  1. Edit: Oh, yeah, Dark Midna, I was just wondering, seeing as the Dark Race references are working out great in this RP, if we could make this like... The prequel to The Dark Race?

This time through the desert, Tor wasn't making the same mistakes. He would stick to the shade of the dunes as much as possible, occasionally holding the "mirror" above his head, sort of like portable cover. He was still bewildered as to why he recognized the symbol on the mirror. He knew that he had never seen it before then, but it was as familiar to him as the rising sun. He just shook his head and continued up a large dune. It was much steeper and higher than the others. Then, as Tor reached the peak, he realized that this was no dune. It was the border between the Gerudo Desert and Laky Hylia! At least... What was left of the Lake. He skidded and hopped down the other side of the mountain of sand and stone. He finally came to a halt on some cool, wet grass. "What happened here...?" he asked himself.

    "It's the Twilight."

Tor spun around, looking to see who had spoken.

    Nobody was there.

  2. Blargh, I'm bored, this is like... The first theory I've come up with, so bear with me.

    I believe that the reason Zelda, Ganondorf and Link keep appearing in the same area and time is because they rely on each other. One cannot exist without the others. Proof? Here you go;

Din created the earth, right? Okay, and then Nayru created law, the sky and the sun. Then Farore created life to uphold that law.

Din and Nayru couldn't be able to exist without Farore's gift: Life.

Nayru and Farore wouldn't exist without Din's gift of the Earth.

And Din and Farore couldn't exist without the wisdom to create life and a new world.

    saklfhkaghs;lg

So I think that's why Ganon, Link, and Zelda are usually in the same game together.

  3. Tor choked and spluttered on the cool trickle of water. The small amount of liquid had been enough to wake him from his deep sleep. He stared up into the sky with glassy eyes, unblinking, unmoving. Even with the dark raincloud covering the sky, the world was still enveloped in an orange tinge. Then something echoed across the desert, something that dug into Tor's mind and enveloped his heart, a requeim of darkness, of misery, and of ancient power. He stared towards the six huge pillars that marked out the Arbiter's Grounds. Even from such a distance, and in such poor weather conditions, it was still fully obvious what was taking place in the Great Coliseum. A huge beast, gigantic by all standards, was hammering its roar against a smaller being. The second entity was perhaps the size of a small child, clad in orange and pale green garb, and wearing a strange purple mask.

    He was laughing.

This was the strangest thing Tor had ever seen, in all his years. The child was floating several dozen feet above the Grounds' Great Coliseum, while the monster swiped at it with huge, curved claws.

"Wait... I know that thing from a book!" Tor muttered. "The Lizallord! No... Wait. It's a skeleton... So that would make it...

    The Stallord."

As Tor finished speaking, the "child" raised one hand, and the Stallord simply crumbled into dust. Then Tor froze as the being turned towards him. It giggled once, and proceeded to lift tonnes of sand out of the ground without lifting a finger. After several minutes, the "beast-child" stopped digging. A small platform rose out of the ground. It groaned to a stop, apparently reaching its maximum height. Tor had to avert his eyes as something on the platform reflected the sun. He moved himself to a better position, and watched the scene unfold. The beast-child stared at the silver object for several seconds, too, then flung it as high as it could in a rage. The reflective object flew out of Tor's sight, then, as he spotted it once again, planted itself neatly in the sand before him. "What is this...?" Tor bent down and lifted it up. It was lighter than he expected. It was sort of a quarter-circle shape, but jagged on two sides, as if it had broken from a greater whole. Only one side was reflective. The non-reflective side was quite plain, with only a tree-trunk rings pattern on it. The other side, however, the reflective side, had the same pattern with runes inscribed within the gaps. In the corner was a triangle-shaped inscription, which looked like part of a symbol that Tor knew only too well.

The only odd thing was, Tor had never seen such a shape in his life.

  4. Hmm... would I get a GTA game if it were Mario-themed...?

    YES.

    YES YOU WOULD.

At least, judging by this video, I certainly would.

