I think they are all good. Though I think the newer ones are more challenging with the puzzles and... (dare I say it?) stuff. The ones I'm talking about are Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask (I didn't like that one so much), and Windwaker. Also some of the GB & GBA ones are good, but I prefer the 3-D ones.
