Posted 29 Jan 2013 Ahhhh playing Spyro 2. Immediately I can tell that they just ported their American PSN titles to europe for Spyro, since over here Spyro 2 was Gateway to Glimmer. The "Ripto's Rage!" title screen was strange. But oh, I did miss my beloved side characters, and the obtainable abilities. I'm sure to get more nostalgia from this than I did from the first game, since I never actually owned the first game back in the day, so never played much past the home realm of the second world. The nostalgia starts now. Also I like that for an old game, the voice acting has actually been pretty good thus far for both this game and the last.
Posted 30 Jan 2013 (edited) Been addicted to Persona 3 Portable lately- Persona 3's the only Persona title I've missed. But, of course, I'm doing my usual thing where I deliberately go through an RPG underleveled to make the game harder. Now regretting doing so as of the Arcana Strength + Arcana Fortune boss fight. Oh, I've been re-obsessed with Silent Hill 2 lately as well. The soundtrack is just fantastic. Edited 30 Jan 2013 by Treemotan (see edit history)
Posted 30 Jan 2013 recently played a game with sayuri called Ib (pronounced like eve) for pc. its similar to corpse party in content (stuck in a weird alternate world, shits chasing after you, you dont fight anything, just run like hell, its all sprited...) its got multiple endings and the pathing AI is less determined to chase you, yet is also that much less likely to get trapped in a corner. my experience was something like: me: why do i have to play?! Sayu: because. its you. we want to see you play this. me: can i at least yell profanities at the screen? Sayu: of course :3 and then during actual gameplay "im not gonna go in there puppy that" "ohhhhhhhhhhh no. nonono. you cant make me do that shit im leaving." "puppy IT CAN GO THROUGH DOORS" "i think ill try to leave the museum." "NO puppy YOU" "WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY" "oh gawd theres more of them" "CHECK OUT MY CORPSE PARTY DODGING SKILLS AW YEAHHHHHH" and more frequently than i would like to admit: "GYEAUGH!" Posted 30 Jan 2013 (edited) Okay I can't take it anymore I have to explain why I love RE4 so much. 1. OVERALL FEEL Dark forests, creepy castle, ominous spanish(?) chanting from cultists. Even this diminutive bastard. That there is a downright spooky-ass game. 2. ESCORT MISSION Escort missions are terrible. Your follower will most likely get stuck on a crate, stand in the way of your gun, and must be within ten feet of you at all times lest they stop moving entirely. THE PRESIDENT'S DAUGHTER DON'T DO ANY O'THAT BULLSHIT. She stays directly behind you at all times. If you aim anywhere near her she will duck. She has the pathfinding of a goddamn human being. THIS IS HOW ESCORT MISSIONS SHOULD BE. 3. INVENTORY If you're good at puzzles, you can carry ANYTHING. 4. THIS GUY EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS GUY IS GREAT. Edited 30 Jan 2013 by DR SHRUBBERY! Posted 30 Jan 2013 i really need to finish that. and find/buy/beat the third phoenix wright game. recently started playing tales of graces with sayuri and her roommates. i finally understand why people like tales games, though my skills at blocking/dodging are still rough, at best. we all get to customize our characters to our likings, and everyone tends to like being a different person, so theres no conflicts or anything. i mostly play as richard (who keeps leaving the goddamn party) but i can manage asbel as well, and i wanna try hubert again when he finally joins up. only thing is that the voice actors just feel so flat. like theyre all speaking in a monotone, and arent even mildly distressed by anything thats going on. why have you guys not invited me yet seriously Ahhhh playing Spyro 2. Posted 30 Jan 2013 lol Hunter is such an ass, but he's still okay. He's like "Oh WELL DONE. I didn't think you'd make that glide! Look out for the next one though!! It's a toughie!"

Posted 1 Feb 2013 I've been playing Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed, and I'm really impressed. You might think it's a poor man's Mario Kart, but it's really good, and more ambitious than I've seen a Mario Kart game try to be in years. Also, I've been playing Audiosurf and sometimes going back to Minecraft. I've also been playing New Super Mario Bros 2, which is a good way to kill time.