  5. I dunno. I've been looking at vids and reviews of PBR, and overall it seems like a pretty good game. I've played Mario Galaxy before, but that's probably why I don't want it that much... I pretty much already know how to beat the game. Super Paper Mario, it's mostly 2D, and it seems a bit easy... Mario Kart actually looks alright. So, I have to decide between Mario Kart and Battle Revolution.

    POKEMON BATTLE REVOLUTION PROS

With PBR I can download Pokes from my DS.

    PBR can play online.

More awesome Pokes like Dialga, Giratina, etc.

    Pretty good graphics.

    Multiplayer.

    More stages.

    Custom characters.

    Multiple files.

    More Battle Modes.

Knowing Pokemon Battle-type games, the mini-games section would be awesome-r than Colisseum or the Stadium games.

    POKEMON BATTLE REVOLUTION CONS

    Not an RPG.

Probably some terrible movesets thrown on some kickass Pokes somewhere in there.

    MARIO KART PROS

    Multiplayer.

    Online play.

    Good graphics.

    A great party game.

    LOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAADS of stages.

    More items.

    MARIO KART CONS

Restricted to racing around a track...

    Only fun on multiplayer.

Same old characters... Apart from Rosalina.

Well, less pros and more cons for Mario Kart. I think PBR wins.

  6. Also, are we going to be resurrecting Link in this or something? I haven't really picked up whether that's where it's leading or not.

Wow. Nothing could've prepared me for this explosion of posts...

This is basically an RP about TP, except for the fact that old bosses are reappearing and Link isn't coming at all.

And, for simplicity's sake, we'll just assume that Majora killed Link in MM, therefore Link couldn't be reincarnated.

    @Skull_Kid:

we have a hybrid twilight deity, a near revived god - even though he's one with erratic and unpredictable powers (though i'm going to knock back his powers somehow), a hylian with supernatural endurance, a giant wolf, and a possible monster slayer still in the forest.
    :woot:

Weeeell, the Mirror is still broken, just as it was in the game, although I guess there are some things that even Majora doesn't know... ;) Zelda and Midna are still alive; Same as before, same story as TP, just more enemies and no Link. And yeah, Skull Kids are Kokiri Children that have been lost in the Lost Woods. They don't age or anything.

I guess there isn't really much else I can write until something happens to help Tor out... Or just worsen his condition. If that's even possible. Knowing Majora, it probably is.

  7. I've decided to buy 1, maybe 2, new Wii games. Which one(s) would you guyts recommend? I've already got Mario Kart Wii, Super Paper Mario, Pokemon Battle Revolution and Mario Galaxy on my list of games to think about, what should I add?

Just so you know, I already have TP and SSBB.

  8. Name: Alex "Nyfer the Second" Arbiter

Age: 340 (ever really ages so he looks 13 ish)

    Gender: Male

    Race: Twili/hylian hybrid

    Province: Snowpeak

History: Year have past I still have my purpose in this

realm being the deity of this realm was enough but

what I went through was blasphemy. Towards my ongoing

campaign to rid the Twilight Realm of evil it lurk with in even my soul.

being the second of one is hard to in brace, but it has its rewards

towards me. Having to be the second last of kind is hard, but when

my leader died he a signed me to play out his role it was very hard

so I abandon it leaving it to another one. One thing I with never forget

is my leader Nyfer I was dubbed the second of his kind. Like him I was

born a hybrid, with a legacy to live up to. Then again I'm the

Twilight Deity. With an arm and part of my face infuse with the twilight that is instilled

with my bloodline feel as if I have crushed bones within my arm the pain gets to me

far too many times. My name is Alex, this is my story!

    Third-Person please...

Oh, and yeah, if you're in Snowpeak, you can't exactly go to the Twilight Realm yet... Unless your Twilight Deity can travel between realms at will. Seeing as this RP follows TP's storyline and all...

Also, @Skullkid, yeah, the characters do have to meet up somewhere, a few more people joining would be great, but I've never had an RP more successful than about a page.

