Actually, of all the different designs you can stick on a 3DS, I don't think I'd mind having that pink flowery one.

I liked Dark Souls before it was cool.
aka Demon's Souls

Okay maybe I will do some of that maybe.
Okay okay okay but assuming dark souls 2 is a prequel and not a sequel, and chronicles what the journey to lordran is like (possibly from the point of view of a proud knight of balder leaving his now ruined country in pilgrimage), I can't help but wonder; What are the possibilities of Solaire of Astora making an appearance? I also wonder what other kinds of people you'll run into on your way to lordran. It's really exciting to think about, really. I can't shake the feeling that we'll see somebody like the crestfallen warrior, except not crestfallen yet.
By the way, new trailer OH MY GOOOOSH LOOKS SO GOOD

Also here's a rebuild of that sunbro build i posted up there. I decided I didn't need 50 faith just for the sunlight spear. I like this build because sure I'm using the grass crest shield for stamina regen, but because it doesn't really matter what ring I use after havel's, I can maybe just use the stamina regen ring, and swap the shield with any of the other crest shields. I can really swap crest shield around at will for whatever situation, like if I'm fighting fire dudes I can pick up the dragon crest shield, or if magic dudes, the shield oscar uses. Even the blood shield has the same weight and functions as the other shields and has excellent defense against curse/bleed/poison. But sometimes I want the red tearstone ring so I have the grass crest ring? Idk. This is a faith build that can adapt, is what I'm saying.
I'm also stuck choosing between astora's straight sword and velka's rapier. Sure, the straight sword does more base damage, but it's only like 30+, and at that difference, it really depends more on which is easier to use. Rapiers do a TON more damage on backstabs and ripostes, so maybe I should use the rapier? And then there's the barbed straight sword, which has a pretty short reach, but does bleed damage. I dunno. I'm just thinking about things.

So, I got System Shock 2 last night, mainly because I heard it was a spiritual predecessor to Bioshock, and I didn't mind Bioshock.
I was so unprepared for what came.
System Shock 2 is the most terrifying game I've ever played, it genuinely deserves the title "Survival Horror." It isn't really like Dead Space, where you've got heaps of jump scares, but otherwise, feel okay. It isn't like Bioshock, which can have its scary moments, but is much more focused on the story behind Rapture, etc.
System Shock 2 just pervades you with an intense feeling of dread, you get scared, you jump at things even when you already KNOW they're gonna be there. The atmosphere is stunning and the audio is genuinely the best I've heard in any game for ages.
The game is nearly 14 years old, but it's aged incredibly well.

Chase:
I do wish news outlets weren't so manipulative; my friend recounted his viewing of the news during the earthquake in Haiti. The reporter was informed in the middle of the broadcast that the earthquake had happened. At the end of the broadcast, he said something like, "Now if you'll excuse me, I have a plane to catch!" Like, parasitically jumping on the story becuase it brings in ratings. Similarly, titles of news articles on the internet blatantly take things out of context or highlight the most offensive part to draw in readers. It's really disgusting to see sometimes. I remember I saw an article that was titled something like "Bill Clinton: 'Americans have the right to be stupid'". Obviously that's pretty offensive sounding right?
In the article it was actually Clinton talking about how freedom works in America; everyone is supposed to be provided with equal opportunity, and if they want to do cool stuff, they can, or if they want to gamble away their money, they can, but the country should make sure that damage like that isn't completely irreversible in case someone learns from their mistakes. "Americans have the right to be stupid". It was more complex than that one phrase, but that's what they chose to title the article.
It's crazy; I read an article about how this young journalist got so many awards and such high-ranking praise in the journalism community from top-notch journalists, and the reason was that he just simply reported the news. Didn't put a spin on it, didn't have any misleading propaganda titles, didn't insert his political views anywhere, he just wrote news as it happened, and he gets awards for it.
My friend and I were talking about how the news stations were probably donning party hats because every time a tragedy comes by; they don't have to write BS news on uninteresting or irrelevant stories, and are pretty much scheduled for just one thing for weeks on end until everyone's burnt out on their cartoonish reporting and stops caring. It makes me worry for the future.
I hope the injured in Boston are doing well, and I hope that honest facts get brought to light. I also hope grandiose statements like "Justice wins" are blacklisted in the journalism world.

FYI: brodongo, a member here, was actually at the race cheering some people on since he lives in the Boston area. He was less than a mile away from the explosions. He's okay though.

So I got bored after coming home from Outback Steak House and decided to take a bunch of random-ass pictures of myself sitting on my bed. Consider this a gift as I, like the majestic Yeti, generally do not like appearing on film or in media.
Live long and prosper.

If Silver never comes back we know for a fact it's because his parents watch this forum too, and have seen us asking him to kill his parents. I hope they faith in his common sense, because evidently we do. Or maybe lack of common sense is what LL is counting on. I'll keep your post noted just in case I see any sad news of killed parents any time soon.
I'm watching you LL. You make comics about dogs but I know you're a killer at heart.
