Plus, I'm hardly surprised that a villain called The Mandarin didn't make an appearance in the MCU while the canon was establishing itself. Not exactly the most PC villain name.

The Mandarin was created in the sixties, long before the PC movement. That being said he has gone through a few redesigns.

Welcome to the inaugural post of the Merry Marvel Cinematic Universe Fantasy Casting call. This new weekly post features actors and actresses who I think have what it takes to play Marvel's heroes.

Character: Janet Van Dyne (The Wasp)

Janet was once a flighty self obsessed heiress (Think Paris Hilton before being rich and talentless made you famous) who became a hero following her father's death. She became the ally and later spouse of the hero Ant-Man.

My choice to play Janet Is Alison Brie one of the stars of NBC's Community.

Brie Is a great actress with unbelievable range both comedic and dramatic. Not only Is she on Community she also has a role in Mad Men, not to mention roles in Scream 4 and The Five Year Engagement.

I think Alison has the talent and the Screen presence to bring this Avenger to life, what say you fellow Marvelites.

I don't wanna see little Annie Edison to get beaten by her spouse.

They won't use that in the MCU.....then again they did use Tony's alcoholism.

Check out this sneak of the redesigned Spider-Man costume for Amazing Spider-Man 2, reminds me of Mark Bagley's take on Ultimate Spider-Man.

Aside from the eyes it looks very similar to the Sam Raimi Spider-Man costume, the piping, the colors and even the texture.

looks like a very radical change From the first film.

People were wondering who Guy Pearce was playing. Is he playing the President?

I really do not like the way that Ben Kinglsey delivers his lines based on this and the other trailer. It's really flat, but not in a sinister or "I'm holding all the cards" way. It's just awkward.