"Augh, why does this always happen to me?!" Tor yelled. The mass of Bulblins behind him screeched and bellowed in a bloodthirsty tone. "I can't believe this!" Tor's predicament had gone from bad, to worse, just because of the turn of events not long before.

The Bulblins' camp was very tactically placed. They had an excellent view of the desert plains, and so any attackers would be picked off by the Bulblin Archers. And seeing as nobody except Tor dared to venture into the Arbiter's Grounds, there was nothing to worry about from that side. Tor ducked behind a broken wall. The bars of the cell window were still in place, providing the perfect cover for the time being. Several Bulblins passed in and out of Tor's sight, unwary of the intruder only several feet away. Tor looked to the right. A Bulblin was walking around the corner. He knew he had to do something, or else the Bulblin would raise the alarm. He snuck up behind the Bulblin, and kicked it in its side. The breath was driven from its body and it fell to the ground, unconscious. Tor took its bow and quiver, then tested the draw strength. It had barely enough power for a close-range shot. "Yep, trust these Bulblins to use toys..." he muttered. Then he tested one of the arrows againts the string and pulled it back to the maximum draw. "I guess this will have to do for now..." Then his hand slipped from the string, and the deadly arrow flew from the bow with a twang. It whistled through the air, and buried itself in a Bulblin's stomach. The Bulblin fell to the ground, groaning, as every other one raised the alarm and gave chase.

A couple of arrows whizzed past Tor's head. He turned and hit the ground running. "Good thing they have terrible aim..." he muttered. One of the Bulblins, though, had had the commonsense to take one of the boars they had on hand. It was much faster than Tor could run, and Tor knew he'd be captured, or worse, killed, if he was caught. A nearby rock provided the cover he needed to turn his situation around. The boar, knowing only to trample enemies, smashed into the rock and threw its rider off. The Bulblins, having shorter legs that Tor, eventually gave up the chase due to exhaustion and the inability to run fast enough. Tor sat down, took a quick breather in the hot sun, then began to make his way through the desert. "Next stop, Lake Hylia..." The thought of water made him choke on his dry tongue. "Water..."

Even Tor's supernatural endurance was no match for the Gerudo sun. Eventually, he collapsed on the burning sand. Dehydration and exhaustion had apparently gotten the better of his mind, for he emmited laughs that were touched with hysteria. "Hah! Armbiter's Grounds! Hee hee hoo! I made a joke..." He sighed and breathed in a mouthful of sand, then spluttered and choked to get rid of it. The rough grit was still lining his mouth, but Tor didn't care anymore. Then... He shuddered and coughed as another entity, one that felt as old as time itself, entered his mind. Words that were not Tor's own erupted from his mouth.

"The Twilight... Will take over... If nothing is done... Heroes will rise... From the land... And Zant will die..." Now confused and dying from exhaustion, Tor simply let go, and allowed the darkness of sleep... Or was it death...? To envelope him.

  9. XD

That last part made me laugh.

Tor stared in shock at the skeletal creature. The silence was broken only by the slow shifting of the sand below them. For what seemed like an eternity, neither of them moved. Then, all at once, Tor began running as the monster let out a piercing screech. At the same time, several other corpses around the room began to re-build themselves into more "skeleton-warriors". Tor, not looking back, continued south, jumping across the safe platforms and ducking as Sand Worms jumped out of the sand. He continued through the massive entrance, and found himself, for the first time in months, in the hot, sunny plains of the Gerudo Desert.

"What's happened here...?" Tor wondered as he looked around. The place where his village had once been was now unrecognizable. The once proud pillars and towers of the Arbiter's Grounds were now lain about in ruins. Tor though, shaken as he was by this bad turn of events, remembered to scout out the area before attempting an escape. A cluster of tents stood among the ruins, most likely housing a group of Bulblins. More Bulblins carried out their daily chores; Repairing weapons and garments; Building obstacles to hinder any intruders; Practising archery and other forms of combat. Most of them carried a bow and a large club, with the occasional unarmed soldier. A boar turned on a spit within the camp. A few live boars stood tied to posts, with a full set of tack on each. Apparently the Bulblins used them as battlehorses. Tor took extra note of these; They could come in handy.

