No, money is a tool, it can be used for good or for evil. Like nearly everything else in the world.

Tools are tools, they cannot work without someone else using the tool, For Example: if Your floor was completely ruined by a carpenter with a hammer and you had to pay 10,000 dollars or whatever currency you have to fix it, would you sue the carpenter or the hammer?

Yeah, unless the person who has the thing you want doesn't want anything you have to offer. Let's supose you have a glass shard, and you want to trade for a deku stick. Random person A wants to trade a deku stick for some arrows, but not a glass shard. You then have to find a person who wants to trade a glass shard for some arrows in order to get your deku stick. With money in the equation you can just sell your glass shards and buy the deku stick with the money. This is why money is better than bartering.

Reasons why we don't barter anymore:

You can't exactly bring a cow over to your local Gamestop to trade for a video game.

The things being traded need to have the exact same value. It's hard to trade half a cow.

Bartering isn't done in developed nations anymore because money works better.
