At work today I was talking with a co-worker about last nights episode of Dexter "Argentina" in which Dexter's Sister Deborah confesses her love for him. Not the love a sister has for a brother mind you, but the Romantic sexual kind.

Keep in mind Dexter is her Foster Brother and they have no familial connection aside from a shared Childhood.

This discussion led to the topic I'm getting at.

If You had a Foster or Step sibling who you've known since childhood make a pass at you, would you go for it?

As far as legality is concerned, if you aren't blood-related then there really shouldn't be any issue. The reason people cannot marry their siblings is because incest can cause all kinds of troublesome birth defects. Not to mention the general "gross" factor involved with eros love between two people that should, generally speaking, never develop that kind of love for each other.

I would have more of a problem with it if the two grew up together. If they're a cousin, or a sibling that you never saw, then that might be different. But dating a sibling that you've known since birth, blood or not, is more than a little disturbing to me.

sure, dates seem like theyd be awkward, but a relationship like that would skip the whole "getting to know" phase, because itd be unnecessary. aka the gawky teenage phase of relationships.

Season 5 was pretty mediocre. Season 6 was alright but still kind of meh. Season 7 is great though.