    Now for an escape route...

  10. It could be that you can never find it in the games because it is transparent.

Transparent > Clear > Clarity? The Triforce of Clarity?

    ... Nah...

    The Triforce of Nothingness!

Yeah! I think that sums it up.

  11. That was AWESOME! When I was reading the lyrics to the Song of Storms, I actually got a chill. And I'm definitely sticking to the story you just wrote; Bringing monsters back from the old games seems like an awesome idea.

Tor paced back and forth in the cold central room of the Arbiter's Grounds. The blue flames of the four torches cast an eerie glow across the hard walls. Tor was trying to think of something, something that would help him get revenge on the Bulblin Army. There was nothing in the Grounds that he had heard of that could help him; Only far-fetched myths about spirits and dark portals. Maybe... Maybe somebody in Hyrule can help me! Tor thought. But how could I get there...? That damned fortress that the Bulblins've set up... I need a weapon. He raced to the door at the southern side of the room and slid the stone door to one side. The space beyond was originally a battleground, judging by the weapons and skeletal corpses strewn across the floor. At least, the parts of the floor that hadn't collapsed into the pits of sand. Tor walked to the nearest pile of bones and reached down to pick up its sword and circular shield. The tools of war wouldn't come loose. The skeleton had an iron grip on them. Tor began kicking its arms, but it was like the corpse was going to hold on no matter what. Then something happened that made Tor yell in astonishment and horror. The skeleton's eyeholes began glowing red, and as they did, it stood up and let out a piercing screech.

  12. But, I wonder, how is the spreading Twilight going to be dispelled...? And, at the very moment this RP is starting, what parts of Hyrule are under Twilight...?

I suppose at the moment it's only the Gerudo Desert, Lanayru (Except for Hyrule Castle [Town]) and Snowpeak that are under Twilight. And the end of the Twilight'll probably be just like Link did it: Kill Zant.

  13. This RP has NOTHING to do with "The Legend of Zelda: The Dark Race / Betrayal".

This story takes place in the time that Twilight had begun to take over Hyrule, but Link, having been killed by Ganon's forces a substantial time in the past, has not been reincarnated, and the land is in peril...

Several heroes rise up from the four provinces to take back the land that was once theirs, and rid Hyrule of Zant's evil.

Biding his time, he hid in the Arbiter's Grounds and waited. He lived off whatever he could find. Rats, bats, the occasional spider... Water was especially hard to find. Tor hadn't left for months, terrified of what he would find when he left the jail.

adkl;jaslkfhl somebody else can start; otherwise I'll post my bit later.

  14. It seems as though Unique boss is raking in the majority of the votes here. I reckon that it was a dragon though but not Volvagia. Only by thinking about it's fire breathing abilities.

Maybe it's some kind of demon? In the GCN version of TP, which was also the original, the Gerudo Desert was architectually the same as the the Desert from OoT. The Spirit Temple is in the same spot as the Arbiter's Grounds, at least it seems like it, seeing as the Desert in OoT was all jumbled up. Now, the Arbiter's Grounds is filled with skeletos, stalfos, redeads, staltroops or whatever, Poes, and Stallord. All of which are undead. Poes are the Zelda equivalent of ghosts, and ghosts are commonly known as spirits. Spirits... Spirit Temple... I think that proves that the Spirit Temple is the Arbiter's Grounds.

So, perhaps the boss room from the Spirit Temple is also where you fight Stallord.

  15. You're no Doubleagent. We already have our annoying retard thanks. :D

'Fraid that doesn't comply with the new RP Guidelines.

WARNING LEVEL RAISED. In future, you make a post like that in this forum, you get a temporary suspension. Clear? Good.

  16. Ololololol.

    Stop and go?

    Anyways,

I'm really spaced at the moment... :embarrassed: (Like in drooling on keyboard. :P )

    Okay,

You go around telling everyone that if they spam they get a warning level increase. Yet then you come to a topic like this and say something totally unrelated, and if anyone else catches on and spams, they still get a warning increase. Seriously. It's not like you get special rights just because you're a Moderator. You were only made a Mod because you were helping out on Hyrule Online, though your randomly annoying remarks stuck. As they say, old habits die hard, but spamming isn't really a habit. If you ask me, I don't think you deserve to be a Moderator.

So yeah, raise my warning level to 100% if you like, but that's not going to change your behaviour. If anything, it'll make it worse.

Also, I'm SO going to print off a couple dozen copies of this flyer and give one to each of my classmates.

  17. King Dodongo is ruled out immediately. Stallord appears to be bipedal, while King Dodongo is a quadruped. The whole skeletal appearance is wrong too. Stallord has four large horns on the back of his head. King Dodongo has a form of shield, resembling that of a protoceratops. In fact, that's probably what KD was based off...

Gleeok. No. Two heads, more of a serpent form, helmet-things on both of its heads... No.

Volvagia is a serpent. It has two stubby little arms, whearas Stallord has a pair of massive humanoid limbs. And while snakes and such have several dozen ribs, Stallord has only six on each side.

To me, Stallord appears to be more of a warped, skeletal, demonic human.

    Wait....

OH MY GOD. I think I might be on to something here...

The twelve ribs, the squared teeth, the five fingers with opposable "thumbs", canines on both sides of the mouth, hair, a humanoid spinal column, shoulder bones similar to that of a human's, arm bones and joints EXACTLY THE SAME A A HUMAN'S, and even the front of his neck (the bit that resembles a pair of ribs... I forget the term)!

Seriously. Stallord looks to be more of a human than anything else.

    Maybe it's Sarah Palin!

  18. I personally hate them. Whatever image(s) you began with are deformed beyond recognition, they're quite obviously saved as a .bmp format, and using default text(s) = BAAAD.

This'll probably turn into another flame war, but I'm nice, so I'll make you another one. :zelda:

    3/10 for trying.

Only thing is, if I'm gonna make you one, you'd have to shrink that army banner... I'm pretty sure your images are over the new signature size limits as it is...

  19. Let's see...

A sequel to Twilight Princess, with a longer, bigger, more engrossing storyline.

The return of the Twilight Realm.

A bigger world, outside of Hyrule.

MOAR COLOR. D: I felt like my screen was going grayscale when I entered Lake Hylia for the first time!

More than just 3 main dungeons. I mean, come on!

    MORE ENEMY VARIETIES.

One or two extra big baddies. (It would be nice to see Vaati again, this time in 3D)

    HARDER BOSSES AND PUZZLES.

A darker and more scary storyline.

    A new and improved clawshot/hookshot.

    More items.

It had better be on the Wii! I'm not going out and buying ANOTHER console just for the sake of a single game!

  20. The one you're missing is always among the ones you know you have.

Just like when I needed that ONE LAST HEART PIECE in TP. I was absolutely sure I had all of the ones from the Forest Temple, but then I talked to the fortune teller, and she showed me the last one I needed. Hooray! It was in the Forest Temple.

  21. I'll clear this up. Every .4 of a second, you lose one Rupee, but in return, you are invincible. Once your Rupees run out, though, the armor becomes dormant and you walk around as if you had the Iron Boots on.

    180px-Magicarmor.jpg

  22. As soon as I saw this was one of your topics, I knew it'd be good.

    I was right.

The only small problem I have with it is that it looks too feminine. His eyes could be a tad smaller and more oval-shaped, and his lips are a little too dark.

Other than that, I can honestly tell you that I rarely see pencil drawings as good as this one.

And unlike other artwork, the more I look at this, the more I like it.

  23. I agree, it was pretty easy. At first I thought it would be like the Pit of 100 Trials in Paper Mario, but this was easy.

Eh, I've never played Paper Mario, but from the way you're talking about this "Pit of 100 Trials", I assume it's hard.
